My Husband's Second Love

My Husband's Second Love
Episode 54

Sekar POVs

Dark clouds hang in the horizon. The wind made my eardrum shake even harder and my skin became paler than usual. Even the thick purple coat I was wearing was unable to protect my bones that were bitten by the cold air.

My steps stopped in front of a building. A door with a white aluminum frame with glass in the middle was plastered in front of me. The face on the reflection of the glass showed a widened body with a protruding belly like laughing at me without a sound. I hate the shadow of the person there.

The sound of the door creaking accompanied my steps into the still quiet room. Warm Eve greeted my cheeks, surely now the color is brighter than it was that accentuated the pale white tinge on my face.

A nurse in a knee-length white uniform asked me to sign up. The special promise I made was not so influential, I was still asked to take the queue number.

"His husband doesn't come with you?" I thought the question was just to maintain politeness, but I changed my mind as he continued, "usually a father-to-be won't let his wife check herself if her gestational age is nearing birth," i smile—cinis.

"His father went to see his sister-to-be" I replied.

The face of the nurse who was now sitting in front of me showed astonishment. I left him—who is probably now wondering, heading for a waiting chair.

His chair is quite comfortable for this not-so-famous specialist practice size. But I don't know if I have to wait for the snaking queue.

"Do I have to wait a long time?" my many.

The nurse opened a notebook, "if I see an appointment I've recorded it shouldn't be."

"Oh," well, I hope today's business is over.

This practice room looked gloomy, while the lights lit up brightly. Something stuck in my heart, a sense of tightness that lately made me almost desperate. As I tried to muster up the courage to give up all my dreams, I was disappointed with my husband's disregard for me.

Nehan Nawang Nugroho, my only fault is falling in love with her. Ms. Rumi was right, I failed to control my feelings. If the weak man recognizes my existence as a whole—not just a body but also a heart, I will follow whatever he wants.

It turned out that I was wrong, and I just realized that I was never in his heart. He's like the shadow of Rumi's mother. As soon as Mbak Rumi left, he too often disappeared.

Maybe he had some business abroad a few times, but the rest? I don't know...

He went and came as he pleased, venting the desire if he wanted to then disappear and did not care about me who was waiting for news from him.

This time I want to repay her treatment, I will make her regret treating me like this.

My daydream faded when a white-haired half-old man entered the room. He walked quickly into the examination room, typical of a doctor who had to work fast every day.

"Mrs Sekar, please come in, it happens that the doctor's schedule is loose so it can come early."

I nodded, gave a slight smile and immediately entered the check room. The nurse followed me from behind.

"I want a scheduled surgery" I said as soon as I sat down for a check-up.

"New patient?" ask doctor.

"Yes, I'm here for the first time, doctor...Ridwan?!" I answered a little hesitantly, worried about the wrong name.

A lot of things I talked about, with a little fabricating the story that my husband worked abroad and slipped some other lies, we finally agreed to schedule a cesarean section to give birth. On condition that I have to check regularly until the specified day.

"Indeed so the behavior of men, if you meet other women who are sexier and younger must forget his wife."

"Well.that's how."

"Therefore I hesitate to get married, the evidence is like this mother, pregnant old even left to see a young wife who is also pregnant."

It turned out that my story was able to make people sympathize, even though it was just a big lie, I was forced to do it.

"Suster...mmm?"

"Eny..sister Eny," replied the nurse doctor who continued to babble because he ate my story.

"May I ask for a business card, I'd like to talk to you one day about something."

"Can."

Sister Eny handed me a piece of business card. I smiled and nodded in disrespect. This will be the beginning of the plan.

"Why don't you wait for my arrival before burying our son?" Mas Han had calmed down after crying hysterically when I said his son died.

"I can't bear to make such a small baby wait too long Mas, pity."

"But I want to meet my son Sekar."

"I'm sorry, man" enjoy your guilt.

"What kind of father am I," Mas Han hit his head many times, "even the father and mother still had time to see my son even though for a while, but I...?!"

"I'm sorry mas" I put on as sad a voice as possible.

"I'm the one who should be apologizing to you and our son Sekar."

"Lately I've been too busy taking care of a lot of things that make me ignore you and our son."

"I can't imagine that Rumi heard the baby she used to expect her presence to die.., I'm sorry Rum.." whispered Mas Han pilu.

Even in times like this, times where you should be mourning with me and not thinking about anything else, Rumi was still in your head.

"Why did you change the family doctor where you usually check Sekar?"

"I just want to find a more comfortable place. Not too long waiting in line, because you've been busy lately."

"I don't want to bother you with my unimportant problems."

"Don't talk like that, you're important to me, the child you bear is very important to me."

Huh! another on the other lip in the heart, if it really matters why you leave me so often.

"I'm just too busy with work. The development of my business took up all my time and energy."

Did ya?

"Tonight you'll be here right? I don't want to be alone in a hospital room like this, accompany me yes," I hugged my husband tightly, you should feel guilty.

"Of course, I won't leave you."

"I'll move you to the VVIP treatment room, I'll stay a while to take care of the administration."

"Don't leave me, mas" I hugged Mas Han's waist, "I don't need the VVIP room, just here just don't leave me," I put my head on his back.

Mas Han turned around, sat back down and faced me, "sleep."

His hand grabbed my shoulder and helped me stretch out, "forgive me, yes" he was lying on my side. We hugged each other tightly. You're mine tonight mas, only mine.

Epilogues

Mas Han rushed to open the door of the room where I was treated.

"What the hell is this, what happened Sekar?!" my shoulder was shaken violently by Mas Han.

The father standing in one corner of the room ran over, "Han, take your hands off!" shouted the angry father saw the attitude of Mas Han.

"Don't hurt Sekar, he's as sad as you are" he shouted.

Mother just silently lowered her head in the patient's waiting chair without expression, sadness clearly visible on her face.

"Who gave you permission to perform the operation huh!!" yell Mas Han at me again.

I calmly replied, "that's because you're not here for me and my son, so who do you think should give consent?!" my eyes were sharp with a glance at Mas Han.
