Chapter 57 The Delight of Snakes

Orochimaru looked around the Throne room with new clarity, The world seemed as if it could be placed under a magnifying glass at will. From the dust in the Air to the hair fibers on His Majesty's head, Orochimaru could see everything. However, he was also now able to 'see' the chakra within the shinobi's body and when he focused on the Great chakra the King emitted, he vomited. The pure density, raw volume of chakra was beyond his estimation as well as his comprehension.

The Hidden Darkness had no social class nor was there any discrimination regarding race, gender, religion or even sexual orientation yet there were 13 Clans that stood above the rest. Of the 3 million inhabitants within the Night Kingdom there are 12 Ruler Clans excluding His Highness Zenkichi Clan as well as Itachi and Shisui as the Uchiha Clan will not exist in the Kingdom. After the "12 Greats" there were 50 Main Clans, this clan had members numbering in the tens of thousands, they also had a large number of active military forces. Lastly we had a Small Clan that numbered in the hundreds. Although these clans were "Small", they provided most of the services including active Shinobi to the country.12 Great was known thus because the clan head was Jokyunin directly under the King, their words can influence the King's decisions which in turn can affect the country. Because of this, the citizens of the Kingdom had raised the status of the Top 12 at their own discretion, this was why like the King, Jokyunin had to be very careful with their words or else, he said, jokes can be considered a death sentence.

To this day the "Big 12" had a new addition, the seal in Orochimaru's hand bowed deeply to the King from the threat of death to becoming one of the trusted members of the inner circle. Times have changed.

*In the Cone Country*

At the northernmost tip of the country was a vast area occupied by Chakra beasts, its terrain filled with dangerous Gorge and Ravine. It is located in a gorge so deep that it is known as the "Gate of Hell" by shinobi who are brave enough to venture there, in the murky depths there is a large cave.In the Cave there are two people involved in a heated debate.

"Things haven't gone as we expected, but instead of focusing on it, we have to think of ways to overcome this slump."
