Chapter 81 | Fall of the Barrier Wall

" So what made you take me to dinner?" asked Sam.

Sam sits face to face with Ken at a restaurant that Ken has reserved before. Putting down his phone, Sam stared at his sister who looked like there was no passion to live his life like before.

"Ck ck ... You look so pathetic. Tell me what's up? I can't bear to see you like this" said Sam, shaking his head in wait for his brother who never spoke

" Sister had a fight with Rein's sister, right? How did you guys finish it?" Is talking enough?", asked Ken

"Depends on the problem. What problem are you having with Laura?", asked Sam while cutting meat on his plate

" I don't know, I don't understand it. The more days he demands from me. I tried to make her happy, to give her a decent life. But for him it was like I was not doing my best as a husband. And we even silenced each other" Ken explained to Sam.

Sam listened to Ken's explanation while chewing his food and occasionally looked at his sister who had a matted face.

"It's just right that Laura behaves that way. I understand his feelings" Sam said after listening to Sam's story

Ken frowned and looked at Sam in disbelief at the words of his brother who understood his brother-in-law better than his own brother. Ken's face turned worse than before.

"Don't understand and understand Laura but not me? That's right" said Ken annoyed

" I understand Laura because I understand very well how Ken is behaving. Try to reflect on where this problem occurred at first" said Sam trying to help his sister.

Ken was silent and pensive, he did as his brother said. He began to think about what made Laura like this and caused quite a big problem. Sam sees his confused sister looking for answers in his heart that he never got.

"Do you want to help? Tell me what you've done for Laura" Sam said

"I've had enough of him, I've given the best of myself to him, he doesn't even lack one. I love her, isn't that enough?" Ken tried to mention it

"Listen Ken. In life we will experience two things, joy and sorrow. You gave everything to Laura, you gave her happiness then did you also share your suffering as well?" Said Sam trying to resuscitate his sister

"Have you not been like that to Laura all this time? Good at dating until after you get married. You give Laura happiness yet you hoard your grief all by yourself. Marriage doesn't go that way. You both live in joy and sorrow together" Sam told Ken.

Once again Ken lowered his head and tried to wipe away his tears that were slowly starting to come out. Ken realized it and he did not deny that all this time Ken endured his grief and pain alone. But he has a purpose in it.

"What did I do wrong? When I only make the woman I love happy and don't want to make her feel sad about the hardships I've been through, is that wrong?" Ken said

" no. That's not wrong. You even look like a real man when you don't let your woman cry. You cannot face this life alone. Let Laura take on her role and give you Ken's powers. Because that's a woman's job" Sam advised Ken.

In the end Ken realized how stupid he had been all this time, he did not realize that all this time that made him strong and could survive until he was able to achieve his dream was with Laura. The fear in his heart was so strong that he built a very large barrier so that Laura did not enter it and accompany the suffering that he had been enduring.

"How should I fix it, brother? Where should I start?", asked Ken, holding back his tears.

" Start with yourself. Set yourself up and break that barrier. Don't fix it by yourself, take your wife with you. Let him feel your pain too. Let him hug and give you a new spirit" Sam suggested.

It was late, the two brothers went home. The day Ken went through was quite heavy these days but because of Sam and also the advice of his brother, Ken chose to change for his wife and future children later. He realized the fear in him was huge.

Ken's heart was pounding quite fast when he reached his apartment door. Ken stood at the door long enough, not knowing what he was thinking. When the door was opened he looked at Laura who was walking around like she was waiting for him while crying.

Seeing her husband coming, Laura walked over to Ken and hugged him while crying. Her tears flowed and her crying never stopped. Ken returned Laura's embrace and hugged her tighter as if he didn't want to let go.

"I love you Ken, I'm sorry for always suing you so much that you feel uncomfortable. I won't do it again" Laura said in tears

"Don't. You deserve me. I shouldn't have restricted you like this. I'm wrong Lau, I just don't want you to feel the sadness and suffering I'm going through. Forgive me for always hiding your thirst, your anxiety. I really want to make you happy, let me feel the difficulty" Ke told Laura.

Slowly the solid wall built by Ken collapsed. He no longer restricted Laura from being sad with him, he no longer restricted her from being around him when she had difficulties.
