Ryanthi: Sweet Cake, Bitter Reality
● TWENTY-THREE : Releasing Load

Ryanthi already looks neat with a black midi dress of white pollet. The plan, today he will accompany Vera to check the contents. Ryanthi was worried, especially after the fighting incident involving him with Vera yesterday-yesterday.

"I want to go out for a while" Vera said as she said goodbye to Maya.

"Where are you going?" ask Maya. He was so astonished, when he saw the togetherness between Ryanthi and Vera.

"Just eat, Ma. I'll take Ryanthi to my sushi restaurant" Vera replied as she glanced at Surya's biological daughter.

Ryanthi replied with a smile. The other case with Maya who looks worried. He's closing in on Vera. "Are you sure, Ver?" tanyanya while touching her daughter's forehead.

Hearing Maya's words that greatly alarmed Vera, Ryanthi immediately responded. "Just relax, Auntie. I'm not going to hit Vera for no reason" he said.

Before Maya could respond to Ryanthi's words, Vera immediately took the girl out. He doesn't want to talk to Maya much. "Don't waste time serving my mama" Vera said after they passed the door.

Crowded afternoon in the capital. Vera is so good at driving the latest output sedan that Surya gave as his birthday gift. After a few moments of heavy traffic, they arrived at a special clinic for mothers and children.

Vera signed up. While waiting for her name to be called, the girl was engrossed in playing the phone. Meanwhile, Ryanthi just sat watching the people passing by.

Luckily, the day was not too long. After waiting for a while, Vera's name was finally called. However, it turned out that the girl was nervous about having to go in by herself.

"Company me" he asked.

Ryanthi nodded along with a gentle smile. The two girls entered the examination room. There, a doctor invited Vera to go to bed, after the doctor placed some notes on the examination card on behalf of the girl.

"How's my condition, Doc?" ask Vera, after she finished doing the USG.

"Everything's good. There's no problem. I'll give you a prescription for vitamins" replied the doctor.

Ryanthi was finally able to smile with relief after hearing the doctor's explanation. He no longer felt anxious.

"Much rest, and avoid stress, ma'am," the doctor advised, before letting Vera and Ryanthi out of the examination.

After that, the two beautiful girls headed to the pharmacy to redeem the recipe. They were told to wait a while.

"I'm happy because your content is fine" Ryanthi said.

Vera smiled sweetly. Never had he done that to Ryanthi. "The longer, the bigger my stomach will be. I don't know what would happen if my mom and dad knew about this" Vera said. The look in his eyes implied anxiety.

"Just calm. I'll help you," Ryanthi replied, clutching Vera's lentic fingers tightly.

A pair of Vera's eyes were already glazed over. However, Ryanthi immediately reprimanded him. "Don't cry here. Shame."

After redeeming the recipe, they continued their journey to the place to eat. Although it was not yet time for dinner, Vera complained that she was starving. Two servings of processed salmon, accompany the togetherness of two girls who initially fought each other.

By evening, they decided to go home. Vera went straight to her room to rest. Meanwhile, Ryanthi approached Surya who called out to him. The middle-aged man gave a goodie bag to Ryanthi.

"What is this, Dad?" ryanthi asked curiously.

"Open it" Surya replied.

Ryanthi, who was curious, immediately unpacked the contents of the goodie bag earlier. Instantly, the girl was in disbelief. "This is for me?" tanyanya.

"Yes. I also bought you a new SIM card. You just wear it" replied Surya.

Ryanthi stared in disbelief at the latest advanced phone that Surya gave her. He never expected to have a mobile phone that used to be just a wishful thinking for him.

However, at once Ryanthi's cheerful face turned moody. He does not know who will contact and he calls, because now there is no Arshan who faithfully accompanies him to send messages.

"Thank you, Dad. This is great" Ryanthi said. Without hesitation, he hugged Surya. After that, Ryanthi passed to his room. Just now he put the goddie bag on the bed, there was a knock on the door. Ryanthi opened it immediately.

Tampakah Vera who put on a crisp face.

"What's wrong? It looks like you're really happy."

"Yes. I'm very happy. Arshan and his family will be tomorrow. He'll propose to me" replied Vera enthusiastically.

"Yes, God. Mercifully. I'm happy for you, Ver," Ryanthi said with a smile, despite the bitterness in her heart.

Vera hugged Ryanthi. He looks so happy. "Thank you for helping me convince Arshan" he said. I don't know what Vera was thinking at the time. He seemed to be unaware that he had made Ryanthi's heart so sliced. I don't know where the empathy the girl has.

Ryanthi smiled again. "Then, what would you say if Arshan and his family came here to propose to you? You know for yourself that in dad's eyes, he is ...." Ryanthi could not continue his words.

"Eitherway. I don't know either. How about tomorrow," said Vera lightly.

Ryanthi muttered softly. "Well, you get some rest. Do not forget to take vitamins. Remember the doctor's message" Ryanthi reminded.

"Come on. I have to make sure you're actually taking the vitamins that the doctor gave you." Ryanthi pulls Vera's hand towards the girl's room. There, he took water and vitamins. Ryanthi gave it to Vera.

"Thank you, Ryanthi" said Vera suddenly. The girl looked at Ryanthi with a different look.

"That's it. I'll help you as much as I can. I just want you and the baby in your womb to always be healthy. All this time, I've only lived alone with my late mother. Now, I have a brother. It feels very different" Ryanthi said sincerely, though his heart still ached when he remembered Arshan.

"Riland ...." Vera is speechless. He immediately hugged Surya's biological daughter.

Night comes in place of evening, which is full of drama slicing hearts for Ryanthi. As usual, the girl stood pensively on the balcony. Alone, feeling a gust of wind that feels cool.

Ryanthi looked at the dark sky for a moment. The girl's gaze glared far away, through the passage of time that led her in the past few years. However, before Ryanthi's daydream deepened, the beautiful girl first came to a realization due to the gentle touch on the shoulder. Ryanthi already knew and got used to it.

"Mother?"

Farida was already behind Ryanthi. With a gentle smile, the woman advanced to her feet, spelling out the princess' fingers. "How are you, son?" tanyakanya.

"I'm not okay, ma'am," Ryanthi replied softly. "I feel like I want to scream really loud. I want everyone to know about how I feel." Ryanthi was downcast, hiding the tears that had already been pooled in her fertilizer.

"Mom's happy because you can accept all this. Your dad's good, right? I'm also relieved, because you don't judge us both."

"I'm not a God who can judge one's sins" Ryanthi replied flatly.

Farida muttered softly. He followed Ryanthi's gaze. "Tonight was so calm. I love it" said Farida softly.

"Yes. Me too" Ryanthi said. He looked at the mother, who was still looking straight ahead. However, Ryanthi did not know what to say. Sometimes, he was still confused by Farida's presence nearby. However, Ryanthi was grateful for that.

"Did you remember?" ask Farida. "You used to fight with Alesha just because of an old doll?" The woman turned to Ryanthi who was still directing her gaze towards him.

"Yes. That's my beloved doll" Ryanthi replied softly. "I still remember the clothes I wore for the doll. I really like her, and wish I could have a beautiful dress like my doll." Ryanthi smiled. He turned his eyes forward. In the atmosphere of a quiet night, since it was almost midnight.

"Yes. You often whine asking to buy a dress like that. However, you ended up giving your doll to Alesha, just because she was crying." Farida smiled knot.

"He's my friend, Mom. Loved her. I don't like to see Alesha cry." Ryanthi turned her attention to Farida who was again smiling in a knot.

"Do you remember what happened after that?" Farida asked again. He was testing Ryanthi's memory.

For this time, Ryanthi smiled warmly. "of course. I remember very well that Mom bought me a new, much nicer doll" she replied. The smile on Ryanthi's lips grew wider.

"You don't intend to take the worn out doll that has been given to Alesha, do you?" Farida looked at Ryanthi with a meaningful look.

"No. Wh-wh-what for? I've got a new doll that's much nicer. I don't need any old, worn dolls anymore." Ryanthi grew tired of the conversation, as she thought it was very unimportant

Farida smiled gently again. He then took Ryanthi to sit down. As usual, the woman gave her lap as a buffer to the princess' head.

Farida kept stroking Ryanthi's hair, until the girl closed her eyes.

"Don't expect what you've given others, because it's not yours anymore. Ikhlaskan. You will get a much better replacement. Maybe not directly. But letting go will make the burden in your heart less."

Ryanthi did not answer. He just closed his eyes.

Farida took a long breath. Stare at the face of the beloved princess who is now asleep in her lap. Slowly she touched Ryanthi's face, then stroked the girl's hair again. Carefully, Farida moved it, until Ryanthi slept curled up on the balcony floor.

Farida brought her lips closer to Ryanthi's ears. The woman whispered something. "Let go of everything. It is enough for you to be a shield from the bitterness of this life. If you really want to cry, then blow it. As long as it can make the tightness in the chest so reduced." Farida kisses Ryanthi head warmly, before leaving.
