Chapter 61: Refusing
Javier returns to the place where he last left Emma and sees the place empty. Emma wasn't there.
"Where Emma went," Javier's mind took her phone and called Emma's number. The call came in but it wasn't picked up. Javier called him back several times but was not picked up. Javier started to worry, he was afraid that something might happen to Emma when she left. He glanced at his watch.
"Oh.shittttt.., I left him for an hour or so" said Javier to be self-defeating. Emma must be disappointed in him. Javier finally decided to go back to his penthouse. I'm sure Emma was there.
Upon his arrival at his penthouse, Javier hurriedly opened the door of his children's room and breathed a sigh of relief when he saw Emma sleeping with her three children. Javier moved his foot toward Emma.
"I'm sorry" Javier muttered Emma's forehead long enough. Javier covers Emma's body to the extent of her chest. He then returned to the living room for a little drink and took a sip of his cigarette hoping to remove the burden on his mind. Twice he had pursued the woman who was similar to his late wife but he always lost track of her.
In the morning Emma woke up early. After washing her face, Emma heads to the pantry to make breakfast. Emma passes through the living room and finds Javier sleeping on the sofa. The man seemed to be cold. Javier appears to be sleeping curled up on the couch, perhaps the effect of the rain falling in the morning. Emma steps up to Javier's room and picks up the blanket. Emma then enveloped Javier's body and tidied up his drink.
Javier was a little disturbed when he heard the sound of his three children laughing until Javier woke up and realized his body was covered with blankets to the chest. It is certain that Emma covers him. Javier smiles happily because Emma is paying attention to him. Javier gets up from the couch and heads to his penthouse mini bar, joining Emma and her three children for breakfast.
"It looks like you guys are very happy." concluded Javier sitting on a chair.
"Morning dad" said Zio.
"Morning boy," Javier replied.
"Emmm, I will make breakfast for you, I only made 4 servings, I think you are still long awake" said Emma. Emma
"Today daddy will take you for a walk again before we return to California later tonight" Javier said as he waited for his toast to be cooked in the toaster.
"Really dad?" ask Lucio happy. Javier nodded making the three children cheer in excitement.
"We love you dad" said the three children compactly.
After breakfast Javier told his three children to take a bath and get ready.
"I want to talk to you" said Javier, holding Emma back from leaving. Javier took Emma to sit on the couch.
"I'm sorry I left you last night" Javier said, grabbing Emma's hand.
"It's okay Jav. We'd better forget it," Emma said, making Javier furrow his eyebrows.
"Then what about my love statement last night, should it be forgotten?" ask Javier. Emma was disappointed in him.
"Sorry Jav, I can't take it. I love other men" said Emma pulling her hand from Javier's grasp. Emma gets up from the couch and leaves Javier glued to his place. Emma refused his love. It was the first time in his life that he was rejected by a woman. Of course Javier felt pain in his heart.
