Chapter 52 All the Way

Silence becomes a travel companion while heading to the office. Siska felt like she was the only one in the car, with no one else. Occasionally the girl moves her eyeballs to glance at the driver, as well as the prospective boss at her place of work.

Evan himself was ordinary. He felt that whether or not Siska was not a problem for him. As long as it doesn't interfere with his relationship with Laras, he won't do anything to Siska. But Evan is convinced that Siska will not do that, because he already knows who to side with.

Khem!!

Siska cleared her throat to remove the awkwardness, but Evan paid her no heed. Seeing no reaction from Evan, Siska was forced to speak directly.

"Master!" call Siska.

Evan was silent. In his hearing, Siska's voice was like the hum of a fly. Evan really likes calmness, except that's Lilis. But that was then, now he had to bury Lilis name and learn to replace it with Laras name. 

"Mr Evan, I'm sorry. Because of me, you have to drive me too."

"Hm." That was Evan's answer. 

For people who know Evan, it's a sign he feels mediocre, no problem. But unlike Siska who just met Evan. He thinks Evan doesn't like him a bit.

"Then I'll just get down here."

Evan frowned hearing it. Looking at Siska from the tail of her eyes, Evan was a little annoyed. Sighs before saying, "What do you mean?"

"Master feels uncomfortable isn't he, I'm here?" siska asked hesitantly.

"Based on what am I uncomfortable?"

"Master just shut up." In Siska's heart, other than being silent, did Evan have no other expression than a flat expression?

"I am like this. Better to be quiet. I don't like noise."

Siska felt that Evan's words sounded like he didn't mind, but still he felt bad. Siska thinks maybe Evan is a stiff, cold, and stay cool person. For the latter, it seems like reality.

"But–"

"We're one way and working in the same place. Is that enough? Now let me concentrate on driving."

Siska nodded her head obediently. Than to be sprayed again.

Siska secretly steals a look at Evan's face. Handsome face, sharp eyes, a tapered face with firm jaws. Do not forget the sound of baritones that can tempt women. If she was a womanizer, I don't know how many women would willingly be under her.

Siska doesn't know that Evan was a woman.

Not long after, Evan stopped his car on the side of the road. Siska was confused.

"Why stop?"

"Down! You walk ten meters from here. You understand that, don't you?"

"Oh. Aye." Yeah."

"Don't be late!"

Siska rushed out of Evan's car after saying thank you. Then he saw Evan's car slowly leaving him. Siska looked around before walking towards the office, raising her fist upwards.

"Siska's spirit!"

Lilis and Devan prepare to travel back to Devan's residence, which is now Lilis's residence as well. They both say goodbye to Mr. Arifin and Ms. Ratna. 

"You guys be careful on the road! Call us if there's anything, and also if you've arrived."

Mr. Arifin hugged Devan, then directed his mouth near the ears of his daughter-in-law. "You owe me one story, but I know you can solve this problem. Please don't let anything happen to Lilis!"

"I understand, Father."

Ms. Ratna and Lilis looked at the in-laws and daughter-in-law in wonder. What else are they fussing about? It's always like that. Near quarrels, far miss each other.

Finished goodbye, Devan and Lilis enter the car that Devan used to go to the office. The car came last night, which was brought by the office driver. Devan called him yesterday while he was at Evan's house.

In the car, Lilis sat down while leaning on Devan's shoulder. A growing pregnancy makes her body tired quickly. Especially the waist, it often feels painful and achy.

He suddenly remembered the moment he fell into the pool.

"Yes." Yeah." Devan lowered his head.

"I'm still curious about the person who pushed me into the pool while in Bali. Is brother trying to find out about this?" lilis asked without raising her head. His index finger is playing Devan's shirt button.

Devan's face turned flat. 

Lilis could see the mood change from Devan's face. That regret must have come again. Lilis hurriedly changed the subject.

"Forget it. Maybe it's because I'm pregnant, so it's a little sensitive."

"I'm sorry "

"It's okay, brother." Lilis slipped all five of her fingers between Devan's fingers. Giving a calming smile.

Seeing Lilis smile, Devan tightened the grip of both of their hands. The size of Lilis' tiny palm, as if it was indeed created fit for her.

After Devan calmed down Lilis chose to enjoy her journey by looking out the glass. Devan himself secretly sends a message to one of his confidants to immediately find where Freya and Fero are.

It has been almost two weeks Siska worked in Pak Rifan's office as an office girl. Siska was quite happy. Prestige was not a problem for him. He has a good salary and a good job. The hope is simple, hopefully can make his mother happy in the future. 

In the office of all the employees no one knows that Siska lives with their boss. Siska also did not want to expose him, afraid of causing envy and instead becoming a problem in the future.

After the first day of work with Evan, the second day and so on, he left early using public transportation. 

After Siska left for work, Bi Tirah approached Bu Maya. He wants to cancel his treatment. Last night Bu Maya said that she wanted to finance Bi Tirah treatment, until she recovered.

"Bi, let's get going!" take Miss Maya. They should now go to the hospital to check the condition of Bi Tirah. And find out what treatment is suitable for him.

"Mom, we better not go."

"Loh! Why the hell?" asked Maya in surprise.

"If possible, I just want to leave Siska to Maya. Let me enjoy what God has given me, as I draw closer to Him."

"Bi Tirah what the hell is this talking about? Siska must be sad."

"It's nothing, Mom. I have always remained sane and survived for the sake of Siska, so that Siska is not lonely living in this world itself. Moreover, his father did not care at all. Had there been a good person on Siska's side, it would have been enough to calm me down."

"Auntie must stay put for Siska's sake."

"I'm not really strong, Mom. I miss my parents. I beg! I'm picking Siska, yeah, Mom."

"All right then. I definitely take care of Siska like looking after my own child. Siska's a nice and fun boy. Now Auntie just sunbathe in the park. Hours like this, good for sunbathing." Bu Maya pushes Bi Tirah's wheelchair towards the park.

In the heart of Bi Tirah feel lucky, because Siska does not know about the two employers who want to finance his treatment until healed. So Bi Tirah did not have to bother explaining.

Every holiday, Siska must fill it by helping clean the entire house, even though she has worked in the office. He's self-conscious enough, already allowed to stay here, there's no way he's just a foot-barge, a free ride.

"Siska, it's Saturday. You're not in college?" ma'am Maya asked as Siska was cleaning up dust on objects in the display cabinet.

Siska stopped her work. "The class's only starting in two weeks, ma'am. Early this morning I sent the registration papers."

"Oh, so. Good though. You haven't had breakfast, have you? There's breakfast first.

"Later on, Mom. It's a responsibility, it's over soon."

"Don't dawdle. It'll be noon hunting. Not breakfast anymore."

"Hehe. Okay, Mom."

After Bu Maya leaves, Siska sees many cobwebs in the ventilation hole of the living room that is on top of an iron curtain. It was too high up, Siska was forced to climb onto a chair, and began to carefully clean the row of ventilation holes.

On the other hand, Elan was descending the stairs walking towards the living room. Then he stood behind Siska at a distance. He got word from his college friend who he said accidentally impregnated one of the female employees in his office.

"What?!" shouts Elan spontaneously.

Siska who did not know there was Elan behind was shocked. "Eh, dislodged!" yell Siska talkative. 

Elan looked towards Siska who was standing on the chair. His footing wavered, making his chair shake. The next second Siska fell backwards.
