A crowd of tens of thousands gathered at one place in front of the gate which was the entrance of the city that Rei was currently heading to.
from what Rei felt through his senses were four existing city entrances, two of which were filled with people in large numbers.
"grandfather, I'm hungry" a 7-year-old boy, his voice so hoarse it sounded in his ears.
"in a moment, you go to sleep first, grandfather wake up when we have entered the city" said a middle-aged man, with his smiling face he tried to calm his grandson.
The boy only complied, he tried to sleep in a cart with a stomach sound that sometimes rang, seeing the state of his grandson who was very hungry made the grandfather so sad.
because he did not have the money, the grandfather only hoped that later when he was in town, he could sell something to get money and food to fill their stomachs.
he even hoped that there would be a benefactor willing to give him and his grandson some food.
Earlier, the grandfather and the other residents heard the news that they had to leave.
News of the appearance of the Monster Gate was heard on the radio broadcast, making people from neighboring towns and villages flee to the city that his grandfather and grandson wanted to enter.
however, there were still many people who were reluctant to go evacuate.they believed that nothing would happen, because of the distance of the Monster gate that was far from their residence.
the grandfather was only a simple ceramic craftsman, but from morning he had not sold anything so he only brought his potluck when traveling.
"excuse me old man" the old man looked back, for a moment he was surprised when he saw the person who called him.
"iy.iya sir what's wrong?" he tried to answer in a humble manner, he was afraid of offending the person before him.
"give this to your grandson, he who looks very hungry" said Rei, he thrusting a basket full of food at the grandfather.
"uhh..?" the grandfather was confused, because the person he had just met suddenly gave him something.
"but sir, I don't have anything worth exchanging for" said the grandfather, his stomach rumbling at the sight of food that only the rich could afford.
This scene looked very cliche to Rei.
"take this and do not refuse, for the payment you just tell me why many people are gathered here, and also about this kingdom if you can" said Rei.
"mom.not that I refuse master, but this is too much for me to take" the grandfather's mouth trembled.
"i accept this, look at your grandson if you want him to suffer from hunger" said Rei, then the grandfather saw his very thin grandson falling asleep with a pale face, eventually it made him melt and accept Rei's gift.
"oh god, thank you sir for your generosity, I pray that HERIOS will always protect you" the grandfather said as he tried to kiss Rei's shoes, but was quickly restrained by her.
some people consider HERIOS a god and others consider him an ancestor of mankind because of his characteristics and many more beliefs about him.
he was only 7 years old but he understood very well how to thank him, it amazed Rei.
"hey look! the man gave free food to the old man and the child" many people saw him and some looked envious, but unbeknownst to anyone Rei used silencer magic, it made the babbling of the rotten people around become not heard at all by the two, Rei did not want the family meal to be disturbed.
After eating some bread, the old man began to speak.
"so master two days ago there was.." the old man began to explain why many people were gathered here, while listening well Rei remembered the monster that the dark lion had fought against.
'it looks like the king and his soldiers will be in vain come here thought Rei' his pati.
"wait a minute!" speaking to himself, but the grandfather who was next to him misunderstood Rei's words.
"ah. no, continue" the grandfather was confused but he continued his explanation.
Rei recalled that the gate he had seen through the memories of the previous dark lion had not been closed, it signified that there would still be Monsters coming out from there.
'why did I forget it?!' cursed for something he always forgot.
1 Hour later.
A while had passed, Rei was quite happy to chat with the grandfather, maybe they were a retarded person but their behavior was more civilized than most people.
"attention everyone! there's good news for all of you" people who were noisy started to quietly pay attention.
"the mayor wants to move all of you to the spaciousness that is in the city, for the process of its record will continue tomorrow" this announcement made the people happy, they began to go to the field directed by a number of guards so that no one would roam.
"thank you for the information grandfather" said Rei kindly proving his closeness to the grandfather even though it was only a short meeting, Rei also asked the little boy to call him a brother rather than a master.
"no no. I should be very grateful for your generosity son" replied the grandfather, they separated after that.
Unbeknownst to him, Rei's grandfather secretly slipped some money and letters in their cart before parting ways.
It was fortunate that the grandfather did not ask why or whatever it was about him, because he did not want to think about it now.
ctt: - So far I feel the plot of the story is really chaotic, because I can not really describe everything I think.
I'm also bad at giving names.
- I often do re-edits on each chapter because the writing is too bad to read.
- CRITICISM AND ADVICE WILL BE VERY HELPFUL TO ME WHO IS NEW WHEN IT COMES TO WRITING STORIES.
