CHAPTER 15 | Meli

The atmosphere became quiet because of our quarrel, I really did not want to discuss this issue because I did not want to remember the disappointment that I had felt a few years ago. One of the reasons why I rarely visit my parents is because of this. I'm still disappointed in my parents for this wedding.

“Mama , papa, Rein ask for help if mama and papa want Rein happy at this time, do not discuss Rein's problem with Sam again, let us solve everything both. Can you ma? pa?”

The atmosphere was really unpleasant, and my phone rang, Sam called me at the time.

I replied with a smile while picking up the bag next to me and the car keys on the desk.

“Next time yes. If it's longer, Reina will stay. Today Rein has to go home.”

I stood up and kissed my parents' hands and hugged them, and Mira did the same.

“Oma, opa, Mira home yes.” Said.

My papa mom just smiled and stroked Mira's head. That night we went home, although with a slightly tired body condition, but it looks like I have to go home because I feel uncomfortable here.

That night I went home, I just kept quiet and drove while Mira was asleep after we had dinner together on the road. Time passed, and I drove along with the radio on.

That night Mira and I got home at ten o'clock that night, I called Sam to come out carrying Mira to his room, while I cleaned myself and went straight to sleep without saying anything to Sam. Sam just stroked my hair and kissed my forehead when I was fast asleep after a hard day.

The morning came, I heard the sound of bird singing and the morning sunlight was quite dazzling to the eyes. When I opened my eyes, I realized that I was late waking up and had no time to prepare breakfast for Sam and take care of Mira this morning.

When I opened my eyes, I went straight out of the room, I saw that the food had been arranged on the table, Sam was wearing an apron I used to wear with food in his hand and put it on the table, I also saw Mira sitting at the table and joking with Sam. This view is really beautiful. I smiled at the manner of the two of them.

“Mama is awake?” Mira said that she saw me in front of the door

Sam looked at me and smiled.

“Eh Rein, let's eat first. I learned to cook,” He said proudly.

I furrowed my brows, last Sam mass the egg just scorched, and now he wants me to believe that he cooked all this?

I came and sat with them for breakfast. I saw Sam preparing a vegetable soup with chicken flour and a parchment on the table.

“Rein, I really cook myself, easy soup, just enter all kinds of vegetables and then seasoned a little already. Flour chicken and parchment also I myself fry it.” He said while patting his chest.

I looked at him with a small smile looking at Sam's silly behavior in the morning.

“It's not you who cooked Sam, you buy where?” I asked while looking at him.

But he still denied it for a thousand reasons that made me laugh.

“This is really me who cooks, just ask Mira. Kids never lie, do they?” Ask Sam

Mira just smiled as she shrugged her shoulders and continued eating. I looked down and found the pepper bag and picked it up, when I opened the receipt for payment of the food inside. I was really laughing when I saw all of this.

“Sam, what is this?” Showing her the receipt of food payment.

Sam looked at it while smiling shyly and scratching his head.

“I'm right Cerohoh” he said while hitting his forehead.

That morning we had breakfast with a pleasant atmosphere, Sam made my day cheerful.

That morning Meli looked quite busy preparing breakfast for Raka's son. And the phone rings. Meli looks at her phone but she doesn't see the number, just a personal number.

Meli raised it and the voice sounded like a disguise.

“Meli, you are really stupid. All this time you were fooled by your husband.” Said.

Meli heard him confused, who is this person, why the morning call him and say this nonsense? in Meli's mind.

“Who yes? And what does it mean you talk like that?”

Meli responded calmly, Meli did not want to be provoked by the emotion of talking on the telepom with a stranger.

“Your husband, he's not out of town for work, he's out of town to meet his affair.” Said.

The mysterious person hung up the phone and made Meli even more curious about this. Her premonition was already unsettled when her husband said that he had to go out of town for work.

Shortly after, the mysterious man sends him proof of a luxury hotel invoice. Meli's hands have been shaking to see the evidence of the hotel invoice, Meli does not want to believe in something like this, this could have been engineered. In this very short time, anything can be done.

Meli's heart beat fast, but Meli tried to convince herself that her husband would not do such a thing.

“No, not possible. Relax Mel, this is all fake. This is not real.” Exclaims.

But a few minutes later the doorbell rang which made Meli a little surprised. Meli peeked out of the window to see who was coming, but the man ran and left on his motorbike leaving a small box at his doorstep.

Meli looked at her suspiciously, her hands were shaking again, she had expected what was in this box, but she assured herself that it was not proof of her husband's photo with another woman.

“Relax Meli, maybe the person just dropped off the package.” While stroking his chest.

Meli started to open it while taking a deep breath and meant it was not something she thought about. But when it was opened, Meli was really surprised. All those photos, it was a picture of her husband with another woman in a bar and in a hotel room.

Meli started to feel weak and dropped her box and started crying. Her legs could no longer stand up straight to see all this, hundreds of years married, but her husband lied to her and had fun with other women. Her heart was broken when she found out her husband was having an affair.
