Chapter 50 Chat in the Kitchen
"Am I interrupting?" A handsome but still single man at almost three heads, walked into the kitchen.
It was Elan who came. Laras and Lilis looked at him and then breathed a sigh of relief almost simultaneously. It feels like the heart is almost degenerate, when you hear someone coming. Afraid that the talk is coming.
"What do pregnant women do in the kitchen to last? Your husband's outside again waiting."
Laras confirmed his sitting, then neutralized his face. "We're taking off the kangen. Can women not have time? Is it only men who can hang out with their friends?"
"Yes, that's not what I mean, either" Elan replied a little clumsy. His finger scratched his non-itchy nape. His mind felt an uneasy premonition facing the two pregnant women in front of him.
"Keep you as men mind that? Do you as men never think that women also have saturation? We were fifteen minutes away from you." Laras still railed against his sister-in-law.
Elan raised both her hands up. "Wow! Waw! Kalem! I don't think it's like that."
"We're not going anywhere. We're just in the kitchen. Why do you guys have to fuss over trivial things?" The barrel still continues to smite Elan. When the heart is hot, it can slightly divert the sense of regret to hear the story of Lilis about Evan while in Bali.
"Geez! Why are pregnant women more violent than when they are on the moon?" Elan rubbed her head violently.
Lilis giggles to see Laras scolding Elan. Lilis knew that Laras' heart was hot because he was talking about Evan and Siska. Suddenly Elan comes, like offering up as her brother's impingement. Lilis did not want to let go of this moment.
Still holding back a laugh, Lilis tried to tear Laras and Elan apart. "Kak Laras, it's been. Don't be fired on Elannya. Poor thing. He's gonna be scared of having a wife." Although at the end of the sentence should be a little blasphemous Elan.
Elan glared at Lilis. "Well, whoa. You guys dare to play the crackle."
The three of them laughed. Enjoy a rare togetherness. Besides Elan is busy working, also Lilis who tomorrow will return to her husband's place.
"Excuse me!" This time the typical ayu woman of the village, with her body sembampai into the kitchen.
Laughter that had enlivened the kitchen immediately stopped. The face of the Barrel instantly turned sour. Elan has an ordinary face. Lilis still kept her face friendly.
"I'm sorry I want to take water for my mother, I want to take medicine." Siska stood in front of the three people who were sitting at the dining table in a slightly awkward manner.
The barrel stands, then walks towards the sink. Wash the glass before putting it on the glass shelf.
"Lis, I'm ahead first huh. Brother Elan said Evan was looking for me. First, Lis, Brother?" Without waiting for Lilis and Elan's response, Laras went straight out of the kitchen. When he crossed paths with Siska, he did not say hello at all.
Siska felt that Laras saw him with a dislike view, but he did not feel wrong to Laras. Maybe it was just his feelings, just so in Siska's mind.
"Please. The glass's on the shelf, the water's got a dispenser over there." Lilis pointed at the objects she mentioned with her hands.
Seeing Siska still in place, Lilis stood up, then led Siska to direct one by one where the glass and dispenser were located. The cheerful and friendly carrying of Lilis makes Siska's awkwardness less.
"Do you want plain water or warm water?" ask Lilis.
"Warm water only," Siska replied while filling the tall glass with half hot water and the other half room temperature water.
"Then, just bring a small flask into the room. So you don't have to go back and forth to the kitchen to get water for your mother. When it's over, just fill it in the kitchen."
Lilis picked up a flask of flasks inside the cupboard of the dish rack. Fill it with hot water, then hand it over to Siska.
Siska looked at the flask with a reluctant look. He was afraid that his master would be angry. Especially the one who gave it was Lilis. What is the status of Lilis in this house.
Elan who saw Siska was silent, a little annoyed. Then he said, "Take it. My mom won't scold you. Lilis in this house is like the youngest daughter. So no one will rebuke Lilis's actions in this house."
"Sister, you're better." Lilis glared at Elan.
"Thank you," said Siska as she picked up the flask.
"Sama-sama," Lilis replied with a friendly smile.
"Yes. Is there anything else you need?" ask Lilis kindly.
"No. Can I ask you a question?" Siska's voice sounded hesitant.
"Of course I can."
Elan did not respond too much to the chatter between Siska and Lilis. He picked up the glass in the middle of the dining table. Then fill it with water from the teapot that is also there. He lifted the glass towards his lips.
"You're married, you're pregnant, but your face looks so young. How can your face be so young? Looking around, it seems like you are still a teenager," asked Siska innocently.
Yep!
Elan put the glass on the table hard. If Elan wasn't a wise man, it would have been cracked. But Elan still knows the limits.
Lilis and Siska were obviously very shocked. Their shoulders were both flinched. Lilis even stroked her chest that was beating fast.
"It's none of your business. Don't miss!" elan said coldly
"I'm just asking." Siska replied with a stutter. His scarps under Evan's sharp gaze. "I'm sorry if my question offended you."
Lilis remained silent. Confused what to respond.
"It looks like your mother is waiting for her drinking water" Elan said, with a straight forward glance.
"I'm sorry, Lis." Siska said with regret. His eyes looked timidly at Elan.
"It's okay."
Siska hurriedly left the kitchen. He was truly regretful with his reckless nature that was hard to remove.
Lilis returned to her seat, drinking the remaining cold milk. Elan hurriedly comforted him. "You don't listen to Siska's talk, do you?"
"I'm nothing, brother. Don'worry. It's like this." Lilis smiled miris. He walked towards the sink to wash his glass.
"Other times if there's something like that to you, don't just shut up."
"I don't want to answer, Brother. If I look, Siska is the kind of person who cleats cleplos by the way. He prefers to talk honestly, but that is, can not find a smooth sentence. So it sounds rough on someone else's ear."
"Yes already is. You have been like that since before. Too kind. Next time don't give up too much."
"Yes, Brother. Come on ahead! I also have to prepare to go home to my mom and dad." Lilis tries to distract Elan. So as not to think too much about Siska's words just now.
In the afternoon, Mr. Arifin and Ms. Ratna said goodbye to go home. Lilis and Devan are also part of the party, as they will be staying at the house of Lilis' parents.
Elan also said goodbye. She wants to live in her own apartment, but is immediately forbidden by Ms. Maya.
"Everything gathers in this house. Do you want to separate yourself? You don't think we're family?" Bu Maya's face was made as bright as possible in front of her eldest son.
"Ma, I want to check the unfinished reports" said Elan. But that's the truth.
"Working here can. Evan just stayed here," persuaded Ms. Maya.
"There is a barracks here. Of course Evan accompanied his wife."
Mom Maya heard Elan keep answering her words. "That's why you got married. Let there be something you miss."
Elan sighed before responding to the woman who had given birth to her. "Well, you know for yourself, how am I?"
Suddenly a sneaky glint appeared in Bu Maya's eyes. "Stay here or Mama introduce with Mama's friend's child?"
"OKAY. Stay here" answered Elan quickly. He relented. More precisely giving up. Rather than be betrothed to a woman he has not known at all. Especially her mother's friend. The handsome man was still single and went straight into his room.
