CHAPTER 43. First Failure in the Operating Room Saved Patients

Tala approached Geya and looked at Geya with a sharp look that made Geya very frightened.

Davka's father, who saw his son staring at his nephew, looked sharply at Geya, who had lowered his head, crashing his hands.

"What's really going on?" Tala asked coldly to Geya.

Geya further lowered her head and answered Tala's question with only a headband.

"What really happened to Geya?" Ask Tala by raising her tone to Geya.

Davka's father, who saw that his son was being carried away with emotion, immediately patted Tala on the shoulder to calm her down.

"Tala calm down first you don't make Geya scared like that look at her shaking so much." Davka's father reminded.

Tala just kept quiet and looked at Geya who was looking down coldly and did not dare to look at her.

Tala believes the incident occurred related to the arrival of Geya.

"You just came to the mansion for the first time after grandfather stayed at the mansion of mom and dad. And your arrival makes a big deal."

Geya raised her head with teary eyes while shaking her head. "Would you think I was the cause of trouble or my presence would always cause trouble" Geya said, feeling very hurt when she heard Tala's words.

Tala just kept quiet, "Geya, don't listen to your cousin you know it's not okay." Davka's father's words calmed his nephew down.

"Don't pretend and don't put on that pitiful face of yours. Too drama, why are you hurt by my words." Tala said coldly.

Geya bit her lips and held back her cries. "Do you think I want to make grandfather like this. I love Grandpa as much as Tala loves him." Geya said with tears.

"I don't want to make a grandpa like this. It's not my fault it's not my fault. Why are you blaming me." Geya Saying.

"Because you are to blame." Tala said coldly and sarcastically.

Geya raised her head in shock the words Tala said were indeed the words her mother often said to her. But, when Tala told him directly Geya's heart was very broken and very sad to hear it.

"Nabastala Affandra Werawan you should be quiet and sit quietly. This is not the time to blame each other and we should pray with the operation Eve underwent and handled." Said Davka's father.

Tala who heard Davka's father's words by calling his full name immediately shut up and sat down.

If Davka's father had called him that way it means Davka's father was holding back his emotions not to be angry with him and he was too late according to Davka's father that Tala could understand.

Indeed, during this time Davka's father never angry with him and loved him very much but that does not mean the thing he did was all right but usually Davka's father will calm and remind him with full tenderness.

Tala has great respect and affection for Davka's father and wants to be like Davka's excellent and wise father as a husband to Dhara's mother and father to Tala.

Inside the operating room that has been running for two hours Eve tried to save Grandpa Werawan but the more he tried the heart of Grandpa Werawan weakened.

Doctor Raka who saw Eve was full of remembrance and worried face immediately calmed down. "Focus Dr. Elakshi and get back to being as calm as ever." Doctor Raka said.

Eve refocuses herself on saving Werawan's assisted grandfather and the cooperation of her fellow colleagues.

"Doctors have decreased blood pressure." Speak to an anesthetic doctor who monitors.

Eve looked at the monitor screen deftly Eve tried to stay focused on doing what she had to do but everything just happened when the rhythm of the monitor sounded loud with one long tone.

Eve looked towards the monitor and Werawan's grandfather. "No grandpa has to hang on." Said Eve wanted to continue again but was immediately detained by doctor Raka because it was not possible to save him.

"What are you doing Doctor Raka. I have to save him immediately." Said Eve staring at Doctor Raka with her blank look.

"Grandfather must endure." Said Eve.

"Stop the patient's doctor can't be saved." Doctor Raka said.

Anesthetic doctors just kept quiet this time they failed to save the patient and this patient is the founder of this hospital.

"Take me off. Doctor please pay attention and monitor again the patient's condition immediately and tell me." Said Eve without hearing the words of the doctor Raka.

Doctor Raka and the few people there looked towards Eve with concern. "Please doctor Elakshi stop. The patient can no longer be saved." Doctor Raka said.

But Eve still did not want to listen to what was said by the doctor Raka to make the doctor Raka had to raise the tone of his voice and call with a familiar name. "Eve stop it."

Eve looked at Doctor Raka with teary eyes and then rewinded her body while smothering her mouth in disbelief.

For the first time Eve failed in saving the lives of patients she handled while she was in the operating room and the patient herself was a person she loved very much.

"Behold I beg you." Raka's doctor said softly staring at Eve.

Eve got up from her seat and immediately walked out of the operating room. Doctor Raka who saw Eve's departure immediately told the doctor and nurse to immediately finish and take care of it.

Eve moved her legs firmly with her blank look.

The door of the operating room opened so that everyone's attention was distracted and saw Eve coming out.

Tala immediately approached Eve and looked at Eve deeply and Tala's hand held her arm. "How's grandpa doing?" Tanya Tala demands answers and reassurance from Eve.

Eve lifted her head and stared into her husband's eyeball which looked slightly flushed.

Eve releases Tala's hand which holds both of her arms.

Then Eve's eyes looked at Davka's father and Eve saluted Davka's father as well as the routine he did when he finished the operation then he would give respect first.

"Mr Arjuna Like Werawan has died at 4:23 pm on Thursday 10 February 2022." Said Eve with her blank look.

Davka's father who heard the words from his son-in-law was very surprised and walked closer to Eve who was staring blankly.

"You've worked hard and tried your best to thank me." Said Davka's father while patting Eve's shoulders.

"Don't feel guilty all the way." Eve shook her head slowly and cried hysterically so Davka's father had to hug Eve.

Doctor Raka came out of the operating room shortly after Eve came out to witness how empty Eve's gaze and voice were stating the passing of the owner of this hospital.

Dr. Raka knows how much Mr. Werawan means to Eve as a grandfather.

Davka's father wiped his tears out and held back his sobs while patting Eve on the shoulder.

Tala immediately stepped her feet away from the operating waiting room her heart was very broken and her mind was also very blurred which Tala currently wanted was to calm herself down.

Geya who saw Tala's departure just stared at Tala's back while she shed tears.

There was a sense of relief felt by Geya because the person who listened to what she said to Eve was no longer there and there was also a sense of sadness. Between the two tastes of sadness dominates because of the passing of Werawan's grandfather.

Eve who cried as she pleased immediately released Davka's father's embrace to her. "Dad, forgive Eve." Eve looked at the face of her in-laws who had begun to age because of age but still remained the good looks possessed by Davka's father.

"Don't tell me like that my son-in-law you've done your best. Don't blame yourself this is already his destiny."

Eve shook her head, "why this should happen and why my first failure to save a patient should be grandfather." Sobs Eve who feels that she is currently useless.

"Why father, why me. I. This hand.I have failed father." Say Eve.

"My son Eve don't be like this, if you're like this then you'll make grandfather very sad because you blame yourself for his passing."

"Grandfather will always be with us, grandfather will take care of us from above. Don't blame yourself." Said Davka's father.

"You're why you're not dead." Geya spoke fiercely to Eve as she tearfully stared hatefully at Eve.

"Geya keep your words from speaking like that. Eve is sister-in-law's cousin all it's her way don't blame anyone." Advice from Davka's father.

Geya fell silent at the words of Davka's father and cried as she pleased.

"My son-in-law I have to tell this news to your mother and your brother they must be very worried. You clean yourself up and go home to the mansion. Grandpa's gonna be buried tomorrow." Said Davka's father who immediately left the operating waiting room.

Before Davka's father leaves Davka's father tells Eve's bodyguards and her guards to keep Eve tight so that nothing happens with Eve.

Indeed, at this time Davka's father was also very worried about Eve's condition, especially Eve's emotions were very shaken by the failure of the operation performed for the first time.

"Please keep my son-in-law from leaving him alone." Said Davka's father.

"And you immediately bring Geya back to the mansion of her father and mother and tell this news to the big family."

After giving orders Davka's father went into the ward where the first wife of his son and also his wife were.

Before entering Davka's father took his breath slowly but very heavily.

Adya's outpatient room door opens showing Davka's smiling father staring at the person occupying the ward.

"Dad." Call Adya, Dhara's mother is in the bathroom.

"Dad how's grandpa doing?" Ask Adya anxiously. "Is the operation not finished yet?" Tanya Adya was impatient.

Davka's father simply gave his smile to his first son-in-law.

"Dad why smile so, yes dad is very sweet when smiling and right it makes mom fall in love with dad." Adya said trying to joke and worry about the anxiety she felt let alone her mind said no.

"Where's your mother?" Ask Davka's father who did not see his wife's whereabouts who was not in his daughter-in-law's ward.

"I'm here, baby. Honey is my operation over or not? How's dad doing?" Ask Dhara's mother who just came out of the bathroom.

"Sit down first." Pinta Davka's father and Dhara's mother are very confused.

Adya was starting to feel very uncomfortable. "Dad say this isn't what Adya thinks it is, is it?" Adya's question looked towards Davka's father as well as Dhara's mother.

Davka's father holds Dhara's mother and Adya's hands. "He's gone away from us." Said Davka's father softly.

Adya covered her mouth with both hands in disbelief that what she was thinking and what Davka's father said was a fact.

Dhara's mother held Davka's father's hand to confirm again what Davka's father said was the truth and Davka's father was not joking.

"Dear be serious." Said Dhara's mother.

Davka's father knew this would be the response of his wife. "It is the truth that Arjuna Like a Werawan has returned to the hands of God."

Adya shook her head while smothering her mouth with both hands. The tears of Adya and Dhara's mother continue to flow like a river.

"My son-in-law calm yourself down lest your condition decline." Said Davka's father.

Davka's father endured his grief and the tears that forced him out of his father's departure, but Davka's father had to be strong for the sake of his son, wife and two daughters-in-law.
