Study history

The sword or cleaver that Hamas bought in the market that day made us learn history. Yes, because the sword appears interest to discuss the stories behind the picture of a thousand rupiah money that is now starting to be difficult to find. It is true, learning can be anywhere from anything and anyone. Because a sword made souvenirs from the market made us interested in studying the history of Kapiten Pattimura in thousand rupiah money which at first was not even interesting to discuss.

After reading from several sources we got new knowledge. This is the story behind Kapiten Pattimura who has the real name Thomas Matulesay. According to the sources we found that the image of Pattimura was the work of Verhuel, the commander of the Dutch marines who crushed the rebellion led by Pattimura in 1817 and is currently stored in the Naval Museum the Prince Kade Rotterdarm Netherlands. But the picture on the thousand rupiah note was made by a painter named Christian Latuputty.

Pattimura was one of the pahlwan from Maluku who was sentenced to death due to the rebellion he had against the Dutch in the 19th century. The meaning of the name Pattimura itself according to the title of Maluku is Patih which means "the word of the Lord or Head in the sense of breadth is the leader. Pattimura himself was the leader of the rebellion against the suppression of clove and nutmeg plantations during the Dutch colonial period called the term "hongi".

Interesting as well, I told Hamas. Yes, tea, just because of a sword, we learn many things, Hamas said. Yes indeed we can learn from anything, even small things that may not be important at first in our opinion, but bjsa so small things have an interesting history to discuss and add to knowledge, but bjsa so small things have an interesting history to discuss and increase knowledge, especially history. Going to or being in a location is always interesting to learn new things. Just like we did that day. Maybe if we weren't in Halmahera, we wouldn't be interested in talking about Pattimura. Discussing things close to us is always more interesting than if you have to learn things that are abstract and seem far away or there is no form.

All right, enough for the history lesson that day. Let's go back to tell you about our expedition trip that's coming to an end. There have been many stories and experiences that each person has had while in a very distant place. Most of us probably did not expect to get to that place. But we should be thankful we can't be there.

It's getting late afternoon. It was time to cook for dinner and of course pack back all the items we brought as equipment during the resort and in the forest. Tomorrow morning we have to leave for the hall, the last location that will be where we spend the night before finally returning to our original activities as students in Java. Will soon return to the laptop with a myriad of activities as usual.

As usual, Dea was the cook. This time, several people including me helped her. Mr. Rolan told us to shop at the restaurant next to the office. In the shop was quite complete kitchen needs. I went shopping with Dea and again just accompanied him because honestly I did not really understand the cooking cooking.Just when I was at camp with memei, I only helped boil water, I just helped boil water, cook indomie and fill rice into the lunchbox. The rest is only Dea who knows including the food menu that will be cooked that afternoon.

Dinner was ready and everyone gathered in the hall room in a circle with all the food menus neatly arranged in the middle. We eat with gourmand. Eating rice with salted fish and sambal is never wrong. Even if it's only potluck but everyone enjoyed dinner at the time.

After dinner and all the cooking and eating utensils were clean, Mr. Rolan invited us to discuss related activities tomorrow morning. Arranging the departure schedule to the hall and discussing the activities we will do during the 3 days in the hall later. Including with the presentation of the final results of our expedition activities. It must be done so that the data we get is known by the national park. Although we will make a report, but there needs to be preliminary data that must be reported to them through the presentation.

Through a discussion with Mr. Rolan, tomorrow we will drive to the hall at 8 am and will be picked up by private car and drivers who the other day have taken us to the resort. Our goods will be transported by truck. Everyone was packing their respective items and the team equipment used by each squad. Me and the team started to tape all the equipment we were using and pack them one by one into the container boxes we were carrying. Getting used to field activities like that makes us proficient in packing field equipment and making sure it is not scattered or left behind.

One by one the checked equipment was put into a container by Dika and then closed it neatly. Finished the task for the night. It's time to take a break before we start tomorrow. After all the squad equipment had been packed, it was time to pack personal items. I took the clothes I was drying yesterday and neatly arranged them into my carier bag. Before putting the items in the carier bag, I first recorded them in the book so that nothing was left behind.

Where did the clothes go, I muttered while trying to remember where I last saw a t-shirt that I did not find in my pile of clothes. I looked it up in the clothesline to make sure, but I didn't find it when I remembered I washed it yesterday. Ah already, maybe getting carried away by the others later will also be returned I thought. But it turned out that the clothes were lost and did not return until we had returned to Jakarta.
