CHAPTER 21 - The Secret Actually Revealed

He stretched out his hand to open the refrigerator door. Suddenly, James was behind him and stopped Vanya's hand trying to open the refrigerator door.

James is washing dishes. He also told Vanya to stay on the dining table chair and told him not to make him wash the dirty dishes. He occasionally looked at the dining table and saw Vanya sitting there sweetly.

"Why can't I open it?" vanya asked as she looked at James sharply.

"It . . . You will be frightened if you find out the contents later," James said nervously as he released his hand.

"Say! What secrets are you hiding! I can still be patient if I don't see much blood here" Vanya shouted furiously.

"I ...." James did not dare to tell her the true secret.

"Why did I forget to warn him not to come to this area. Now I have to start where to explain everything. Though our relationship was closer, but now it's like this" James grumbled in his heart.

Vanya just looked at James seriously without speaking a word. He was still waiting for the answer that James would give. James was seen getting ready to speak, "Haah! All right I'll say all I can" James said with a deep sigh.

Then, James suddenly raised his right hand. Vanya who saw the behavior of James was confused by what he was doing. Suddenly, a large bookcase in the room moved and showed its back.

Vanya also looked towards the large shelf that suddenly moved. Then, he was made to be surprised by something that was plastered behind a large shelf. Plastered behind the large shelf is a painting "Merman" whose face is painted very similar to James. Then, Vanya looked at James with a look of disbelief.

"That's the real me. A very terrible monster. It has fish legs, fin-eared, whole body like a fish, and has very long nails for clawing prey. Then, this blood that was scattered about was the blood from the human heart that I gathered. I gathered a thousand human hearts in order to become a whole human being" James said, looking at his painting and not daring to look at Vanya's face, who was staring at him.

Vanya tried not to believe the words James had said. However, that was the true reality of the handsome man who was in front of him now. "Huh! So, is it true that painting is you? Then, what's inside that fridge is a human heart?" ask Vanya who still does not believe.

"Yes that's me. Are you really afraid of me now?" James asked back to Vanya while looking at her seriously.

"That . . is a very surprising thing. I don't know what to say now. I just want to calm myself down first and go home," Vanya replied as she lowered her head and dared not look back at James.

Then, James approached Vanya and tried to hold her hand. However, Vanya dodged and took a few steps back from him. Vanya was still speechless and could not believe what she saw now. He is now dissolved in his own thinking.

"Haah . . . I understand. Even now you are very afraid to get close to me," James said softly.

"I . . asked for a week to calm down first. I'll give you an answer after a week has passed" Vanya said, bowing her head.

"Haah . . . okay. I appreciate your opinion. I'm really sorry for scaring you and lying to you" James said, staring at Vanya, who looked at him.

"I'll excuse you. I want to go home now" said Vanya as she walked towards the door.

"I can go home by myself!" vanya said briefly without turning around to see James who was talking to him.

Later, Vanya leaves James' house in a hurry. James did not dare to chase after him because he knew that at this time Vanya was reluctant to be approached by him. Suddenly, someone came into the room.

"James, who's that woman? He hit me because he was walking in a hurry. Keep him playing as long as he goes without apologizing," grumbled a tall man with glasses.

James was still pensive at the door, looking at Vanya who had left his house. He did not expect that his secret would be known so soon. James was silent and did not answer the question of a bespectacled man who came to the room.

"Wooy!" the man with glasses shouted beside James' ear.

"My voice is still good. You don't have to scream like that near my ears" James said.

"Hey! Oye! Don't express it like that. There is actually a ...." The bespectacled man stopped his words because he was aware of the current situation.

"Eh? Is that woman the one you like? Then he accidentally entered this room and found out all your secrets! Then, he left in a hurry because he was angry at you for lying to him." The bespectacled man was second-guessing the situation that had happened just now.

He asked for a week to calm himself down and after that I could meet him again. However, I think it's too long" James said with a somewhat sad face.
