109. Ilena's Grief

Red took a sip of his cigarette butts as he stared at the increasingly dense night sky. He saw the body of Selena who is now sleeping soundly in her bed.

Nothing happened to them because Red managed to control him. Somehow the eyes that Selena gave looked different from the one she had given.

Red rubbed his face rough. He began to doubt Selena. She doubts if Selena is the girl in her past. He had to investigate all of this from the beginning again. And from where Selena can get Purple's diary.

Red contacts his best men to find information about the girl of his past. He cursed himself who had made a hasty decision.

"If you're not Purple, then where is the real Purple? Did you deliberately hide it from me?" inner Red wondered by staring at Selena.

Morning greetings. Ilena woke up from her long sleep. Only this time he was able to fall asleep soundly without any interference from his brother. Ilena immediately cleaned herself up and headed to the kitchen to help prepare breakfast for her family members.

As Ilena was about to step into the kitchen, her steps came to a halt as Sorena called out to her. The girl immediately approached her stepmother.

"Yes, Mom. What's up?" Ask Ilena politely.

"Clean your sister's room. Hurry along!" sorena's orders.

"Yes, Mom. But, isn't brother angry if I go inside his room?"

"Selena's not in her room. He's staying at Red's. Quickly clean up before your brother gets home!"

"Well, Mom. Umm, look, Mom. Can I go to the orphanage today? I haven't visited the kids in there in a long time." Ilena asked for permission carefully.

Sorena smiled a grin. "You're fit to live there. You should have stayed there. Go if you want to go," Sorena replied then passed.

Ilena knew that her stepmother would definitely go all day and come home late at night.

"Thank you, Mom."

Ilena's headed for Selena's room. He saw that the room was quite a mess. No one can clean Selena's room but Ilena. That's what Sorena and Selena ordered.

Ilena sighed then started her work. Her eyes were on Selena and Red. She was envious of her brother's fate, which always ended well. Not like her unlucky self.

After cleaning Selena's room, Ilena prepares breakfast for her father. Ilena knew that her father must be tired from last night's show. So, she took the initiative to bring her father's breakfast into the room.

Ilena saw her father sitting on the back of the bed.

"Dad, let's have breakfast first!" ilena said by developing a smile.

"Darling, you don't have to. I can go to the dining room, son."

"No, Dad. I know Dad must be tired because last night Dad came home late. Let me feed dad!"

"Thank you, son. You're a good father's daughter."

Ilena smiled. He painstakingly fed his father until the food was toilet. He prepared water to drink his father.

"Dad, after this I'm going to the orphanage. Did Dad allow me?"

Brian nodded his head. "You've permission with your mother?"

"Here you go, Dad."

At the Adams family home, Brian is enjoying the afternoon watching the news on television after he monitors Ralph's work. A housekeeper came to him.

"Excuse me, sir."

"What's wrong?" ask Brian.

"It's Mister. I found this in Miss Selena's pile of dirty clothes. I'm afraid this is an important object belonging to the lady, so I save it first" explained the assistant.

"All right, let me keep it." Brian receives a diary belonging to Selena. The assistant left immediately after handing over the book.

Brian was quite surprised because he seemed to recognize the diary.

"It's Ilena's?" Brian called the assistant and confirmed that the book was on Selena's pile of clothes. And the assistant believes that this is in Selena's belongings.

Brian went into his room with the diary. Somehow the feeling became uneasy after seeing Ilena's old diary.

Brian opened the diary. He read the sheet by sheet that was written there. It was Ilena writing when she was 10 years old.

Brian shut his mouth in disbelief. Then how could the diary be in Selena's place? Brian held onto his chest which was painful.

Brian vaguely remembers what Red said at his home dinner.

Brian's chest is getting sick. He walked towards Selena's room with a limped step.

He sat on the edge of the bed and looked at the photo of Selena along with Red. Her tears suddenly escaped.

"No way! This is impossible!" murmured Brian.

"The girl who should be with Red is Ilena not Selena."

Brian felt very guilty for his youngest daughter. Her brother had snatched away the happiness that should belong to Ilena.

In the midst of her grief, Selena, who had returned home, was shocked to see Brian in her room.

"Dad?! What are you doing in my room?" ask Selena.

"Do you remember this?" brian asked with a look at Ilena's diary.

Selena was shocked to see the diary in Brian's hands.

"Return! That's mine!" exclaim Selena.

Brian shook his head. "No, Son. It's not yours, it's Ilena's!" exclaim Brian.

Selena shakes. He is also angry because his father always defends Ilena.

"Really! It belongs to Ilena. Then why? but that little girl is no match for Red. So, just let Red be with me. We are engaged and soon we will be married. So, you can't mess this up if you still want to see Ilena!" threaten Selena at the end of her sentence.

"No, Son! You shouldn't have taken what's rightfully Ilena!"

"Enough! This was a punishment for him because his mother had snatched the father from my mother! Don't you realize this is all because of Dad! Father made me this way. I have to endure it!" exclaim Selena with hunting breath.

Brian looks weakened. He kept holding onto his chest which was getting sicker. His body collapsed and then unconscious.

Selena panicked to see her father's unconscious body. He called his mother to go home soon.

"How's this? Daddy's! Awake, dad!" Selena tried to wake Brian up. Nil. Brian did not move.

Tonight is a night of grief for Ilena. When he returned home, he found his father lying stiff in a crate.

Ilena walked up to the chest and saw her father's lifeless body. Ilena's body slid to the floor. He was crying and felt so much sadness.

Monica comes and smashes Ilena's weak body. Now there is no more focus in his life. She hugged Monica.

"Patience, Miss. You've calmed down there" whispered Monica to Ilena. He rubbed Ilena's back which shook violently.

Ilena stayed overnight beside her father's body. He doesn't want to get out of there. Her tears had dried up but her heart still felt bitter.

In the morning, Brian's body was immediately buried at the funeral. Some of his business colleagues came to pay their respects to men who had been successful in various businesses.

In the front row there are Sorena, Selena and also Ilena. Ilena's weak body continued to be held by Monica. That girl is so fragile right now.

Red, who is also Selena's fiancee, comes to strengthen the girl's heart. He came with Grey.

One by one the mourners began to leave the cemetery. Sorena and Selena embrace each other and step away from her husband's final resting place.
