Before deciding to get out of his room, Ryanthi made sure first whether his eyes look careless or not. He didn't want everyone to know that he was crying all night. However, because his eyes did look careless, Ryanthi finally chose to remain in the room.
He saw a cell phone lying on the table next to the bed. Ryanthi grabbed the thing, then examined it. However, disappointment approached. Adrian did not contact himself. Not like yesterday.
Ryanthi begins to remember all the things he has done with Adrian. One of the hardest things to forget is when the handsome guy kisses her.
The same goes for Adrian. The man remained silent in the room. Adrian plays back the footage of the events he has been through with Ryanthi. The man could not forget all the kissing scenes with the girl.
Adrian's already kissed a dozen girls. However, I don't know why this time it felt different for him. Adrian smiled to himself as he remembered the incident.
"Ah." Ryanthi complained softly. His stomach is hungry. All day he didn't leave the room. Ryanthi had not eaten at all. Forced, Ryanthi comes out of her room at dinner.
Surya smiled happily, seeing Ryanthi finally coming to eat with them. Meanwhile, Maya only delicates many times.
"You're okay, right? This whole day, I didn't see you coming down" Surya asked as he thrust the plate at Maya, who immediately poured the food onto the husband's plate.
"I think Ryanthi is having a problem with Adrian" Vera said, glancing at Ryanthi. Meanwhile, Arshan said nothing, other than stealing a glance at the girl.
Ryanthi was silent. He did not respond to Surya's question or Vera's remarks. The girl only focused on the food on her plate.
Seeing Ryanthi's change in attitude, Surya again asked, "Is there really a problem with Mas Adrian?"
Ryanthi put down the spoon, then turned to her father. "No, Dad. Nothing" he answered briefly.
However, Surya did not believe it just like that. "Then, what's up? You see, it looks like something's bothering you?" inquiringly.
Ryanthi did not answer. He seemed to be thinking about what would be conveyed to Surya. A moment later, Ryanthi started talking. "I was just thinking about the plan we talked about back then" he replied with a straight look at the father.
"About your lecture?" Surya confirmed, who immediately replied to a nod from Ryanthi.
Surya swallowed the food that was being chewed. After which, he gulped down a little of the white water that had been provided. "We have not agreed. I agree if you are absolutely sure. I'll take care of everything" explained Surya.
"My intentions are well-rounded, Dad" Ryanthi said.
"What's the matter, Pa?" Maya is curious, because from earlier Surya only talked to Ryanthi, as if at the dinner table it was just the two of them.
Surya turned to Maya and replied, "Ryanthi wants to continue her studies."
Hearing that, instantly there were many flowers blooming in Maya's heart. He's feeling happy. That way, Ryanthi will often not be at home. "That's a very good plan, Pa. So, Ryanthi's got an activity. He wasn't just sitting pensive" he chanted.
"I also agree that Ryanthi wants to continue her studies. I hope I'm through to it. Don't be like me." Vera ended her words with a soft laugh.
Ryanthi smiled faintly at Vera's words. "We're obviously different, Ver. So, I can definitely finish my lecture until it's over" replied Ryanthi lightly, who immediately replied to a sneer from Vera.
"What university are you going to continue in?" ask Vera again.
Ryanthi was silent for a moment. A moment later, he replied, "Paris."
Suddenly, Ryanthi's answer leaves Vera and Maya wide-eyed.
Meanwhile, Arshan immediately choked on it. The man stared intently at Ryanthi who was refocused on the ceramic plate before him.
Ryanthi turned to Maya, then smiled. "Just relax, Auntie. I'm not gonna take Aunt's allotment of shopping money. As long as you can, I don't think there's a problem. Aren't you, Dad?" Ryanthi turned her attention to her father.
Surya nodded in agreement. "Again, I haven't given you anything yet, as a gift for your return to this house," he replied casually.
"Whatever it is, I'm very grateful. I just want to make my dreams come true and my late mother. I hope that one day I can stand on my own feet. Not being a parasite for those around me" Ryanthi replied, without any intention of insinuating anyone.
Surya smiled proudly with Ryanthi's strong determination. Of course, he would always support her as much as possible.
Arshan stared at Ryanthi. She could not believe that the girl decided she would go far. Why would he marry Vera if Ryanthi wasn't in the house anymore?
Until dinner, Arshan was still alone on the porch. What kind of life is he living right now? Her biggest regret, for having betrayed Ryanthi whom she loved so much.
Arshan sat leaning against one of the pillars of the large house. If only he had a strong belief, maybe now he can still hold Ryanthi's hand. However, Ryanthi will now go far.
Arshan's daydreams kept flying everywhere.
Unintentionally, she sees Ryanthi standing on the balcony. I don't know what the girl was thinking. His face did not look bright in the slightest.
Want it to feel like Arshan approached and asked why Ryanthi chose to go far? Arshan felt it wasn't because of him. Did Adrian make Ryanthi want to leave Indonesia? What has that man done to his ex-girlfriend?
Arshan looked at Ryanthi. His heart grew stifling, when he saw Ryanthi wiping away tears. "I should have wiped away your tears" murmured Arshan softly. Long enough the man noticed Ryanthi there, until the night got late.
The atmosphere felt so much. However, Ryanthi was still at home standing there alone. Thinking about many things, given by one person, Adrian. Yes, the handsome man has brought a lot of changes to Ryanthi's life. His influence was huge for the girl.
"What do you think, son?" A subtle touch on Ryanthi's shoulder, made the girl wake up from the daydream.
Ryanthi turned her head, then smiled. "Mother" he greeted her warmly.
Farida is always present when Ryanthi needs her. As the woman once said, she will always be there whenever Ryanthi needs to be. "What makes you feel worried, son? If you're sure, why do you have to hesitate again?"
"I'm scared, Mom," said Ryanthi.
"What are you afraid of, son?" ask Farida softly.
"much. There's a lot I'm afraid of right now. I can't think about it very well." Ryanthi bowed lethargic.
Farida smiled gently. He was standing right next to Ryanthi. His gaze floated far away, piercing through the vast nightly depths.
"Look at the dark sky, son," pointed at Fardia. "It's empty. Nothing interesting and scary. However, there were many people waiting for his arrival. Behind the loneliness that darkness brings, there are many laughter of happiness." Farida turned to Ryanthi for a moment.
"A father who returned to the warm embrace of the family, after working all day. A husband who came home with his wife's warm welcome. A person who is tired, can relax the body and restore their depleted energy."
"If that darkness looks so scary, why is there so much happiness there?" Farida again raised a gentle, loving gaze, at Ryanthi who seemed to be digesting all of her words.
"Am I overreacting, Mom?" ryanthi asked after a moment of silence.
"You're just in transition, which may feel confusing. However, I'm sure that you can definitely get through all of this well. You are a strong woman. Ryanthi, Farida's daughter. Go ahead, if you are sure."
