Rainbow of Your Eyes

Rainbow of Your Eyes
CHAPTER 1 Rainbow

Today I woke up at 5am when my alarm went off. As usual I took a shower after that to carry out my duty as a Muslim, namely performing dawn prayers. I saw my mother was busy in the kitchen with her activity to make cakes to be left at a neighboring stall. Since my father passed away 3 years ago, it was my mother who was eager to find money to meet our needs to finance our lives, me and my sister Sari. Sari is still sitting in class 2 SMA so it still needs to cost. Actually after graduating High School, 2 years ago I had a job in a boutique owned by one of our neighbors, Ami,but a year ago Ami moved out of town following her husband off-city duties so Ami sold the house and the boutique, so I had to quit the job. It is not easy to find a job in the present day especially just capitalizing on a high school diploma, so I do not want my sister later education is only limited to High School, I want my sister can go to college in order to raise her degree of life, so I do not want my sister's education, let me give up for my sister, I want my sister to be a successful person later. After I finished the morning prayers I rushed to the kitchen to help my mother. My mother's pity after my father died ah youth became the backbone for our survival.

"Mother, let the rainbow put the cake in the box yes" I said to my mother.

"Yes, if that is the case, the mother wants to wake Sari first for school, the child is indeed difficult to get up early," said my mother then rushed to Sari's room to wake Sari.

My sister's sari was indeed a bit spoiled and a little lazy. Back when my father was alive, our life was very mixed with property, never lacking, both my son and Sari were always spoiled with property, especially Sari, whatever she asked was always obeyed by my father, my father,my father used to be a successful businessman, because he trusted too much with his business partner who was also his best friend, Mr. Surya, unbeknownst to the father, Surya betrayed the father and took over the father's company and left a debt that I had to pay. Dad was devastated by the incident, then fell ill, one by one our property was sold for the treatment of the father and pay the debts of the company, until finally the father died. The only legacy of the father is the house that we live in was forced to sell to pay off the remaining father's debt and the rest to buy a small house that we now occupy.

"Mother, Sari went to school first yes," said Sari.

"Yes, be careful" said I and my mother.

"Rainbow, it's finished son, the cake," said the mother.

"It's mom, it's ready, stay delivered" I said.

As usual I was in charge of delivering the cake to our neighbor's shop, Bu Nana. After I quit the boutique where I used to work, I tried to apply for jobs everywhere from one office to another, from one store to another, but the answer I received there was no vacancy. To help with our finances, I received private tutoring from the children around our house. We were very lucky because the neighbors around us were very kind, wanting to send their children to tutoring with me,though they could have told their children to tutoring in a nicer course with a teacher who has more insight than me.
