CHAPTER 113 | Farewell Gift

**** Flash Back one year ago ****

(Chapter 112) when Arka brought Mira home from the playground

“ How can I trust your words?” said Mira at that time who was in the car Arka.

“At least not for today. You will see the difference when I sincerely want to help you or when I have a veiled intention”, Arka replied.

“ Until when?”, asked Mira with her anger who could not stand the stubbornness of Arka at that time.

“Until my heart says to stop” replied Arka immediately

Arka felt something flowing out of her nose, again blood flowed back. This was the last time Arka nosebleed, although he felt that his body was not in good condition but Arka never checked himself. It was this situation that ultimately made him choose to immediately check himself. In a fairly crowded hospital, Arka walked with his body that felt heavy. With his pale face he entered the doctor's room without his parents.

“Where are your parents? Didn't I say to bring the parents?”, said the doctor who saw that Arka came alone into his room. Arka just smiled while shaking her head, she felt her body was not good because she did not dare to say it to her parents.

“Both of my parents are in a meeting. Just tell me honestly doctor, I am an adult so I can represent myself”, replied Arka casually responding to a question from the doctor and not taking it seriously. Confidently Arka felt that her body was just too tired and lack of rest but slowly her confidence faded, her smile began to disappear from Arka's face when she heard the doctor explain her current condition.

“You have blood cancer”, said the doctor who immediately released confidence and Arka smile. Like the sound of lightning in broad daylight, Arka was surprised and did not expect that such a bad thing was happening to him, as the time around him had stopped for a while, Arka could barely feel her heartbeat. The words of the doctor who sentenced him to one of the deadliest diseases were a horror to him. Arka came out of the doctor's room still in a state of disbelief that he had blood cancer.

The day that Arka passed was very painful and heavy. Abandoned by the lover he loved so much, he had to fight his own illness without anyone knowing. A seventeen-year-old who was supposed to enjoy his youth with happiness around him but Arka had to live his teenage years with pain and solitude. Anger, anger, sadness, disappointment all blend into one in Arka's heart.

“ So, I'll be dead soon? Huh! True very short life”, he said when reflecting in his room, again the blood flowed out of his nose, whether it had been mehow many times today he nosebleed, again,

“If I continue to bleed I will die with a lot of blood loss, not because of blood cancer”, he said by trying to comfort himself while cleaning the blood coming out of his nose.

“Ahh!! This blood.. Why not stop!!”, Arka exclaimed when she was in the school toilet alone, there were already many tissues that she spent to clean the blood that just kept flowing from her nose. Until he arrived he felt that his head was very painful, like he wanted to break it. The unbearable pain made him fall to the floor while continuing to hold his head and endure the pain.

“No.. Not now. I need more time. Please, just let me be by his side for a little longer, please!!”, he asked by fighting the pain in his head. Ayapu can't predict exactly when Arka will die, nor will the doctor. Arka could only live hoping that she did not die today day after day, that was all she could do to this day.

The day when the last moment for him saw all the friends and the girl he loved so much. Arka told the truth, her pale face made Mira even more worried. Mira doesn't even stop crying when she learns the truth about Arka, she doesn't realize that Arka has been fighting alone with no one by her side as a friend to strengthen her day by day.

“Why not tell me? When you're dying like this why just tell it? Why are you carrying this burden alone?”. Shouted Mira while crying bitterly staring at Arka, Mira still could not believe that the man in front of her, she was still, the man he once loved and considered a friend to this day experienced a very bad thing in his life.

“If I told you what would you do? You will come back to me and love me?”, replied Arka immediately while wiping away the tears that covered Mira's face.

“Don't be silly Mira, I don't want you to love me out of pity. After all I just want to give the best parting for you so that your memories of me are not bad but a happy” Arka continued his words while continuing to smile and wipe away Mira's tears.

Mira helplessly held back her tears and sadness, she hugged Arka tightly while crying, happy memories with Arka momentarily surfaced in her mind, about how sweet Arka was treating her, she said, how he tried to make her laugh and so on, for there were no memories of the reward that Arka gave her, it was that gave Arka bitter memories by loving other men and ending her relationship with Arka.

“I am a very cruel girl, if time can turn then I will not leave her and remain with her until the end of her life. Foolish with my own feelings”, he murmured inwardly regretting each of his bad actions on Arka.

“Let's make good memories together, for you and for me. At least this is all I can give”, Mira said by releasing her embrace

“As a farewell gift”, said Arka adding to Mira's words while holding both Mira's hands and her pale smile.
