Last day at the hall

It's finished.Today's our last in the hall. Tomorrow morning we will return to Jakarta. Today is the time of determination as well as being the last day we are together with all the residents of the hall.

Today is the time for presentation before tomorrow returns. The results of our activities for almost twenty days in Halmahera will be shown in the presentation session which will soon be held. All the squads are ready with their respective presentation materials and Mitha as the expedition secretary has been collecting our presentation files since last night to be edited according to the provisions of the hall.

Is the tea ready? Nuril approached me who had been practicing for the preparation of the presentation since then. In front of me is a laptop that lights up and displays a slide that Mat made a few days ago. I tried to read one by one the slides and understand the contents so that later my presentation could be smooth.

Ready but still nervous euy, I turned to Nuril who was sitting next to me and read the slide I was reading. I'm not used to public speaking, and I'm usually nervous about being asked to give a presentation. Moreover, this is scientific data, so everything that comes out of my mouth will have to be based on data, not just say or coral.

Yuk all to the hall. The head of the hall has come to take Dani to the second floor to tell us. All the children who are still preparing are ready to finish their affairs immediately. I put on my uniform in a black T-shirt as the inside and immediately I turned off the laptop that was still on and I took the small notebook in my bag and immediately followed the others to the hall that Dani told me about.

My nervousness grew when I saw the head of the hall already sitting on his great chair. On the left and right side, there are two people who are no strangers to us, namely the head of biodiversity from the forestry ministry who used to celebrate August 17 with us and another is the LIPI mission that will help us to take permission for specimens to be taken to the plane.

After the speech from the head of our hall we watched a short video about the national park and continued with a presentation from Mas Adul.

After Mas Adu finished with his presentation it is time to enter the question and answer session. It turns out that the question to Mas Adul there are only two and can be answered very well. I hope I can answer well like that, I said in my heart. My nervousness has not gone away.

Now it's our team's turn as students who convey the results of our findings of each team. As always in the formal presentation of our set is always done in sequence according to the taxa that start from the team of mammals, birds, herpetofauna, butterflies, flora and caves and ecotourism at the end.

When Ical's turn came from the butterfly team to deliver his presentation, I began to calm down. Nervousness that had been reduced little by little. This presentation was broadcast live on the official instagram account of the national park and our association.

Ical answered the last question steadily and returned to his seat to applause. Now it's my turn, Dani calls my name to come forward. I walked forward confidently and casually because the nervousness in my chest was not as big as it was at the beginning. Mitha showed me my first slide on the monitor screen.

I delivered one point at a time on the slide on the monitor and if there was any additional explanation I delivered as well as I knew and learned a few days ago and was training before the meeting began. When I finished my presentation the audience applauded me and it was time for a question and answer.

All the questions asked of me I could answer well and some of the suggestions given by the head of the hall I also neatly recorded in the little notebook I brought. I returned to my seat to applause like before.

Now it's Laras and Putra's turn to deliver their presentation as a closing squad. When the two of them had come to answer the last question then the applause grew even more boisterous. This time it was the turn of the head of the hall who concluded and gave direction to us related to the data we had conveyed earlier during the presentation.

After directions from the head of the time hall snack and entertainment events. I don't know why there are entertainment shows too. We chatted casually while enjoying the snacks available at the table. The head of the hall was no longer talking formally like that but had joined us in the conversation.

Hopefully tomorrow when the brothers will return again to Jakarta launched his journey and hopefully until safely there.
