CHAPTERS. 4 Decision

Brian abandoned his intention to pursue Vera because he saw there were many people in his house and worried that he would be desperate to embarrass himself.

The man chose to go into his room and go straight to the bathroom cleaning himself under the shower.

His eyes closed enjoying the shower water hit his body. He remembers what he did with Shavana last night.

Did he really desecrate the village girl?

But unfortunately he remembers nothing because of heavy drunkenness due to too much drinking made him unconscious with what he had done to Shavana.

"Damn!" he scratched his own hair. He saw on Shavana's neck there was a kiss and it must have been him who made it.

It's really out of his control he can do all that.

Reyhan looked at Brian and Shavana who were sitting in front of him. Shavana bowed her head with her fingers squeezing each other, while Brian looked at his father looking forward to what the middle-aged man was going to say.

In the workspace there are not many people only Reyhan and Larissa who sit in front of their children and nephews and Vera who sits alone on the sofa single.

"Why do you sleep together?"

That was the first question Reyhan asked. He tried to refrain from hitting Brian and chose to hear the explanations of the two men in front of him.

"I'm drunk, Dad."

"Did you desecrate Shavana?"

"I don't know."

Brian's reply instantly made Vera's chest feel tight, as if a large object hit her chest making it difficult to breathe.

Unlike if Brian says if he does not tarnish Shavana then he will try to believe it even though a sense of disappointment envelops his heart.

"Don't you remember what you did to Shavana?" reyhan and Brian asked with a slit.

"Shava, don't you remember what you did?" ask Reyhan to Shavana.

Shavana further lowered her head confessing wrong while Brian turned his gaze to another direction not daring to look at his father.

"Shava's your brother, Brian, he's a two-time cousin to you. Before his father died he left Shava to Daddy to look after him. But you just ruined it" Reyhan said, utterly disappointed in his son.

"You're getting married today, Brian. Look next to you there is already Vera your future wife and down there, in the yard we have many invited guests who come. Now what should Daddy tell them all?"

"Sorry, Dad." Brian lowered his head the thing he had just done.

Reyhan shook his head completely disappointed at his proud son. Brian who always excels in everything both education and business makes him feel lucky to have a son like Brian.

But now for the first time he was disappointed in the man. His son had done a fatal thing, desecrating Shavana who was his nephew.

"Daddy doesn't want to know, you and Shava have to get married" Reyhan said, leaving everyone in the room wide open.

"I can't, Dad, I'm getting married to Vera" Brian denied.

"Shava have you smeared and you will still marry Vera? Where's your brain, Hahh! What if Shava's pregnant?"

Brian flinched hearing his father's words. To be honest he also thought about it but he was going to marry Vera the marriage he had been waiting for.

"Is there no other way but me and Mas Brian to get married?" asked Shavana who had been bowing her head since.

"Would you get pregnant without a husband?" tanya Reyhan makes Shavana flinch. For the first time he saw his anger.

It seems that his uncle was not only disappointed in Brian but also in him.

"No sir" he replied with his head lowered.

"Mas, think again what about Vera if Brian is married to Shavana" Larissa advised her husband.

"Vera, are you going to stay married to Brian after finding out that he's been disfiguring Shavana?" reyhan asked Vera to make everyone look at the girl.

Brian looked at Vera's plea to accept her. But Vera seemed not to see Brian's gaze, he actually threw a word that made Brian disappointed.

Brian's face turned sour. Apparently the love he gave Vera all this time was meaningless just because he made one mistake.

"It sounds to you Brian that Vera doesn't want to accept you anymore" Reyhan told Brian, but the man kept quiet.

"So Daddy's decision was unanimous. Brian is getting married to Shavana today."

After saying that Reyhan got up from his seat and walked out of the room.

Brian looked expectantly at Vera who was still sitting nearby, hoping that the woman would take him back. But again he was disappointed because Vera did not give him a chance.

"Tante, I'd better go home and my family" Vera told Larissa.

Larissa stared at the daughter-in-law but did not. "I'm sorry Brian yes, Vera" he said as he rubbed Vera's back.

"It's okay Auntie, maybe we haven't been a match" said Vera.

"Ver," called Brian hoping the woman would look at him, but Vera ignored him. The woman got up from her seat and walked towards the exit.

"Had Mommy said, last night don't drink but you did, '" Larissa told Brian but the man remained unmoved.

Larissa invites Shavana to come with her for a ride because the girl will replace Vera married to Brian.

Reyhan announced to all the guests at his home that the wedding would take place but the bride was replaced by Shavana.

Not a few people wonder why the bride was replaced. They all assume that each of them is in accordance with what they think.

"I'm very disappointed in your decision to marry Brian to the girl instead of continuing to marry Brian to Vera" said Vera's father.

"Once again I'm sorry, because that's all I can do."

"Fortunately Vera does not want to accept Brian anymore, so I can accept your decision" said Vera's father.

"Thank you for accepting my decision."

Vera's father nodded his head, then took Vera and his wife and the bridesmaids to come home.

The marriage finally began when it was near noon. Shavana and Brian sat side by side with their heads covered in white scarves matching the bridal attire they were wearing.

Brian welcomes the hand of the ruler, then utters a qobul ijab in the name of Shavana in the presence of all who witness it.
