CHAPTER XXXVIII

It was the day that the wedding reception of Rafael and Delia was held. A pair of beautiful and handsome brides entered the reception hall in designer clothes. Both of them smiled widely in front of the hundreds or even thousands of invited guests who crowded the hall.

"Oh my God, Raf, it's like there's a concert. Why it's so dense" whispered Delia.

Rafael grinned, "the fire and mama really aren't messing around dear. They invited all the acquaintances. So this is how it is."

"Well, when is this show done?"

"Maybe seven days and seven nights."

Instantly Delia pinched her husband's waist making Rafael chuckle.

"Patience, this is our happiness Delia. We will remember this event for life" Rafael said.

Delia nodded her head. Rafael also invited his wife to greet his business colleagues. Once in a while Delia saw her father and mother joking with her in-laws. They look very happy at the moment.

With pride, Rafael introduces his beautiful wife to the guests. None of them could take their eyes off the bride.

"I hate to see the eyes of those who can't be separated from you. Why are you so beautiful today dear," whispered Rafael.

Delia smiled, "didn't you introduce me to them. Stop being jealous, sir."

"I'm not jealous, just upset."

"What difference?"

Rafael let out a long sigh, "Delia, I love you."

Rafael's words suddenly made Delia very surprised. The woman did not return her husband's confession.

"Delia, I want to spend the night until morning. I want to keep trying to get..."

Delia pinched Rafael's waist again, but this time it was stronger than before. Rafael grimaced in pain as he chuckled in amusement.

"Stop thinking dirty, perverted master," said Delia.

"I can't wait to go back to the house baby, I want to pull my bride into bed" whispered Rafael again.

This time Delia stepped on her husband's feet to be quiet.

"It's called domestic violence" said Rafael.

"You deserve it. You keep embarrassing me, Raf."

Rafael chuckled, "your face is blushing right now, aren't you also enjoying my every touch," his god.

"Oh my God, Rafael Widjaja... I'm really lazy to get close to you" Delia said as she removed her hand from Rafael's arm.

As soon as Rafael holds him, "if you dare to leave me, I will do so in front of the invited guests" he threatened.

Delia was wide-eyed, she wanted to reply to Rafael again, but there were invited guests who approached them to congratulate her on her marriage. Delia held her tongue, only Delia's sharp gaze finally made Rafael speechless.

Invitational guests are relentless to turn to approach them. Delia began to complain of being tired. His legs began to hurt because of the day using high heels.

"I want to get out of here" said Delia.

Rafael looked at his wife who was really tired, the man also saw the footwork of Delia.

"Wait a minute here baby, I'll be right back" Rafael said.

"Where are you going?"

"Please wait a minute" replied Rafael as he left Delia.

Delia noticed Rafael, her husband completely leaving the reception hall making Delia surprised.

"I want to run away, why did he go first? Why did he leave me alone?" delia was confused.

A few invited guests approached him making Delia spread her thoughts. But not so long Rafael actually went back into the hall again. The man smiled broadly as he approached Delia.

Delia was surprised when she saw Rafael carrying a pair of beautiful sandals but not high. The man immediately crouched down in front of Delia while helping his wife remove her high heels and replace them with sandals that he brought. The scene certainly made the guests shocked and envious to see their romance.

"Raf..."

Rafael raised his head, "I knew your legs would hurt. So I've prepared it, sorry I left you just a minute to get it."

Delia actually shed her tears, she did not expect Rafael to pay so much attention to her. Rafael stood back up after finishing helping his wife, the man instantly wiped away Delia's tears.

"Why are you crying?" ask Rafael.

"You make me happy, thank you for being present in my life" Delia replied.

As Rafael hugged Delia, suddenly the guests clapped and cheered at their affection. Delia immediately buried her face right in Rafael's chest making the man laugh.

"So, am I allowed to spend this night with you until morning" said Rafael.

Sontak Delia hit her husband's chest spoiled making Rafael increasingly tighten his embrace.

"Are your feet comfortable now?" rafael asked as he let go of his embrace.

Delia nodded her head.

Delia nodded her head again, they patiently finished the reception until the invited guests left them one by one.

Delia returned to see her parents with the Widjaja family, she recalled returning to Lampung two days ago and picking up both parents and her extended family.

The Flash Back On.

"Mother... dad...!!!" delia shouted as she reached her house.

Delia immediately hugged her parents because she missed them so much.

"Oh my God, I miss you, son" said Emili as she hugged Delia and Rafael alternately.

"I miss you too, you're healthy right?" ask Delia.

Both of his parents nodded.

"Are we really going back to Jakarta? The reception will be held with the Widjaja family, then can we attend?" ask Derry worried.

"Of course well, and Rafael's family would like to see you guys before the reception" replied Rafael.

After saying that, Delia's parents finally agreed to it. They and Delia's brother were told to pack up immediately. Just a few hours rest, Rafael immediately invited them to go to Jakarta.

Arriving in Jakarta, Jodhi and 2 other staff who brought 3 cars to pick them up at the airport, immediately drove another Delia brother to the hotel that Rafael had booked. While Delia's parents were immediately taken by Rafael to meet the Widjaja family.

Hartanto and Helena, who had been waiting for their arrival, immediately greeted Delia's parents with warm hugs. Happiness is really visible without any sense of coercion at all. The two families talk to each other and get along quickly, until finally Derry and Emili are not allowed to stay in the hotel. They agreed to Hartanto's request to stay at the mansion.

And now this is where their families are chatting with each other without feeling awkward anymore. Delia returned with tears of happiness.

"Oh my God, if you cry again, I will really have a husband-and-wife relationship in front of them Delia" Rafael threatened.

As Delia grew wide, she immediately wiped away her own tears, "you're crazy Raf."

"I'm crazy, so don't keep on fishing for my madness."

"It's tears of happiness, I didn't expect your family to finally accept a poor family like us."

"Sstttt. I don't like you saying that. Stop humbling yourself, dear."

"Raf... Del.. come here son," call Hartanto.

The two of them immediately approached him to gather with the other family because the invited guests were barely in the hall.

"Go to Bogor tonight. I've prepared a surprise at Villa for your honeymoon" Hartanto said.

"Good pi, we're so tired today. Can we just go on a honeymoon to Japan next week" replied Rafael.

"To Japan is a different thing Raf. Take your wife tonight to our villa. You should enjoy this moment."

Rafael looked at Delia, "honey..."

"Alright, we'll follow Papi's wishes" Delia said.

"Are you sure you're not tired?" ask Rafael.

"They're getting tired" whispered Delia making Rafael grin.

"Okay pi, we're leaving. Thank you for the surprise" Rafael said.

"Well, that's better. The show is over, take a break before you travel. Delia's family business, let papi take care of it."

Rafael and Delia nodded their heads. Both of them immediately say goodbye to rest before leaving for Bogor.

Two hours later...

Not far from the Rafael car looks red sports car driven by Katrina Dowell. At that time Rafael and Delia were getting ready to leave for Bogor. Both are still unaware if there are other cars that keep watching their movements.

Rafael and Delia get into his car, both immediately depart from there and Katrina immediately follows them. Katrina has no idea where Rafael and Delia are going, but she intends to follow both of them to carry out her crazy plan.

Katrina smiled broadly as she knew the two were entering the toll gate.

"It looks like my plan this time will work, God is on my side. I'm gonna kill them, I'm not afraid I'm gonna have to go to jail. At least my sentence will be light because it was an accident. Rafael. If I can't get you, then anyone can't. Go to hell" Katrina thought.

Rafael increased the speed of his car after entering the motorway, as did Katrina Dowell. Rafael overtakes the car in front of him, and that's when Katrina hits Rafael's car from behind. Katrina increased her speed again to exceed the required speed. When there was an opportunity to do so, the woman again stepped on the accelerator uncontrollably.

Ciiiittt.... Braaaackkkk......

The sound of a vehicle crash was heard very loud, the incident surprised other riders until they all stepped on the brakes suddenly. And there was a terrible accident on the highway.
