CHAPTER 55 | Everything Is Just A Start For Us

As usual, the law firm where Laura worked showed signs of busyness at nine in the morning. Although they started working at eight in the morning, they started accepting clients at nine in the morning. Laura is quite busy with her current job, how not? Since her victory a few days ago Laura has been a senior lawyer and trusted to have her own team at a young age.

“Alright, we are direct for the team.. You, two girls please come with Ms. Laura and be her team then you guys come with Mr. Bayu. Let's work.” Excite Mr. Benny

Their work began, there was almost no word of rest for them including the amount of work to accumulate. No wonder that lawyers often overtime to solve their cases that accumulate, ranging from small cases to large cases.

Laura looked at the apprentice son who was still working diligently, like looking at himself first. Laura once felt the taste of being an apprentice, the work that piled up did not make her lazy, Laura again saw a fiery spirit in the eyes of the apprentice child that made Laura return to the spirit of doing her duty.

“You guys, rest first. If tired do not be too forced for now, do it gradually so that you do not feel saturated.” Laura gave me advice.

“We're fine ma'am. We are happy to jump in directly and help solve this all.” Answer one of the other interns.

Laura took out her phone and began ordering some food for herself and her team as a celebration of her rise to office. An hour after Laura ordered the food, the food courier had reached the receptionist and Luara went down to pick up her order and called her team to eat together.

“Hey, let's eat first, I've ordered food to celebrate today.” Laura exclaimed as she showed the food she had ordered.

Not only ordering food for himself and his team, some instant foods such as pizza, corn dogs and other instant foods were ordered for his office friend.

“Hai all.. Let's take a break, I've bought some snacks for us.” Exclaims.

That afternoon they all ate together and joked with each other for a while before starting to work on the documents of the prayer of the unresolved case. But in the midst of their happiness, one of the apprentices said a forbidden word that should not be said in the office when they were a little relaxing.

Because when one of the employees said this word, there was always something unexpected that made them all overwhelmed. From afar they had heard some people coming with documents and some people shouting on the phone in angry tones.

“I don't want to know, I'm suing for divorce. Prepare your lawyer, I'll prepare my lawyer for a fucking male basis” cried one of the mothers who came in very angry.

Not only that, some people come with scars all over her body and come to the law firm to sue her husband for violence.

The atmosphere of the office that was originally quiet and they could work comfortably, in an instant became very crowded with cases that they brought.

“God.. Is this a law firm or a police station? Why are there so many cases of violence here?” Excited one of the interns.

“Clean your food and this table, then get back to work. Today we will be very busy.” Laura exclaimed as she rubbed the rest of the leftover right that might still be stuck in her mouth.

Today ended up very tiring, again some of them including Laura had to return overtime to solve the case of past unresolved cases.

Laura closed the documents and went home to her apartment early because she felt that her body had arrived unwell, many times Luara was nauseous and limp, his face was pale, hinting that Laura should go home and rest.

When Laura was preparing to be ready, again she felt nauseous and dizzy. As she was unable to hold her body, Laura fell and lost consciousness.

Once a roommate of Laura's, the dance sees Laura suddenly passing out and quickly calls for help to pick Laura up, the dance picks up Laura's cell phone and contacts Laura's lover Ken about her circumstances.

In the car he was driving casually, Ken suddenly got a call from his power that made him smile sweetly. But when Ken received the call, it didn't belong to Laura.

“Halo Ken, this is Luara's friend Dance, can you go to the law firm now? Laura arrived fainting.” Panic Dance.

Hearing that Ken instantly changed his path and headed straight for Laura's place at high speed.

The first day Laura served as a senior lawyer, she fell unconscious. Dari and some of her colleagues tried to resuscitate Laura by giving her oil and warming Laura's body and waiting until Ken came to pick her up.

It didn't take long enough for Ken to arrive and take care of Laura. The feelings of panic and worry were mixed into one. After Ken arrived, Laura slowly regained consciousness and opened her eyes. Laura saw people swarming around her and also saw Ken there.

“Lau.. Are you okay? What the hell's going on? Why is it like this?” Ask Ken to panic.

“I'm fine. Just too tired Ken.” Answer Laura limp.

“Already Laura, go home with Ken and leave your vehicle here.” Exciting Dance.

Ken picked up Laura's bags and belongings and walked while embracing Laura all the way to the car. In the car, Laura remained silent and said nothing, looking from her exhausted body and pale face.

“Lau.. Don't go to work tomorrow if you're not ready. I can't accompany you to leave tomorrow, so it's better to rest.” Ken Exclamations.

“Why Ken?” Ask Laura.

“I have to go home, I have something to tell papa about our relationship Lau” replied Ken.

“Do I have to stay overnight and accompany you?” Ask Ken

“Not need Ken, I'm just exhausted, enough rest will restore my condition, jagan too worried.” Answer Laura.

“Lau is it true you are just exhausted?” Ask Ken.

“Now is my periods Ken, I'm not pregnant. Calm down.” Laura Excited.

As if she could read her mind, Laura guessed the intent of Ken's question at the time, thinking she was pregnant. Ken hopes Laura really only needs a break, because tomorrow she can't be by Laura's side when Laura needs her help.
