CHAPTER 49. SURPRISED

"How is Dir? Why is Riko here? Isn't he focused on keeping Rendi in the hospital?"

"Well, I was surprised Ta, when I saw him, I thought my vision was wrong. Do we have to tell Arga before mom sees him?"

"Yes Dir, we should just call Arga."

"Get my phone in the room, hurry Ta, before Om Riko finishes eating and goes to the cashier. Didn't Mama say she'd be there to replace the cashier's mom who's having a stomachache."

"Yes Dir, a minute. I don't have a phone either."

Artha ran towards their room near the parking lot. And he was shocked when he saw Fras also arrive there.

"Oh, how is this! I gotta hurry."

Artha ran to get her phone, without going back to Dirta's place, and she called Arga. But Arga didn't pick up her call because she was taking classes.

Artha hurriedly returned to Dirta's place but they were too late Riko had already headed to the cashier.

Both of them were relieved, when they did not see Mama Mirna there. But they don't know if Riko instead goes home but goes into the kitchen to look for Mirna.

Artha and Dirta were again busy welcoming the guests who had just arrived and looking for an empty seat for them.

Riko asks the waiter who just came out of the kitchen, then the waiter tells her that Mirna is helping the chef who is having trouble cooking orders.

Finally the waiter asked Riko to enter the kitchen, because he could not accompany or take Riko.

It turned out to be true, Riko saw a woman struggling with cooking utensils. He stood there, and not even the power of his tears.

His longing for Mirna's figure made Riko unable to say a word until the chef's assistant reprimanded her.

"Mother why are you here! Sorry sir, please wait outside. We're having trouble preparing an order."

Riko did not heed the words of the assistant chef, and he continued to look at Mirna to make the assistant strengthen his tone, to expel Riko.

Mirna who heard this was curious, and she turned around and was so shocked that the hot sutil she was currently in her hand fell to the floor, hitting her feet.

Riko who saw that also shouted and ran about to hold Mirna's slightly scratched leg.

Riko looked up but Mirna threw her face the other way, she did not want to until Riko saw her who was about to cry.

"Darling, it turns out you're here. It's me, your husband Riko. Mir, don't you recognize me? Look at me, I miss you and Arga our son."

Even though the water was not able to be damned anymore, Mirna cried as well as Riko. Riko who misses Mirna so much is about to hug her, but Mirna instead encourages her.

Riko was surprised, she did not think that Mirna had changed, and Riko said, "Honey, why are you like this? I'm still alive, honey. I miss you so much."

As Riko said that, Fras was already standing behind her. Fras looked at Mirna who was standing up crying, then he passed Riko and pulled Mirna into his arms.

Mirna sobbed, Fras understood what his wife was feeling right now.

"Take him off Fras! She's my wife, "pinta Riko while pulling Fras' hand."

Fras further tightened his embrace, he will not let go of Mirna because the woman is now no longer Riko's wife but the mother of their future baby.

Riko kept pushing until Mirna in between her sobs yelled, "Let go of my husband! You have no right to me anymore!"

Riko's eyes were increasingly teary, he did not expect that Mirna could snap at him.

"Mir, it's me baby, I'm alive, why are you treating me like this!"

"Where have you been all this time? Why must you appear before me again? I hate you! I hate, hiks.hiks..hiks," said Mirna in tears and again buried her face into Fras' chest.

Fras kissed Mirna's head and stroked her hair, then said, "Go Riko, let Mirna calm down first. He's in syock right now, I'll set a time so you can talk things out and so you can meet Arga."

"But Fras.." Riko's speech stopped when he saw Fras raising a sign forbidding Riko to continue his speech.

"Go! if Mirna's ready to talk, I'll call you, I promise" Fras said.

Riko could not insist anymore, she was sad to see Mirna seemed reluctant to see and meet him.

Slowly Riko retreated while wiping away the tears that did not stop dripping. Right now Riko's heart is very sick and he becomes a crybaby man because the much loved woman has changed.
