Last night, under the bridge near the Red river, at 8:00 pm.
“Come! Let’s go! It's Hajar! Hit!”
The spectators cheered as the two students fought each other in their midst. Meanwhile, bettors are anxious about the bets they choose. They chose between the two students. The organizers, who were holding the event, were busy to record live broadcasts from their smartphone cameras. They laugh at each other and hold their smart phones, as well as not feeling guilty for having involved the two students.
Everyone under the bridge near the Red river had the same uniform, but most of them were students from Tjee Academy. Several other High Schools were also involved in the event, and some of them became her role models.
The two students at stake for this event are from Tjee Academy and Dolwech High School. The two schools were the most prestigious than the other schools in this city of Gofur, so it invited the students from other schools to watch them. What's more, the event is broadcast live with a big bet, 500k or comparable to 34 US Dollars.
They watch and bet for their entertainment. That's why they came to this show.
“Come on, the loser! Hit it! Lung up! Don't lose to him!”
A student from Tjee Academy, who was also the organizer of the event, had a sangar face and a large tattoo on his back, constantly cheering in support of the students from his school. He had placed a bet for that student, and he was also the one who forced that student to fight there. He is Kevin Hidayat, a delinquent teenager who often troubles society and its teachers.
He is feared for having a bad reputation, often annoying people, often threatening to kill if someone reports it, troublemaking, fighting and brawling, and live as what he wants. His life motto is, as long as his wish is achieved, he will be very happy. He was the worst grade for a teenager and a student. Even so, until recently, even if he had a bad reputation, the police did not dare to bother him or arrest him. The police judged him to be like a small criminal hiding in the shadows: it was difficult to be arrested without evidence. Besides, he's underage.
After a while when the fight began, Kevin said that the students he brought were the best losers. So, students from other schools trust him and place bets for the loser. He's like the one who instigates them to place their bets on the loser. Of course, there's an advantage to him. He will get a bonus from the money they bet if the loser wins, as well as bonus money from the results of including the loser to the event. That way, he gets his own winnings, a lot of money.
BAM!
But he had no idea about who the opponent of the loser he was carrying. The opponent of the loser was the student who was joined by the bully from Dolwech High School. When the loser got a punch from the student, he almost bit his lip.
The loser fell down after being hit hard in the face. The audience seemed to know who would win the fight. They, who bet for the loser, are surprised to learn that the loser has no chance of winning. Some of them almost glanced at Kevin and wanted to blame him for all of this. While the bettors who chose the student were also happy. They are happy to find the money they want in front of them. They'll pick it up in a minute.
This is a determination of whether the loser who is included by Kevin will lose or not. At this moment, their eyes were fixed on the two people who were in their midst. They want to know the end of the fight. They want their money. They wanted their impossible hope to suddenly come near them. They want this all over soon.
The student stood above the loser after he found out his opponent was unable to stand up. He struck his punch towards the loser's face several times until it completely ensured his fight had been completed and won by him.
A few moments before the referee decided he was the winner, Kevin quickly rushed past several spectators in a hurry.
“You jerk..”.
Kevin pushes the student and then lifts the loser's uniform collar. He pushed the loser up the bridge wall and hit the loser several times.
“You have humiliated me, Jamal! You see how many people are watching you and betting for you? Can you see them, huh? You're satisfied with losing to him just like that? You let me down, you loser. I can kill you when I want. I've given you a chance to live, but you ruined it.”
He threatened the loser who had Jamal's name with a penknife pulled out of his pants pocket. He stuck the tip of the blade into Jamal's neck with his eyes increasingly shrouded in anger.
“M-Sorry..”
Even if Jamal apologizes when his mouth can't speak, Kevin doesn't stop. He continued to threaten her with his increasingly powerful thrust and with the tip of the blade that further pierced through Jamal's skin.
“Sorry? You, who as the loser, apologized to me? Do you think I'll forgive you? You know what makes me like this? Do you know how many people are disappointed because of you? You know the money they spend on losers like you? Are you able to replace it?”
“M-Sorry..”
But in the end, they could only watch. Some of them chose to be safe, to run away from the venue, such as not wanting to get involved in this situation.
Jamal is at the end of his life. Kevin was already furious and could have killed him. No one can stop him. It's like they don't want to get involved and be Kevin's next target. They can only wait until Kevin's anger subsides or witness Kevin's murder.
Time went on, and the blade stuck in Jamal's neck deepened. Both of Kevin's eyes continued to stare at Jamal who was already helpless. Just wait for time until the blade pokes into the inside of Jamal's neck.
*Police siren sounds.
Luckily, there were police coming. No, it's not a cop, but a voice coming from someone's smart phone that's on the bridge. Even so, since it appeared at the right time, Kevin and the others panicked and ran to get away from the place.
Before Kevin left, he had managed to threaten and intimidate Jamal to keep Jamal on his guard.
“You are happy this time. I'll kill you if you embarrass me again. Wait for me at school, I'll give you a warning! Your father, your little sister, your grandmother, I know them. I'll hurt them if you don't obey me and humiliate me again! Remember that, Jamal Pasaribu!”
A girl immediately rushed down after knowing they had left. He immediately asked Jamal's condition which did not look okay.
“Are you okay? I happened to take this road after coming home from my tutoring place. I saw you..”
He was very worried about Jamal's condition which was full of bruises on his face. Jamal refused his help.
“I'm fine. It's none of your business. You don't interfere!”
After judging the girl's face, Jamal stood up and left her.
The girl didn't want Jamal to just leave, so she decided to call Jamal.
“Wait! I can't help you with this, but I.”.
“But what? You can't even help your friend. So, don't try to interfere in my problems! Go and never get involved in this! I'm warning you if you're involved. Your life could have changed, Chika Miedeman. Maybe you're happy with your current life because you have everything, but if you get involved in my problems, all your lives you get will end and in the end, you end up, you'll never be able to come back. So, I warn you not to interfere!”
After saying that, Jamal left the girl named Chika Miedeman.
Chika can only let Jamal go without being able to stop him. His lips seemed hesitant to stop Jamal for the second time. Both of his legs hesitated to chase after him. His mind was empty because it was filled with doubt. He could only let Jamal go.

Today, in classrooms 2-2, before study time begins.
A student came in with a battered face on his face. He walked up to his stool with a bow and did not want to look in any direction. He seemed to have just lost his spirit in life. And I, who could only see him walking onto his stool, kept looking at him and wondering what had happened to him.
I immediately opened my smartphone to check the data of the students of this class. I checked Jamal's biodata, which was summarized by my friend Anton. And after that, I tried to approach her, even during the break. However, he chose to stay away from me when he found out I was a new student at this school. My approach to him failed. He refused my presence.
It caught my attention. I want to know more about Jamila's class mates. Maybe there's something to do with my niece if I start from approaching them.
Jamal Pasaribu's... Are you a bad person, or are you just an unlucky person? Let's find out.
