Princess Seraphina
THE CHAPTER 24
Suddenly, Ariel was shocked to hear that. "What?! Seraphina works as a waitress? What the hell is he thinking? How could the strongest princess have to work so hard? Though she has magical powers capable of creating things or asking magical creatures to work on her."
Safy closed the door gently, then headed towards the dining room while tidying up the dirty dishes. "It is not so, Princess Ariel. The way this world works is different from our world. There are rarely monsters, magic, or magical creatures here."
Ariel felt confused and a little doubtful at Safy's words. He decides to prove himself by using his magic power. His eyes closed, letting the fire magic propagate quickly, covering a distance of up to 100 kilometers. However, the result was not as he expected. He only saw magical creatures, with no signs of human existence that possessed magic power. However, as he ventured further, he saw the co-operation between magical beings and humans. However, one person out of the thousands of humans seemed to know of his detection magic. One of them was an old man who was imprisoned in a stone cave in the forest, the old man was also protected by powerful magical creatures. As Ariel tried to deepen further, the old man stared at her sharply. In an instant, his detection magic was stopped by the sword swung by the old man.
“Good, rightly so. There should still be strong people around here, so there's still something to burn.“
Ariel was getting excited to immediately fight, she tried to re-detect the location of the old man. But when her magic begins to be cast, from a distance Seraphina cancels out all magic causing it to return to its owner. Ariel was instantly dizzy after her strength was undone, and she finally did not try to do it again. Now that he was feeling saturated, his head was propped up on the table while looking at Safy washing the dishes.
“Hey, why can't I understand the language in this world? You two seem to be used to it. Tell me.“
Safy replied, “If you want to be able to understand the language, you must learn it first. Just like when I first came here, me and the Princess tried hard to learn.“
Ariel thought for a moment, then asked again, “Learning a foreign language takes years to master, is there no other solution to be able to understand instantly, so?“
"Oh, Princess Ariel. Why not just use magic? With magic, you can instantly understand a foreign language." After saying so, Safy proceeded to the living room to watch the tv. It just so happens that his favorite show has started, which is a cartoon of cat and mouse.
With Safy's proposal, Ariel realizes that her magic can help her understand language. He calls the spirit of knowledge. The entity appeared in the form of an old geezer with a cane and noble clothes. Ariel gave the order that the spirit give him knowledge of language. In an instant, the blessing of knowledge was given through the grandfather's wand. After receiving that blessing, the spirit of knowledge disappeared. Ariel tried the effect by reading the writing on the snack wrapper. What was previously incomprehensible, now can be understood easily. Ariel was relieved that she was finally able to understand the language in this world.
However, in the living room, Safy was laughing at the cat and mouse impressions on television. Ariel approached and asked, "What are you watching, Safy?"
Safy turned his head, "Oh, I'm watching a favorite show. We usually watch this together. Want to watch, Princess Ariel?"
Ariel agreed to the offer, then she sat down on the sofa. Enthusiastically watched the show on tv. In just a moment, the two of them laughed together to see the hilarious behavior of the cat and mouse.
Until the time has begun towards the afternoon, Safy immediately prepare warm water for Seraphina. Meanwhile, Ariel was sound asleep in her room. The sensation of his first sleep on a soft mattress, even more comfortable than the one in the palace, quickly brought him to sleep. The warmth of the room and the comfort of a modern mattress create an irreplaceable pleasure as he lies down.
At 4 p.m., Seraphina arrived home. The sound of the gate rang out loud moving, and Safy immediately descended downstairs to open the front door.
“Welcome back, Princess. The warm water has been prepared, and if there is any other need, please let me know" Safy said politely.
“Understand, Mr. Princess“
Safy heads for the kitchen, while Seraphina goes to the bathroom. There, the warm water in the bathtub was perfectly prepared. All necessary toiletries, such as soap, toothbrush, toothpaste, shampoo, foam, and even rubber ducks, are available.
“Huh? Rubber duck? I prefer the bear. But never mind," muttered Seraphina as she continued her bath.
Ariel woke up from her sleep hearing a loud noise downstairs. He rubbed his eyes and saw that the clock was showing at 4 p.m.
“Kruuuk!“
His stomach was ringing loudly from hunger. “Ah, it's afternoon. I hungry. Looks like I should check out what Safy's cooking today."
Ariel got out of bed and went straight to the kitchen. There, Safy was brewing tea in a teapot.
“Safy, what are you cooking tonight? I feel really hungry" Ariel said, holding her stomach.
“Sorry, Princess Ariel. This afternoon I haven't cooked anything, but you can have a snack at the table. At least it can get stuck in the stomach" Safy replied as he continued his duties.
Safy had finished his tea, then poured a cup for Ariel. After that, he started preparing food ingredients. “What does Princess Ariel want to eat tonight?"
While enjoying the bread at the table, Ariel thought about her favorite dish. “Hmm, it could be chicken, beef, or maybe frog monster meat too. The last time I ate frog monster meat, it was so soft, especially its upper thighs. It feels like eating it again even if it's just a mouthful, plus soy sauce tastes better."
“I understand. Frog monster meat does have a texture like chicken meat. Therefore, I will use chicken meat as the main ingredient."
Safy instantly prepared his main ingredient, he took out the chicken meat from the magic storage. There were 15 pieces of chicken thighs he took, plus other necessary ingredients.
All the materials came from the palace supplies, so there was no need to go to the market anymore. Ariel noticed Safy's skill from the dining room, saying inwardly, “It's no surprise Seraphina chose him as a loyal servant. His skills are above average. I'm really lucky to move here."
