The house will always feel crowded and come alive when there is the presence of a child in it and this time it is the same, since Grace was born in the world, there is no day without crying a baby fills the house that makes me and Sam always ready for morning and night to take care of their child. Counting two weeks since we had our second child, the fatigue and drowsiness we experienced when we had Mira who was still a baby recurred.
“Give Grace to me and rest for a while Rein”, said Sam who realized I was exhausted.
“What, I can rest for a while longer” I replied as I continued to hold Grace until she fell asleep.
“Why not entrust Grace completely to Rein's nanny? You will be very tired”, said Sam worried.
“This is my son Sam, I should have taken care of him, a nanny just made it easier for me to take care of Grace”, I replied
“Then let me hold him and you go get an hour or two of rest because he is also my son”. Sam replied while trying to take Grace from my arms
“Wait okay? You just came home a few hours ago and must have been very tired”, I said looking at Sam
“I will not be tired if it concerns my son, go rest”, Sam told me.
I smiled and nodded to see how much he cared for me and was very understanding of me. I got into bed and tried to sleep while Sam kept guarding while holding Grace until she fell asleep. Sam always managed to make me comfortable with all his practices to me, he never complained even though he had to take turns to look after the little baby I gave birth and give me a break even if only for a moment.
“Have you slept Grace?”, she said gently while smiling at the child she was holding.
Slowly Sam put Grace on her bed that was right next to me. After making sure that Grace was really asleep, she threw herself down and fell asleep. Sam's loud snoring woke my sleep. I slowly opened my eyes and I saw Sam's tired face that was very clear.
“Thank you for always being there for me”, I said and gently peeked at her cheek
Thanks to it, I can rest well. Every day we wake up with black and enlarged eye bags, the role of a mother is very difficult to do. Without Sam's immense support, maybe I can't do it alone.
I wake up as usual and prepare breakfast and also supplies for my husband and my son even though I have a housekeeper but as much as possible I take care of myself specifically for my husband and children.
“Morning Rein”, greet Sam and hug me from behind
“Sleep longer, you still look very tired”, I said to Sam
“I woke up because I felt you were not beside me”, he replied spoiledly.
“Then help me by waking up Mira and having her take a Sam” bath, I said as I pinched her cheek
With the little kiss he gave me, Sam went and did what I told him to do, and I kept cooking for breakfast and stocking them. After all the cooking was ready, I took it to the dinner table and I saw Sam sitting waiting for me while playing his cell phone.
“You didn't shower?”, I asked while arranging food
“Hmm, I will prepare”, I replied.
“No need Rein, I'll be in a meeting and it looks like I'm home late. You okay with Grace alone?”, asked Sam looking at me.
“I'm fine. Do your duty”, I replied gently.
“Mama..” Call Mira
“Come baby. Quickly eat and mom will soon deliver you to school”, I told Mira.
I always try to give my best for my family and force myself completely for them, I admit it is quite heavy for me because I also have to divide my time for the little baby I just gave birth to. I wanted to do everything myself and without any help from strangers but in fact I couldn't and had to use someone else to help me in taking care of baby Grace.
“Do you need help from mom? I can ask him to come with you”, said Sam
“Not necessary, pity mom. She's not young anymore, she's tired. Let me visit my mom once in a while with Grace and Mira”, I said softly
“Mama, can Mira bring more supplies?”, asked Mira
“What's the matter, baby? Is your supply lacking?”, ask me
“No mama, it's just that sometimes Raka a few days ago looked moody and never ate at school”, Mira told me what she saw
I looked towards Mira while furrowing my brows. Between believing and disbelieving because Mira was a child, her words could have been true or just her thoughts. I was thinking maybe Raka was like this because Meli was taking care of her sick in-laws so Raka was a little lonely.
“Alright, mama will bring more supplies for Raka. Give it at rest ya”, I replied stroking Mira's hair.
After breakfast, I drive Mira to school and I leave Grace to the nanny at home while Sam prepares to leave for the office. On the way I keep thinking about Meli, do not – do not Meli is going through a bad thing to impact on Raka. After I delivered Mira to the entrance of the school and I saw Meli coming with Raka. As Mira said that Raka looks moody today.
“Is Meli in trouble? He even immediately rushed when lowering Raka to the door of school”, I muttered in my heart
“You're fine Raka?”, I asked to say hello
“Ia aunt”, replied Raka then entered leaving me
I really felt that something had happened to Meli, after thinking enough that I realized that I had left Mira long enough and immediately rushed home. On the way I was more curious about Meli's condition, I tried to contact her but she did not pick it up until I finally tried to no longer think about it.
“Y.. Maybe he was busy taking care of his in-laws. Relax Rein, nothing happened to Meli”, I said trying to calm down.
