POV Xavier
I'm looking for him at this party to meet him to fix everything.
When I met him I knew he was still mad at me. For days we did not meet, flowers and all speech could not help his anger.
"How are you?" I greeted him with simple words. Actually I don't know what to tell him. So I chose the safest sentence in my opinion.
"Live, of course." He replied to me curtly even then directly avoided looking at me. A single sentence could lure him that angry. Was my question wrong? I asked if the news was wrong.
"Can we just talk outside. Walk with me in the restaurant outside." I need to talk to him alone. At least straighten out everything David said about what I just understood about my mistake.
"It's still a long time I'm not leaving. I still have a lot to do." And now he's not giving me the ease. But fine, just consider it my punishment this time I'll go after him.
"Well, I'll wait until you're done, but after that can we talk to both of you. We can walk together. Let's just say I'm your company while you can say hello to the others." I don't want him to go out by himself to say hello to those handsome men, I see the men he's holding. They looked at him like a starving man.
"alright. I'll introduce you as Father's inexperienced lawyer at an event like this. You accept that."
"It's okay." I agreed, I became his companion on this show. Some people greeted him familiarly. Some saw him with a charmed look. She looks beautiful tonight. And I stood next to her just to watch her so familiar and smile with another man. But I responded so cold. Until my greeting was answered with a sniffle. Now he hates me.
If I could pull it now from here now I'd do it but I think it'd make all the rage so high on me. So I installed myself as a partner and was polite during the event.
We walked and talked to someone else for almost an hour. Finally he seemed to be done, he looked at me still with an annoyed look. His face looked tired already talking to a lot of people.
He picked up the champagne and almost gulped it in one gulp. He looked at me who was still following him in annoyance.
I think there's gonna be another fight tonight.
"I'm done, let's go. What do you want to talk about? Where's?" He walked away from me. Looks like ready to go anytime. But I'm not gonna let him leave just like we have to talk.
I held her hand tightly. Ignoring the annoyed face she showed me.
"Follow me."
"Two streets."
"I brought my own car."
"Leaving here won't go away." I insist now. But it seems he gave me a chance. He followed my footsteps into the basement without protest, but also without speaking.
While sitting in the car he threw himself in the seat next to me without looking at me. His hands were crossed on his chest, his lips tightly clenched to the sign he was upset with me. Had I made another mistake earlier, I had been waiting patiently for him, following him for this chance to talk.
"You still pissed at me?" He was looking at me fiercely now. A single word could make him this angry.
"Obsolute? I'm angry at your indifference." I don't care, which part. If David is here he can certainly explain smoothly where that is part of my indifference.
"I care about you. You know that." He sighed.
"What part of the night do you care about me?" I saw it, what does it mean. What he should have wanted me to do. I'm not an expert like David, if he expects me to foresee problems like this I give up.
I remember what David said to me about my mistake. I'd better discuss it first and then to straighten out the problem.
"David says I'm stupid like you say I'm stupid. He explained at length my mistake. I don't care about you or I'm not jealous about David, I don't know what I'm supposed to do. I'm not jealous, but David's my friend, on the one hand I also want to prove you're really serious, so when he says he's approaching you I don't have a problem. But obviously I have a problem seeing those men looking at you. But if you want me to pull you out of there, don't I make a pointless commotion that embarrasses you."
I'm waiting for his reaction. But he remained silent and did not even see me. Maybe it's important to talk first.
"I'm sorry, if I don't pay attention to your feelings, I'm more likely to agree with your father than with your feelings. That's wrong, David said I shouldn't have brought your father into our relationship. He said I was stupid for that. I have no experience in chasing women."
Now he sees me. Maybe we can make up tonight.
"Please tell me what you want from me. I'm not David who knows in detail what to do." How I was said not to care about him.
"You suck." He wants to talk to me now. That's a good thing, even though he's still angry at least he still cares. I clasped his hand.
"Yes I suck. Playboy David said the same thing to me. I'd rather you get angry than you let it go. I'll know what to do if you're upset. Again you're better than you silenced me like yesterday.
"Everything that playboy says."
"A lot of things, which he obviously said my stupidity was not helped." Now he's smiling. I finally saw her smile again after a long time. "What makes you say I don't care about you tonight?" Now he turned his waist towards me. His hands propped his head up against the back of the chair, a position he used if he wanted to play around with me.
