Chapter 43 Freya Goes

POV Author

"What does it mean that I'm seizing Freya's happiness, brother?" asked Lilis sobbing. Devan did not answer. His hand wrapped around Lilis's shoulder, rubbed, to calm her down.

Evan himself was silent. He did not know the man called Fero at all, nor did he know of any problems. However he was as surprised as Lilis. How could the man conclude that Lilis was seizing Freya's happiness? 

Inside there Freya smiled cynically at the situation outside the half-opened door. This was seen by Evan. This time Evan believed what Laras said.

"It's nothing, honey. You won't take anyone's happiness. You just misunderstood." Devan was still trying to calm his little wife, when Lilis was still sobbing. He can't bear to see it.

Fero himself clenched both palms and tightened the jaws. His eyes met Lilis's eyes. Just for a moment, because Fero first cut off that view.

"You better get out of here! Don't let what I said just now, come true!" throw Fero away while turning around, go back into Freya's nursery.

No one knew that Fero's heart was actually hurt. He also wanted to embrace Lilis, then explained that her words just now were just a passing emotion. He's not really gonna do that.

"Let's get out of here! Let Fero take care of his sister. You also have to rest" Devan said gently, then took Lilis away from the place. Evan followed her from behind.

Arriving in front of the hospital, Evan takes Devan and Lilis home along with his car which is approved by the two of them.

Inside the nursery, Fero looked at Freya's condition, looking at her sister's forehead, hands, and knees. He has to get Freya out of here. Or they'll come back, then wonder about Freya's involvement. It could all be broken.

"You've gone out, haven't you?" asked Fero while sitting next to Freya who was sitting leaning on the head of the bed. "Now, we're getting out of here!"

Freya straightened her back. "Why now?"

"All because of your carelessness" said Fero. "They were suspicious. If we stay here, they can come back to investigate you."

"What about Elan?" ask Freya a little reluctantly.

"You're looking for another reason. You and him aren't official, are you? Think of it like pulling out a stick so that she feels deeper into you."

"I'm still not satisfied with meeting Devan. Nor has he avenged that woman." Freya's face turned gloomy.

Fero immediately gave a sharp look.

"Alright, alright. We're leaving now." Freya just let go. He was self-conscious, if this was indeed his fault for being too careless.

Now the three of them are already in Evan's car, with Evan driving himself, while Devan and Lilis are sitting on the passenger bench.

In the car, their brains are getting heavier thinking about everything that has happened. There are many questions on each of them that they want to ask.

"Sir Devan! Can you tell me who Freya really is?" asked Lilis after she calmed down.

"He's Fero's brother." Devan breathed in before continuing again. "I think of him as my own brother. Because of his age he was in line with the barrel. Even his manner was also almost similar to that of your older brother. When we graduated, she expressed her feelings for me, but I refused." 

"Said Fero, out of heartache he went on vacation, to calm his mind. Then Fero followed Freya. After that, he left, disappeared, and there was no news. Until I finally met him, when you invited him to dinner" Devan continued.

"You say, he's almost similar to Laras? But the last time I met him wasn't like Laras. In fact she looks very mature and motherly," Evan argued.

"You know Freya too?" ask Devan.

"He's Freya Sukmajaya, isn't he? I looked inside the nursery. I'm sure, not a wrong look" Evan replied as he glanced at Devan and Lilis from the windshield of the car.

"Well, maybe Freya has changed. From his once spoiled, selfish, and childish behavior, he has now turned into an independent and mature person. That's a good change."

"of course. If the nature is not like that, how could Elan want to be in close contact with Freya, after the death of her former lover, Kak Indah?"

"Elan was in close contact with Freya?" devan asked a little surprised. That's good, the sign Freya has moved on from him.

"Yes. Freya's nature is almost the same as Kak Indah. And so, they're fast close."

"Where is my beautiful sister now?" ask Lilis.

"He died in an accident before their engagement."

"Oh. I'm sorry," lilis regretted feeling bad.

"What's wrong" Evan replied with a smile. Unknowingly Lilis wanted to talk to him. That was enough to make him happy.

"So you know each other?" ask Devan.

"Yes. Last time I met, I, Laras, Brother Elan, and Freya had lunch together. After that Laras forbade me from being close to Freya."

"Why does Laras forbid you to be close to Freya?" ask Devan again.

Devan stopped his car, because in front of the traffic light was red. He looked back before answering.

"When I was having dinner with Laras at the restaurant, there was a woman who teased me. Baras misunderstood, then we had a fight. On the way home, Laras saw a woman who teased me in a car with Freya."

"meaning?" evan asked while refocusing on driving, because the lights had changed to green.

"Women who put stimulants in your food were also with Freya. When I was chasing, he was already running away, so I chased Freya until he got hit by a car." Devan answered 

"I don't want to think bad, especially if I don't know Freya, but this is a bit suspicious" Lilis opinion.

"I didn't expect Freya to be involved with any of this. What's the motive?" wonder Evan.

Devan gave a suggestion. "Let's just say, tomorrow we go see him. He's got a minor injury, probably can go straight home from the hospital today." 

"If he's back from the hospital, where should we go?" ask Evan.

"At resort. Tomorrow we look in the room he's staying in?" Devan's answer almost made Evan brake suddenly, he was quick to slow down the speed of his car.

"Freya has also been staying at the resort?" asked Evan this time who was surprised. 

"Yes." Yeah."

"How could I not know? Does Elan know Freya's here too?"

"Something."

"Yes already. It's been decided, tomorrow we'll look at him in his room, stay over" Evan broke up. Devan and Lilis nodded their heads in response to the sign of agreement. 

They discussed very seriously, until without feeling it had arrived at the resort. Then split up to rest in each other's rooms. 

In the room, Evan calls Laras to let go of the longing. He was very anxious to rub his wife's stomach. Especially seeing the already bloated stomach of Lilis. Feeling unworthy of the child, even though he is his biological father.

Devan was in his room pampering his wife. He massaged Lilis' slightly swollen legs. After Lilis fell asleep, she sat down on the sofa, then opened the laptop. However, the company still has to run, even though it is on vacation. Otherwise, how could he spoil his wife's child, later?

The next day, Evan, Devan, and Lilis were in front of Freya's room. The three of them stood side by side, with Lilis in the middle while carrying the fruit parcel in her hand. 

Devan still remembers, when he came out of the room where Evan was affected by stimulants, he met Freya who was standing at the door, like a stalker. When asked, Freya immediately answered, then went into a room. That made his suspicion of Freya even greater. 

Devan took a deep breath and slowly threw it away before knocking on the door three times. No response from the room.

Devan looked towards the two people beside him, who were responded with a headband.

"Try knocking again!" evan.

"Yes." Yeah." Devan said, up to several beats, still the same as before. There was no response from the occupants of this room.

"Why hasn't it opened yet, huh? Are they not inside?" tanya Lilis was a little agitated. 

Lilis was already banned from joining, but basic stubbornness. Lilis kekeh wants to come along, because this concerns the Laras household. He was willing to succumb, suffer, and try to find a way out for the wholeness of his biological brother's household. This was even an outsider willingly willing to destroy.

"What's in Fero's room? He's staying here too, isn't he?" ask Evan.

"I don't know where he's in his room" Devan replied.

"Give it to me."

A few minutes later, Evan was informed by his employees. Information that made him very surprised. They're a step faster. It turns out that Freya and Fero have been away from this resort since yesterday.

Devan and Lilis were similarly shocked. It's a pity they failed to investigate Freya's involvement with women who tried to damage Laras and Evan's household.

"How now? There's absolutely no trace. Fero's number is also off," Devan lamented as he stroked his forehead, sitting with his back leaning against the sofa. Lilis rubbed Devan's shoulder to calm down.

They were already in Lilis and Devan's room. So that the conversation does not reach the hearing of others.

"Sister, I want to go home." This time it was Lilly who complained. 

Devan straightened his back, looking towards Lilis with a regretful look. He felt guilty, because he had given a bad vacation to his wife, especially in a pregnant condition like this.

"alright. We're going home tomorrow. Do you want to buy some souvenirs first?"

"Can?" Lilis's eyes twinkled.

"Of course I can."

"Yeah! Thank you, sister," Lilis cheered happily. 

He had imagined he would find unique items. Because when going with Fero at night, even though the scenery is beautiful with colorful lights, still not satisfied to see it.

This time it went with the husband, so it is more comfortable also safe of course. 

"My work here is done. I'll come home tomorrow too." Evan is hanging out in the chatter of Devan and Lilis.

"Just go home. Must be Laras needs you too. She's pregnant young, isn't she?" Devan Response.

"One more" said Evan. "I want to come with you guys to buy souvenirs for the house people. Can I?"
