Sister of Inpar Malang

Chapter16 (Come Home)

POV Lilis

I got back from the hospital yesterday. After breakfast, I was told to take a break in my room. Father said, I should not go to school first, because I have to check the mental condition due to the event, by undergoing psychotherapy.

This thought suddenly recalled what Brother Devan said in the hospital yesterday. The man requested that he be in charge of the fetus I was carrying. He wants to marry me.

There was a knock from outside. I walked to the door and opened it. For a moment I was silent to see the person who had knocked on my door. Until Kak Devan's voice calls out of this inertia.

"Came on!" call him a little tight.

"Y-yes. What's up, brother?" I'm a little dazed.

"Can I come in?" His voice is soft now.

I kept quiet and didn't answer. Suddenly remembered that disgusting incident*, because it happened in this place, in my own room. It seems like Brother Devan is reading my uncomfortable moves.

"Let the door open. I know what you're worried about."

Shifted the body to the side, let the man in, then I followed behind him. Door left open. I sat on the bed, while he pulled the study chair and then placed it in front of me, so we sat facing each other.

I feel awkward with him. Dare not to look at the face of Kak Devan, set his eyes anywhere origin not on him.

"Have you thought of the answer? If you can have to be fast, before your stomach gets bigger," demanded Kak Devan.

My eyes were straight at him. "I'm .. not yet," I replied slowly shaking my head.

"Lilis, think of your sister's marriage, think of your parents' good name, think of the child's life in your stomach after she was born, and think of yourself as well. Don't you want to save your sister's household, or do you want Evan to be in charge of marrying you?"

I shook my head tight.

"Maybe you think this seems pushy, and impure. But, I have really loved you since I lived here. If you don't believe, that's okay. Let time prove." Brother Devan looked at me in the shade, and gently. Not with a face as usual.

"But, I-I"

"I know you don't love me yet. It's okay, let's walk with time. I'll try to make you love me."

"Not that, brother!" I said a little loud. "Not that. I'm dirty, I'm not perfect, I don't feel right. There are many women out there who are more worthy and can make Big Brother happy." I lowered my voice, looking at him with eyes that began to condense.

"Do you think there is a perfect human being without flaws? Show me where the hell is that guy? One over. Can you guarantee my happiness if I marry a woman other than you?"

Brother Devan said casually but firmly. His legs were crossed, his hands were put in his pants pocket. His face was flat with his eyes glaring sharply at me.

Instantly I was immediately shriveled. His aura was really very pressing. I lowered my head. Staring at my own toes seemed more attention-grabbing, but my brain and hearing were still focused on it.

"Every human being has his own shortcomings and advantages, so do I. Our job as partners is to complete those imperfections with each other."

"Lilis, look me in the eye!"

His flat face turned friendly, his gaze looking at me softly. I obeyed him, raising my head to look into his eyes. There was a glint of seriousness in his eyeballs.

"If I covered up your shortcomings, would you cover up my shortcomings? If I accept you for who you are, will you accept me for who I am? There is no perfect person in this world. Will you be a complement to my life to be perfect?

You may not be perfect, but you will always be you. You are you, and I accept you for who you are. I hope you are the opposite to me. Is there anything you doubt?"

I bite my lips hard. Holding back the sobbing that was about to come out of his lips, because of his words that seemed to insinuate my heart.

Yes, there are perfect people in this world. Of course I will accept all the shortcomings and advantages of my own partner. Of course I also accept what my partner is later. But you're too good for me, brother, my mind screams.

I closed my eyes, filled my lungs with oxygen, calmed down to face Devan, then opened my eyes slowly.

"thank you. But give me a little more time, brother. I beg you," I said.

"Okay, I'll give you a little more time. Now you have to rest a lot, there is still a therapy schedule, right? Don't get too tired" he said, rubbing the top of my head.

"Thank you."

Brother Devan walked towards the door, before he came out he stopped. Then he said without looking back.

"I'm sure soon you'll open your heart to me." Then it disappeared behind the closed door.

As if squeezing the chest. All you have to know is that I have opened my heart to you.

The atmosphere of the house is back. Dad left for the factory, Kak Devan returned to the office, and mom kept an eye on the minimarket again. I'm at home by myself. People who used to clean the house have also come home from earlier, after completing their work.

I sat in the living room, waiting for Dad to pick me up to do a therapy schedule. It is better to watch television while eating snacks to eliminate boredom.

The sound of the door being knocked. Who's coming home at this hour? Isn't the therapy schedule still three hours away? I'd better take a look, it's not good for guests to wait so long.

As soon as the door opened, I was surprised to see who the guest was standing in front of the door of the house. Unconsciously my body took a few steps back. Tremors immediately attacked my body.

Why did Evan come here? Why should it be in a quiet house? How'this?

"How are you, Lilis? I'm sorry I just got to see you."

"Sorry what is necessary? Are you looking for a father or a mother? They're not at home. You can come back after they get home."

I subconsciously called him with your word. Usually I would call him brother-in-law or Evan's brother. But not with now.

He was silent for a moment, looking blankly at me. Then he pulled back his face.

"No! I want to talk to you. Can we talk to you both here?" ask her with hope.

"I-I can't. There's something important I need to do. Maybe next time." I was targagap again.

"I beg. It won't take long."

This is the second time I can see my brother-in-law pleading. Hey, where's anybody pleading with a flat face. I'll just agree. Don't be rash, because I'm alone now. I keep trying to keep my distance from him.

We sat on the living room sofa far apart, sitting at each end of the sofa. I'll call someone to come home soon.

How do I contact an outsider? Must find the right reason, so that he does not suspect.

"Let me make you a drink first."

"No need to bother. Just sit back."

His words successfully made the new me stand back to sit again.

Groping on my side, there was something stuck in the pocket of my pants. Put a palm into it, ah, it's a cell phone. Incidentally, there are times when it is really needed.

My face was still facing the other direction, pretending to look around, but my eyes occasionally glanced towards the phone. Although vibrating, I still use my fingers to shift, looking for a phone menu to call anyone if that can come now.

It worked! The call was connected, but baby I can't talk to him. I let the call stay connected, so that the people there hear my conversation with brother-in-law.

"Can you get to the point?" I asked him first, because he just kept looking at me.

"First I want to apologize to you for all my past actions. Second, I decided to take responsibility for you. So I'm gonna marry you. Accept my proposal, Lis."

"I can't!" quickly answer.

"Look, we're out of here, just the two of us. Go as far as you want. There we built a small family with our son" he said, still shameless.

I shook my head with a mocking grin. Really don't understand the contents of his head.

"How can you think like that, when a wife loves you so much? Maybe you can easily leave it, but not with me. He's my real brother. I can't hurt her."

He just kept quiet, flinching. His face showed no expression at all. Or maybe I'm less careful reading his facial expressions.

"I beg you, return to Brother Laras. He loves you so much. Get your relationship back together." This time I pleaded with hope.

"I can't. I can't let you carry the burden alone. I'm responsible for your pregnancy."

"Who said he bore the burden alone? I'll be in charge of her pregnancy. Not you!"

Someone suddenly came and said out loud. Brother Devan, stand with eyes staring at the sharp brother-in-law. Why would he come at this time?

I saw a cell phone in my hand. Deflecting shocked eyes, it turned out to be Brother Devan whom I called through a mobile phone.

No different from me, sister-in-law's face was also shocked. It was just that it could still be covered with that flat face of his.

"What is the general manager of a reputable company here? Isn't this still working hours?" asked Devan in a low voice.

"I'm just going to my in-laws' house. Is there a ban?"

"There is a ban ...
