CHAPTER 22 - Feeling Lonely
It was a hot day in San Diego. James was staring at his phone in his office. Apparently, he was waiting for a message from Vanya. He had not seen her for two days, but she had missed him so much.
"Heah .... Will he accept me as I am? I don't want to part with him in this short amount of time" James said softly.
Tok tok!
Suddenly, someone knocked on the door of his study. James then let him in. That person was Jasmine. A beautiful woman who had suddenly entered his room without permission the other day.
"Good day, Brother James!" greet Jasmine while smiling at James.
"Would you like to come here?" James did not return his greetings and immediately asked what he meant by his arrival.
Jasmine sits in a chair in front of James' desk. He then teased James by sitting down while covering his hands on James' desk and showing his large chest. James then acted coldly at Jasmine's behavior trying to tease him. She is not interested in him at all, although in the view of others Jasmine is a very beautiful woman.
"Sir James .... Did you have time this afternoon to eat with Jasmine?" ask Jasmine.
"My schedule today is very busy. You better just go home!" james replied with a joke.
"If Big Brother is busy, why did I notice that Brother always sees Brother's phone?" ask Jasmine again.
James only looked at Jasmine coldly in response to her question. He then took out a document that was piled up on his desk. Then, he read them one by one.
"Sister! Come on, let's have lunch. Once I was, yes," pinta Jasmine forced.
"I'm not having an appetite. You'd better have your own lunch" James said as he read the documents in his hand.
"Relse .... Why does big sister always act to Jasmine like this, anyway?" jasmine asked sulking.
"Huh! I can still be patient because I have considered you as my own sister like your sister Selena. I hope you know your position and don't cross the line!" snapped James while looking at Jasmine sharply.
"Curtain! Want to be Selena or Jasmine, she's always been like this to me. What mantra the village woman actually gave until James really liked her. Wanting to teach her a lesson, James always came to her aid" Jasmine grumbled in her heart.
"Sister! Let's go ...." Before Jasmine continued, someone came knocking on James's door. The man turns out to be Tomi who is the Chief Secretary in James' office. He entered James's office. He was suddenly surprised to see Jasmine in the room.
"Eh? Miss Jasmine? Why are you here?" ask Tomi while watching Jasmine.
"He took me to lunch, but I still have a lot of work. You'd better go" James said suddenly.
"Hoo! Let's Miss Jasmine! We had lunch at the cafe that was near the company only," Tomi asked kindly.
"Gee! I'll go home first, brother. I still have a commercial set up later in the afternoon" Jasmine said as she left James' office.

"Haha! He's still after you and he's not giving up" Tomi teased James.
"Let it. Later he will give up on his own" said James while reading the documents in his hand.
"I think . . .he will attack the woman you like because you don't return her love" Tomi said suddenly.
James suddenly remembered some bad incidents that had happened to Vanya in recent days. He thought the brain of the bad incident was Jasmine. However, he still guessed.
"Has the CCTV footage I asked you to investigate done? If so, give me the report!" james' orders to Tomi.
"I came here to give you the report. Well, you can read the contents yourself," said Tomi while giving a document to James.
James read the document. He read it very carefully without missing a single page. Then, he suddenly hit his desk.
Brak!
"Eh? What was? Why are you angry like that?" ask Tomi who is surprised.
"Calm down, James! I have a reason why I can't investigate the license plate of his car. Turns out the license plate is a special car plate that is very difficult to investigate" Tomi said frankly.
"Huh! Can't you get our people to hack the data?" james asked with a sigh to calm himself down.
"Isn't that against the law? I don't want us to be investigated by the police for hacking into a government-owned security site" Tomi said.
"Huh! Also true. Then, are there any particular features of the person who was told to terrorize Vanya?" ask James again.
"Nothing! He always uses a mask and sunglasses and black clothes that are sold in the market when doing the action. It is very difficult to recognize it. Have you never fought with him? Maybe you can remember some of his features," Tomi asked James.
"I've fought with him before. However, I did not find any special features on her as she covered her face using a mask like the one you were talking about just now. Eh? Wait up! I seem to remember something" James said, draping his hands under his chin.
"Whatis that? Let's tell!" tomi exclaimed enthusiastically.
"I remember she had a birthmark on her wrist. However, it seems that it will be difficult to recognize it from the special features in the body area of the part because it can be easily covered," said James.
"Yes, stop. Let's get our guy to tighten up his house and follow him wherever he goes" Tomi suggested.
"Alright, just like that," James replied briefly.

His face now looks gloomy. James is still waiting for the certainty of Vanya's answer. Tomi as his best friend James felt very sorry to see him. Previously, James had never once behaved as he does today, even when he heard the news of Selena's death.
"Just two days, be patient. He also needs time to be alone first" said Tomi who intended to entertain James. However, the look on his face even more moody than before.
"Hey, Mr. CEO! Look at the work piled up on your desk! Quickly finish! Don't just think about women! Let's go work! Don't be lazy!" scream Tomi rule James.
James looked towards Tomi. He looked at her with a cold look. Tomi suddenly hit the documents piled up on her desk.
"Work, yeah! Don't even look at me like that! Your employees here need a salary. So, do not let this company go bankrupt because you do not want to work because you are heartbroken," exclaimed Tomi giving advice to his best friend.
"Huh! All righty! I'm going to work" James replied uninspiredly.
