Chapter 22: Lunch

"Let's see Miss Emma I'll show you your room first" Carlos told Emma. Emma's office is right in front of Javier's.

"Why did you suddenly become Mr. Javier's secretary?" carlos asked Emma who was tidying up her desk. Carlos actually does not agree with Emma who is Javier's secretary. She fears Emma is suffering the same fate as her previous secretary.

"I don't know either, sir, suddenly he appointed me as his secretary. I cannot refuse. As usual Mr. Javier does not want rejection," concluded Emma resigned.

"Emm, you can't just call my name." Carlos asked. He wanted to be closer to Emma.

"But Pak___"

"Oh come on Emma, I just want to be friends with you" Carlos smiled.

"Hmmm, okay.." replied Emma.

"As long as you're the boss' secretary, you have to be patient. He's the mood-moody type of person. I hope you can last a long time. No secretary has survived with him for long. From what I've observed, it's happened since my wife died" Carlos said, taking a seat in the chair. Emma just nodded back at Carlos.

The phone call shocked Emma from her job, "Hello..?" answer Emma.

"I want coffee right now" Javier said, turning off his phone. Emma immediately rushed out of the room towards the office pantry.

Soon, Emma knocks on Javier's door and enters with Javier's coffee.

"It's the coffee, sir" said Emma, putting a cup of coffee on Javier's desk. The man stopped his activities for a while, took the coffee from the table and sipped it slowly as it was still hot.

"Why does it taste so good.." Javier's mind put his coffee back on the table.

"Is there a meeting today?" javier asked again to focus on the laptop screen in front of him.

"Today's empty sir," Emma said.

"For lunch, what do you want to eat?" ask Emma. Yes, for Javier's lunch, it's Emma's job.

"It's up to you, as long as it's not spicy" Javier concluded.

"Good Sir. Then excuse me first" Emma said out of Javier's room.

"Excuse me sir, I'd like to deliver your lunch" Emma said. Emma then put it on the couch table.

"Why just one box." Javier raised one of his eyebrows. Emma was confused. He did not know if his boss turned out to have a large portion of food. He had to ask Carlos.

"Sorry sir I don't know if the portion of the father's meal is much. Then I'll order again" Emma opened her phone.

"You think I'm a pig" Javier said.

"Who told him he was a pig, so sensibly so," Emma's inner.

"In the future, when ordering lunch not just one. Usually I always buy lunch for the secretary as well" Javier concluded making Emma understand. He thought his boss ate a lot.

"Thank you in advance sir, but I always bring provisions from the house of Sir," said Emma bowed her body.

Javier looked at Emma for a moment, "Then bring your supplies here" Javier said.

His boss will take him to eat together.

"Sir.I ate in my room only.." said Emma nervous and of course immediately get a deadly gaze from Javier.

"Alright then sir," said Emma went to fetch her provisions.

"Is it possible that Mr. Javier always had lunch with his secretary" Emma murmured in her room.

"Hi.." said Carlos, who just walked into Emma's room.

"I want to take you to lunch together" Carlos said.

"Sorry Carlos, but I'm being called the boss of the room" Emma said.

"Hmm.all right then. I'm leaving first, don't miss your lunch.." said Carlos.
