By night Hanna had just arrived in the courtyard of her luxury home. Looks striking compared to other home buildings. Larger and brighter with clean white paint, plus a spotlight that adds to the grandeur of the two-story building.
The rain still faithfully flushed the small village making the streets slippery and the thin fog covered the view.
The woman was silent for a moment, she grabbed her phone and photographed the raindrops on her car glass. As she was about to send the photo to her husband, she saw five missed calls from him.
Hanna then sent the photo to her husband's whatsapp, with the caption 'I'll stay at Mama's house, rain and fog covering the view'.
He then came out following the child and his mother who had already run under the umbrella.
"Mom, Mr. Michael repeatedly called me, telling you to go back home." Agra had already confronted him when Hanna had just reached the door.
"I want to spend the night here, if you want to come back papa. Tomorrow you can pick me up again" he told the driver.
"All right, I'll just go home. What time will I pick up Ms Hanna tomorrow?"
"Later to be informed."
"Oh yes, have you made a decision?" tanyanya stopped Agra's steps.
"Already Ma'am," he said firmly.
"I chose to pretend not to know about the matter" he continued, bowing.
The young man followed what his heart said. Because he is also tired if he has to continue to get rid of the rest of his master's work. Although the logic refused but his conscience believes this is the right way.
"Okay, thank you. May your kindness be reciprocated by Allah" said Hanna as she continued her steps towards the stairs.
Suddenly his steps stopped when the spotlight hit the window of his house and reflected the light on the wall of the stairs. It wasn't from her car, because Agra had just exited the door.
"Who's coming?" ask Hana in my heart. His head was drowning as well as the mother who approached the door.
A tall, big man came out of the car. He runs into Agra who is about to get into his car. But it stopped and his eyes clashed with the man.
But, they were silent without a word just bowing their heads as the man crossed Agra.
"Who is this guy? The feelings are not foreign" he whispered in his heart.
"Assalamualaikum" said the man at the door.
"Vaalaikumsalam. Nak Reyhan! What's the matter with these nights?" Adri who just came out from the side of the house immediately questioned him.
"Can I come in?" tanyakanya.
"Bo-can," said Ratna stammered glancing at Hanna who was still standing at the end of the stairs.
Suddenly his heart was pounding, his knees were stiff and his tongue seemed speechless. He just silently nodded. The story that is not over seems to come to hold it accountable. More precisely it had to be cut.
So did Agra, his steps halted as his eyes peeked sharply into the house. His mind was wondering what really happened and who the young man was. However, he feels bad if he has to go back again or just who it is.
"Ah, maybe her friend or her parents' guest. Need to report, sir, no?" ask Agra inwardly.
Suddenly his mind was worried between reporting or not. In the end he reached into his cell phone and photographed the man from behind. Then save the flat object back and start the car.
Just a few meters away from the house suddenly his phone rang, his name written on the screen. He stepped on the brake and received the call.
"I don't feel like I've sent the picture yet, ko doi just called." he murmured.
"Yes hello, boss."
"It's still raining?" The sound of a bus was heard there.
"Still boss, the mist is also this lumaya. This is me just walking from Ms. Hanna's house" he said.
"Oh, so you're finally home too. Okay," said Michael's voice softened.
"So you went home alone?" asked the man in a hardened back voice cutting Agra's answer.
"I-iya boss, why?"
"Well, do you go home by yourself? Hurry back! How's he going home tomorrow?" snapped Michael.
"Anu boss, he said later on so I can pick him up."
"No-no! You stay there and keep an eye on him!" he ended his paggilan.
"Etdaahh, don't see a day just rich run out of medicine!" gerutu Agra stopped his car.
He's looking for a vacant lot to turn his car around. Tonight he was forced to stay in the house.
"Hanna" Reyhan murmured as her gaze met the woman he still loved dearly.
From his expression he seemed to know that in the house there was Hanna. Unlike the woman, she was busy controlling herself and her heart accepted this situation outside of her mind. He didn't think Reyhan would come to the house.
As he continued to rule himself he went down the stairs.
"What do you need?" tanyanya saw Reyhan when he was not far from the young man.
"Can we talk?"
Hanna glanced at her car no longer in the yard. He thought it seemed like Agra was already on his way. Moreover, there is no way he drove Reyhan who has come all the way to this village. He was suspicious of the coincidence that happened.
The woman also went out of the house sitting on a wooden chair that memag placed on the terrace. Reyhan was not far from him. Meanwhile, Ratna and Adri return to their neighbor Bu Darmi's house, to put the sleepy Anin to sleep.
"Sorry I'm bothering you" said the young man starting the conversation.
Hanna was silent she swept around the dark, with the raindrops growing bigger. Even Reyhan's voice sounded very small swallowed by the gurgling water in front of them.
In the distance a pair of eyes were watching the two of them.
"Are you all right?" ask Reyhan again.
"I'm good, as you can see."
"Is your heart fine too?"
"While he's invisible, I make sure everything's okay. No need to worry, between us there is nothing more." he said.
"Yes right, your trauma seems to have recovered well. Your heart's eyes also seem to be wide open, I hope this time your heart chooses the best."
Hanna just smiled knotfully and nodded.
"I just want to see you one last time. Because the way we parted is very disturbing to my mind."
"It seems right, I was only used as a stepping stone by you. Once you've healed and opened your heart, it's not a guy like me you want."
"I don't care how your wild mind rules the heart. For sure, it won't end if no one starts. But, stop! I don't want to discuss anything personal with you. Let it all be like this, that we may both step toward the destiny that is prepared ahead."
"Love is actually a good girl, she deserves you. After all, he loves you a lot, too" he continued.
"Hanna is a good woman, I love her so much. He deserves to have it too. However, fate said another man who was much better than me had taken it. I can what? Because love alone is not enough to sail the household ark," Reyhan said glancing at the shadow of the car in the distance.
"Who is he? Why are you still there?" reyhan whispered in his heart.
Hanna was silent her heart was struggling, she tried her hardest to hold back her feelings. Wanting it to scream under the rain blew the tightness in his chest.
"Old, this rain will keep reminding me of you." he whispered inwardly.
