Ryanthi: Sweet Cake, Bitter Reality

Ryanthi: Sweet Cake, Bitter Reality
Remembering Arya

Arumi was brushing her teeth when her phone rang twice. The girl also sped up her activities in front of the sink, and she immediately ended her teeth rubbing.

The thought of the cellphone that had been lying next to the white ceramic sink. It has become a habit of Arumi, he always brings his cellphone into the bathroom.

The phone screen was wiped. Three missed calls. Two calls from Edgar and one call from Mr. Charming.

Arumi smiled knot. He put his phone back. He continued his activities in the bathroom by washing his face.

A moment later, Arumi grabbed the white towel hanging in place. After that, he came out of the bathroom.

Laying out the pillow neatly, apparently Arumi was ready to sleep. Arumi let her long hair loose just like that. The hair covered his back and part of his shoulders, which that night was just a small rope from his white tank top.

Arumi immediately climbed onto the bed with her emerald sheets. He immediately hid under the thick blanket and began to close his eyes, even though the drowsiness had not yet come to greet him.

Sleeping with anxiety, the girl just flips her body left and right.

He kept trying to close his eyes.

However, just as he was about to start completely closing his eyes, suddenly his phone rang again.

Immediately, Arumi pulled back the thick blanket and grabbed the phone he had placed on a small table next to his bed. A round table with a small family photo.

It was a call from Mr. The charming that made Arumi instantly smile with such a perfect arch. He immediately shifted the green icon on his phone screen.

"Have you slept?" there was the typical sound of an adult man from across the street. A familiar voice in Arumi's ear. A sudden voice presented a whirring of wind in his heart.

"No... uh I mean ... not yet ..." always, Arumi again felt groggy. It feels like he really wants to get rid of his stupidity, when it must be faced with this man.

"What's wrong?" ask Arumi. He was trying to be calm.

"none. I just want to make sure that the one who replied to my message this afternoon was not a robot" said Moedya calmly.

Arumi laughed softly. Moedya is a unique man according to him. It turns out that in addition to his appearance, his style of speech does feel so 'something' for him.

"So?" ask Arumi.

"So what?" Moedya asked back.

"I'm not lying, am I?" reply Arumi. "This is my number and I'm talking to you myself. I'm not a Japanese robot" Arumi continued. He was still trying to impress casually while talking to Moedya.

"Your name is Arumi?" ask Moedya again.

"Yes. Is there a problem with that name?" Arumi asked back.

Moedya laughed softly. "Of course not. That's a very pretty name" Moedya praised. "So ... What's your nickname?" ask Moedya again.

Arumi was silent for a moment.

"As far as you. Arum or Rumi or ...." Arumi muttered softly. He went back to silence.

"Or what?" moedya asked again with a slightly awkward tone in Arumi's ears.

"Eitherway. I forgot what to say," Arumi twitched. He repeatedly patted his own forehead for his stupidity.

The mood was quiet for a moment. An obvious awkwardness still enveloped the two of them. Especially with what Arumi felt. He was so misbehaved that even then, Moedya was not in front of him.

What's wrong with that guy? Arumi doesn't even know her. However, the man had caught his attention enough.

"What do you like about Arumi?" the sound broke the silence between the two of them.

"In what way?" ask Arumi.

"anything. It's up to you" replied Moedya.

Arumi thought for a moment. He was confused what to answer, but in the end he remembered something.

"I .. I love the outdoors. I love the sky, the wind, a flock of birds flying in the sky .. I love sunsets and also the night sky ...." Arumi was silent for a moment. After that, he laughed softly. "I think it's too much?" muttered the girl with the dimple.

"Not really," Moedya replied immediately.

"I hope ..you also like the lake," Moedya said in a half-whispering voice.

Arumi laughed softly. "Surely," he answered. "You yourself? What do you like?" Arumi asked back.

Moedya was silent again. All that is heard from him is the sound of his voice*****breath only.

Arumi was silent too. He was still waiting for what Moedya would tell him.

"I like pretty women. That was definitely the most appropriate answer," Moedya replied in a calm tone. "Do I have to ask Keanu for permission if I want to take you away?" tanyakanya.

Instantly Arumi threw his body onto the soft pillow. A big smile was on his face. Why was he so flowery when he heard such a question?

"Are you scared of my brother?" asked Arumi in a half-little tone.

"Of course not!" moedya. "But Keanu is my friend, and I am .. I hope he allows me to take you for the wind."

"If you ask her carefully .. I think ...." Arumi did not continue his words anymore. For a moment he thought. He seemed so hopeful that Moedya would take him away.

"I mean ... You must have known my sister well, right?" arumi. He must keep his image in front of Moedya.

Moedya just muttered softly. He also smiled wryly. He knew that Arumi was paying more attention to him.

Tonight, Moedya was in her own room. Room with nuances and trinkets that very displays Moedya's identity as someone who is eccentric.

Ranum, ask him to sleep at home tonight. He became a little spoiled due to the effect of the birthday cake that Moedya had given him.

The night continued to creep towards the peak of his silence. It was as if there was no life out there. While Moedya was still cool standing alone on the third floor of his house.

Usually, Moedya slept in the workshop. He also has two friends who help him there. They also often sleep in his workshop, because it is usually at hours like this, Moedya is still cool to gather with his friends.

For a moment, Moedya thought of his late father, whom he loved so much. She misses the man who used to have the same hairstyle as her.

Moedya was indeed much closer to Arya when compared to Ranum. The thoughtful and calm attitude that Arya has, he is more able to accept than the hard attitude of Ranum to him.

However, it does not mean that he does not feel close to his mother. As an only child, Moedya has been advised by Arya to always be able to take care of Ranum well.

I don't know how long he hasn't been on a pilgrimage to his father's grave. His busyness in the workshop, made him forget the task of his service.

"Juna ..." came a voice from behind.

Moedya also looked. He smiled at the beautiful woman who was walking towards him. Ranum clenched the top of his kimono because the air was quite cold up there.

"Mother? Why aren't you asleep?" ask Moedya. He continued to cast his gaze upon the mother who was now standing next to him.

"Mom can't sleep" replied Ranum. He looked back at his only son who was still staring at him.

"Why do you look so similar to your late father?" ask Ranum. He then turned his gaze straight ahead.

"Because I want to follow in the footsteps of the father who has managed to get a great woman like Mom" said Moedya. He seemed to answer Ranum's question casually.

Ranum laughed softly. He glanced back at his eldest son with his beautiful eyes. A sweet flick that he used to always aim for Arya.

"Your father once said, if he would never find another woman like Mom," replied Ranum.

Moedya who was still staring at the mother could only smile knots. It is true, all this time he has never found the character of Ranum in any girl who has ever been close to him.

"What if I find him?" challenge Moedya.

Ranum laughed softly. He looked back at his son.

"Bring her in front of Mom. I will immediately make him as a son-in-law," replied Ranum with great confidence.

Moedya clucked in amazement at the straightforward answer from the mother. He laughed too softly.

"I don't know if it's pressure or motivation for me" he said with the remains of a laugh on his face.

"That's a challenge for you!" answer Ranum. "Mom sure if you wouldn't feel pressured by such a simple thing."

"According to Mom, I'll never feel overwhelmed by my own feelings?" ask Moedya.

Ranum stared fixedly at the man who was a duplicate of the husband. He can feel the presence of Arya very real, in the mere son of his puppet. He was sure that even Moedya would be able to live his life wisely as Arya.

Despite all the 'mischief' they have done as young people, there is a lot of meaning to life that they get from it all.

"Don't make the feeling of love a burden" Ranum said with a maternal smile.

A moment later, Ranum continued his words. "Your father was an amazing man. He lives in a very simple way. He doesn't like to complicate things. His thinking is too straight.

However, his self-esteem was so high. He always felt that a man was unfit to receive a gift from a woman, and we had a big fight over something like that," Ranum smiled wryly when remembering his moments together with Arya at that time.

"Is Mom too powerful over you?" a very heavy-sounding question from the mouth of a Moedya.

Ranum laughed softly. However, there was a hue of bitterness in the motion of his lips. "Mother is used to living independently. Mom arranged everything by herself. Sometimes I forget that Mom is a woman. However, everything changed after I met your father again ...."

"Your father was a bookworm. She is very smart, she looks very mature .. and Mom ... I miss her so much right now ...." Ranum bowed his face.

Ten years ago, he was living a lonely life. After Arya's death, Ranum focused more on his career. He also managed to raise Moedya alone, until the only son of his puppet has now grown with a tremendous appeal, which increasingly resembles the father with all the uniqueness in him.

Moedya is not Aryan. They are similar but not the same. Moedya also had to live with his own character despite the fact that he idolized his late father.

Moedya should have a much better life story than Arya, because she has a mother who will always be around her, supporting her with all the best prayers and wishes for her. Of course, even though Ranum is not a gentle mother like Ryanthi.
