Arumi looked at the man closely. Paying attention to her body language, her facial expressions, and .. Who is she really?
"How can you be friends with someone like that?" thought in the heart.
Arumi kept watching him. From behind the short sleeve of the man's shirt, he could see the colorful scratches that adorned the strong and very sturdy-looking arm. Clearly visible, a firmness in the engraving of his arms. He must be a hard-working man.
Arumi tried to turn her face away. Shift his eyes on another object. However, again his gaze returned to the owner of the tattoo with a small piercing in his ear.
However, a moment later Arumi turned her eyes back to another direction. The man suddenly looked at her.
He looked at the girl who was still sitting sweetly in the black sedan for a moment. Likewise when he drove Keanu to return to his car.
"OKAY. Come back tomorrow or the day after!" said it. His voice sounded so calm.
"If you can't be too late. For a few days I closed early" said the man, gawking from outside the wide-open window.
"OKAY. I'll call you later tonight again. Now that I have an appointment with the beauty next to me," Keanu replied as he glanced at Arumi, who then turned back to his sister with a sweet smile.
The man looked at Arumi for a moment. His eyes looked so deep and shady. Although it seems a bit dim, but the beautiful twinkle that describes a very mature maturity.
Arumi felt a cold breeze that made the feeling inside his chest rustle.
But it did not last long, because immediately the car driven by Keanu was out of the workshop area.
"Who is he, brother?" ask Arumi. Somehow because he now feels curious about the man his brother has just met.
"Friends," Keanu replied flatly. He didn't take his focus off the wheel.
"We used to go to school at STM. He was majoring in mechanical engineering, while he was majoring in automotive. We were both 'forced' to follow in each other's father's footsteps" Keanu said. He smiled wryly while shaking his head.
"Oh. So ... Because you feel the same fate, then you can be good friends?" ledek Arumi interspersed with crisp laughter. "I think ... men can't get carried away with such feelings" Arumi murmured.
"What-like?" asked Keanu while glancing mischievously at the sister.
Arumi laughed softly. "Tell me, brother!" Arumi looked at the older brother who was still focused on the heavy traffic that afternoon.
"Has Brother already got a replacement for Sis Widuri ?" asked Arumi with his powerful attitude to Keanu.
Keanu glanced at Arumi with furrowed brows. He also smiled wryly. He did not know why Arumi suddenly asked about his personal problems.
"It's none of your business!" Keanu. He did not want to discuss his personal issues with his brother. Keanu's character is apparently still closed, still like before.
"Since when have you been so curious about your brother's personal affairs?" reprimand Keanu without looking at him
"Since I came home from Paris," replied Arumi lightly.
Keanu let out a long breath. He did not want to discuss his personal affairs any further. He prefers to be quiet.
...π π π...
"Mom can ride in my car if you want," Keanu bargained as he put food from the ceramic plate into his mouth.
Ryanthi glanced at Arumi. His eyes seemed to be asking for approval from the girl.
Arumi put down her spoon. He looked at his brother with a pretty serious face.
"Why didn't you let me drive by myself? I told my mom I learned to drive when I was in Paris" Arumi said. He hoped that Keanu could allow him to drive on his own.
"Hmm ... Why did you just ask your brother for permission?" adrian sela. "So, Dad's whereabouts are no longer of any use here?" continued with a sad face.
Hearing this, Arumi stopped eating and turned to Adrian for a moment. Then, he looked at Ryanthi.
"Oh my goodness, Mom. Look at! I'm jealous ..." chirps. The suddenness of his words made Ryanthi laugh, and even Keanu almost choked on it.
Arumi put down the spoon and fork he held. He then moved from his seat and immediately approached Adrian's seat.
Hugged the now aging handsome man from behind. His hands hung over his father's shoulders. He kissed Adrian's cheek warmly.
"Dad, it will never be replaced by any great man in my heart. Because Dad ... has occupied a very special place there," said the girl with a pair of dimples.
"Really?" tanyakanya. "Daddy dares to say if you are much smarter than your mother used to be," seduced Adrian as he glanced at Ryanthi who was sitting in a chair near him.
Ryanthi replies to the husband's glance with her smile. He also shook his head.
"So ... My mother used to be a very shy sweet girl?" ask Arumi.
"Very ..." replied Adrian. "And I know that he really wants you. But he always sold expensive and pretended not to care about Dad," Adrian said without turning his gaze away from Ryanthi, who can now only respond to the babbling of the husband with a big smile.
"When Dad used to be very handsome. How can you bear to ignore me? I really don't understand" asked Arumi again.
"Yes, that's also what has made Dad feel astonished. Father's good looks in the past, apparently not considered at all by your mother. He's more interested in the recipe book" Adrian said, still with a mesmerizing look at Ryanthi.
"Already, stop!" prevent Ryanthi. "You're the most handsome man I've ever known, and of course .. I really like your voice, honey," Ryanthi replied, holding Adrian's hand, the guy put it on the dining table.
"Ah .. I'm the laziest when I've seen a scene like this!" seloroh Keanu's. He resumed his dinner.
Adrian laughed softly, and so did Ryanthi. Such warmth, indeed always present in their small family. Especially after Arumi came back. It was complete with the happiness of Ryanthi and Adrian.
What less than the lives of both of them? I think they have everything. Treasure, success, and of course the family warmth they did not feel in the past.
The presence of Keanu and Arumi in their lives, is a gift as well as a huge responsibility.
Keanu with his character is closed, while Arumi with his sweet and very cheerful nature. The girl was always smiling and being friendly to anyone.
So too as today. Arumi is accompanying her mother to shop at a super market.
Calmly, he pushes a trolley containing the monthly shopping that Ryanthi used to buy.
"Usually, your father was in charge of pushing the trolley. He was always grumbling because I was judged to be shopping for too long" Ryanthi said, inserting a pack of sugar into the trolley.
"I'm sure you don't care" said Arumi. He still faithfully accompanied Ryanthi without complaining at all.
"Yes, of course. Your father is not a typical patient man" Ryanthi added. He put some stuff in and made the trolley full.
"But dad is a very nice guy. He's not as boring as big brother," Arumi chanted as she continued to push the trolley slowly and followed Ryanthi's slow pace.
"Darling!" Ryanthi. He then looked at Arumi.
"Just leave the trolley here. Come on, let's go downstairs!" take Ryanthi.
"What's there, Mom?" ask Arumi curiously.
"Suddenly I remember, if you need a new frying pan" Ryanthi replied. He walked ahead of Arumi to the ground floor, where there was a lot of household furniture.
Patiently, Arumi accompanied Ryanthi who had been busy choosing a frying pan. I don't know what distinguishes them, because according to Arumi everything looks the same. It makes no difference at all.
Over time, Arumi was bored.
"It is fitting that I do not want to accompany my shopping," Arumi lamented in her heart. He also took the initiative to look at other things that could eliminate his sense of boredom.
"Mom, I'll take a look there first, yes," pointed Arumi at a row of glasses and and a bottle of drinking water.
Ryanthi nodded without giving an answer or turning her head. He was still busy with a frying pan that made him feel confused.
Arumi also walked among the rows of beautiful glasses. Everything seemed so funny to him. His gaze was now fixed on a light blue mug. He then grabbed the mug and looked at it more closely.
There is nothing special about this mug. It looks plain without any pictures or anything. However, somehow because Arumi was so interested to see it.
He looked closely at the light blue mug. "What's so exciting about this mug?" he murmured in the heart. Arumi nodded slowly.
A moment later, Arumi put the mug back. However, his hand accidentally nudged the mug next to him until it almost fell.
It was fortunate that the mug had not fallen to the floor, because someone had caught it so deftly.
Arumi jerks. He closed his mouth which was almost suffocated in shock. He stared at someone who had helped him 'save' the mug off the floor.
Someone who is now staring back at him.
