Chapter 42 (Car Sling)

Devan orders a taxi to the agreed-upon cafe with his old friend. It takes about 25 minutes to get there. 

"It looks like we got there too early" Devan said as soon as he got off the taxi. He saw his watch, at 09.45 WITA. It turned out to be 15 minutes earlier than the appointment time they met.

"That's okay, brother. That's better. Than the friend brother who has to wait for us, even we who feel bad."

"Yes, already. Let's just go in and find a seat."

This cafe happens to be all walls made of glass, which from the outside or from the inside can be seen. Lilis chose a seat that was near the window. Then Devan called the waiter to order a drink first, while waiting for his old friend.

Lilis saw two women standing outside the cafe. It was as if he had seen one of those women. The two women continued walking, and it turned out that they had both entered the same cafe as her.

"Sister!" Lilis poking Devan's arm. "It's like I've seen that woman, but where, huh? It's like the woman who was with Evan's sister, at the restaurant."

Devan looked in the direction Lilis pointed. "Yes, Lis. That's it!"

Then Devan saw a woman standing next to him again. 

"Freya!" he said with a surprised tone. 

Freya who heard his name called, immediately turned her eyes away. His eyes were round, it turned out that there was Devan and Lilis here. In a hurry Freya took the woman who was with her out of the cafe.

"We split up. If he is chasing you, he should be able to escape. Remember to keep your mouth shut!" freya's orders, which were taken by the woman.

Devan who saw the two of them like he was going to run away immediately stood up. He must figure out how Freya can be with the woman who gives the stimulant drugs in Evan's food.

"Lilis, you wait here! I have to go after them." Devan told Lilis.

Lilis nodded her head, so as not to delay Devan's departure from chasing them. After ensuring Lilis' safety, Devan goes after Freya and the woman.

Many pedestrians passed by, making Devan's pace so slightly blocked and stalled.

"Si4a! Why did you get to see them? I made a deal outside the resort. Absolutely si4l!" as Freya during her escape. 

Freya intends to cross the road, who knows can divert Devan's eyesight. Without seeing the signs, Freya just crossed the street. Twice the woman almost got hit by a car, if only the driver did not brake suddenly. 

The cries of panic also meant that people were road users, motorbike and car horns filled the road. Until the unexpected happens right in front of Devan's eyes. 

"Freya!" devan shouted as the incident unfolded quickly.

A black minibus car grazed Freya until she lay on the road. Devan immediately ran up to him, then helped him to sit down.

Freya grimaced with pain because her hands were blisters. It can also be seen that both of her knees were injured, as she was wearing a short knee-length dress. Possibly due to scratched asphalt when falling. Gratitude is not too bad.

All surrounded them both. Some were curious, some were just watching, some were taking pictures, but there was one man who approached them and asked the state of the victim anxiously. 

"How is he doing? Not badly hurt, are you?" ask her anxiously. The man who was about the same age as Devan was wearing black, like a suit for a private driver.

"You're driving that black mini bus, huh? Your responsibility!"

Some people begin to riot, provoked emotions to judge the perpetrator. But soon subsided once the perpetrator was willing to take responsibility.

"Yes, Sir. I will be responsible. It's best to lift this into my car. Let it be taken to the hospital to be treated," said the perpetrator with a frightened face.

Devan let the men immediately get Freya into the man's car. He looked over when someone patted his shoulder.

"Came on!"

"Is Brother okay?" asked Lilis anxiously.

"I'm fine."

"Alhamdulillah." Lilis breathed a sigh of relief. "From a distance I saw a crowd on the side of the road. People said they got hit by a car. I'm afraid it's Brother. Thank goodness it wasn't."

"Yes, that's getting stuck in Freya's arms."

"Freya?" 

"Ah, yes! Let's take him to the hospital!"

Freya and Lilis did not speak to each other at all. Unlike the women, in the front seat the men even chatted with each other. Freya and Lilis so can find out from their chat, if the man is named Ipang. A private driver from the owner of one of the famous restaurants.

"I'm Devan, who's pregnant behind that my wife, Lilis, and who accidentally grazed you it's Freya, my friend."

Lilis smiled back when she saw Ipang smiling through the rearview mirror in the car. In contrast to Freya who was pouting hearing the introduction from Devan. 

"Once again I apologize to Ms. Freya," said Ipang sincerely. 

Freya did not respond at all to the remarks from Ipang. Devan and Lilis were also silent, not responding to Ipang's remarks. However, it is also the fault of Devan and Freya who play a chase on the highway.

Ten minutes later, the car arrived in front of a nearby hospital. Lilis sees how the spoiled Freya, asks to be wedded by her husband. But Devan immediately calls a nurse to bring Freya a wheelchair. As a result Freya continued to put on a sullen face.

"I'm sorry, I only have this kind of money. If I may, I'll take it out when I get paid." Ipang gave a hundred thousand as much as two pieces, which was immediately rejected by Devan.

"Sister, I'm going to the toilet for a second, yeah," Lilis told Devan.

"Where is Freya?"

"There's inside. The doctor just came out after Freya's treatment."

"Where is that woman?"

"He escaped. I chased my acquaintance who was with the woman. In the middle of the road, he's got hit by a car."

Evan listened carefully. Then his eyes searched for the whereabouts of his sister-in-law. "Where's Lilis?"

"Toilet. It's been a while, but it hasn't come back."

"We'd better catch up with him. I hope nothing happens to him."

Freya's outpatient room door was opened violently by Fero. Then he approached Devan by pulling his shirt collar.

"When you chased Freya down the street, she almost got hit by a car. When can you stop getting Freya hurt?"

"Fero! I told you a long time ago that I don't have feelings for Freya. In my heart I have been filled with one person, Lilis, who is now my wife" Devan said. "Even you can't lie if you're interested in my wife, right?" devan was on target.

Fero's heart was like it had been hit by a thousand arrows. He's really upset. 

"Close your mouth! Don't be so damn ignorant! Get you out of here! Or I'll do the same to you through Lilis."

"There! He has something to do with it. Because he took Freya's happiness." Fero was really very angry and violent.
