CHAPTER 65 | Divorce Trial

A minor dispute between Ken and Laura makes their relationship even more intense and trusting of each other. Ken doesn't want the relationship to be a mess just because of misunderstandings as well as Laura who keeps trying to be honest with Ken no matter what.

Today was the day Meli and Reno attended their divorce hearing, I came and left Mira to mama because I could not take my son to a trial that was not intended for toddlers. I walked over and I saw Meli sitting alone before entering the courtroom.

“Why not enter?”, how come I approached Meli.

“I can't believe I ended up doing this Rein” Meli said as she looked at me.

I never expected that Meli's marriage would end soon. Can Meli go through this on her own? Can Meli overcome every difficulty that exists when she only lives alone with Raka?. And who will he rely on later? That's what's on my mind right now. I hugged Meli for a moment and took her inside.

The trial was only attended by Meli's in-laws, Reno's mistress, me and some of Reno's close friends. My eyes were fixed on one of the men sitting in the corner, I approached him and sat down beside him.

“You also attended this trial Ken?”, I asked while sitting next to him.

“Kak Rein's. Yes I came to see Laura”, replied Ken.

The trial began. The judge tries to reconcile Meli and Reno for the last time but the entire evidence is too strong and Meli no longer wants her relationship with Reno to continue. Reno was very surprised to see all the evidence brought by Meli.

“Where did you get all that evidence?”, asked Reno in panic

“It doesn't matter from where I get all the evidence it”, Meli answered ketus.

Reno looked towards the great lawyer he had hired so expensively but the results were terrible. He clasped his hand tightly and approached his lawyer with an angry look on his face.

“Do something. I paid you a lot of money and don't make me lose this trial. I have to get custody of my son Raka”, he said, whispering in annoyance.

The trial went on for quite a while, almost four hours of trial proceedings took place, I saw Meli was very calm in dealing with all the situations in the trial and I just saw the greatness of Laura in defending her client so great and extraordinary. Another case with Reno who looks very panicked because he will lose this trial because the evidence presented by Meli is so strong that Reno and her lawyer can not be evasive anymore.

“Alright, in this trial we decided that custody of ananda Raka will be given entirely to his mother, Meli and oblige Reno as his father to continue to support Rakak”, the judge ruled.

Dookk... The doookk... Doookk.

Hearing the judge's decision, Meli was very happy and hugged Laura who was next to her, I came over to Meli and hugged her. I also felt the happiness felt by Meli at that time. The struggle to get to this point is not easy, Meli must throw away her love for Reno and strengthen her heart to run the difficult choices she made alone.

“Happy Meli. Finally everything finished”, I hugged Meli

Amidst the happiness felt by Meli, Reno came to Meli with her anger because she did not accept the judge's decision stating that custody of Raka fell into the hands of Meli and not her. Reno pushed me hard enough to get as close to Meli as possible.

“Kak Ren's. Brother okay?”. Tanya Ken looked at my wrists that were flushed from being hit by a chair

I nodded and held back Ken's steps like he wanted to beat up Reno for clenching his hands. I couldn't hold Ken in one hand because my other hand hurt so much that Laura intervened and held her lover.

“Listen to me Meli, maybe you won this trial. But I make sure I will destroy your life and I take Raka from you bitch”, he said threatening Meli.

“Do it if you can. Destroy me if you can. But before that happens, I'll make sure you and your affair will be destroyed under my feet, you son of a bitch”. Meli replies cursing as she points towards Kinan, Reno's mistress

“Please Meli, now everything is done. Reno will never be able to touch you or Raka again”, I said.

In the end it's all over. Meli has packed all her remaining belongings in Reno's house and immediately goes to her house where she hid Raka so as not to be known by Reno. Ken and Laura spent the day communicating better after almost three months without seeing each other.

“Can you breathe a sigh of relief at the moment Lua?”, asked Ken while driving.

“I felt better when I managed to win the case I handled”, Laura replied.

“I have reserved one restaurant that is quiet enough for us to talk. I want to hear everything from you right now Lau” too. Ken said, holding Laura's hand and kissing her.

They had arrived at a restaurant and they both spent very little of their remaining time focusing on their relationship. A very deep longing for not meeting for a long time in the end paid off.

“I didn't think you were so great in Lau's court. You look very firm, beautiful and sexy”, said Ken praising Laura and opening the conversation.

“Stop your jokes Ken. What about the company you lead?”, asked Laura

“Good only. Have you ever heard of PT Gloria Persada?”. Ken asked as he sliced the danging on his plate.

“Hmm.. Isn't that one of the biggest Fisheries PT?”, replied Laura

“I managed to establish cooperation with PT Gloria Persada and will launch products in a few months”, replied Ken.

Laura turned her eyes in shock at what Ken had said. PT Gloria Persada is one of the largest and very slit for the company to establish a cooperation with that PT.

“My love is really great”, he said astonished.

“Then how about you Lau? can you tell me who that guy is that night coming to you?”, asked Ken

“Ah. That guy, I never told you. He is Robert, my cousin who is getting married next week and I was asked to help him and his future wife take care of their wedding matters because of their very solid work.

“You misunderstood Ken. I never thought about betraying you. Trust me”, Laura assured Ken

Ken understands and believes in Laura. Shortly after they finished their meal, Ken invited Laura to walk to the garden area of the restaurant which had been decorated with sparkling lights that were very beautiful. Ken's planning to propose to Laura tonight and has Laura in full. While Luara was enjoying the beautiful atmosphere that was very romantic, Ken had knelt behind Laura with the ring he held.

“Laura”, call it.

Laura turned her head back and she saw Ken kneeling down and pointing the ring at her. Laura could not believe what she saw, her heart was so happy and she even cried to see Ken finally proposing to her at this time.

“I don’t wanna be your boyfriend anymore. Laura Evelyn, will you marry me”. Ken knelt down and proposed to Laura

Laura covered her face for being too happy while crying. His wait has been so sweet, now his lover proposed to him after long enough he waited for Ken. Laura nodded her head and Ken hugged Laura tightly.

The feelings of haru and happiness they both feel remember their struggle to continue together with all sorts of trials that hit their love relationship until finally Ken and Laura are at this point.

Ken paired the ring on Laura's ring finger and kissed her forehead with affection, he also wiped away the tears that flooded Laura's face and brought her face closer to Luara. Closer to their faces Ken finally kisses Laura's lips gently, which leads to a hot kiss.

“Thank you for waiting for me and continue to trust me this useless Lau. I love you”. Ken then kissed Laura.
