The Part 88
Pak Wahyu's funeral is over, the mourners return to their respective homes only the nuclear family is still gathered.
Novia chooses to be alone in her room, her suffering is too deep to make her unable to accept the departure of her father.
Unlike the case with Ms. Ratih, although she looks fragile but she is still trying to show her children that she is fine.
All family members gather in the living room, comforting and strengthening each other.
"Well, mama's okay, right?" ask Riska with a worried mimic.
"Yes, mama's fine, but your sister Novia seems to be devastated."
Ratih actually worried about the state of Novia, the youngest child was indeed very close to his father, Novia certainly felt so lost.
"Yes, it looks like Novia is very bad mah, let her calm down first" said Riska
They then discussed the plan of piety for Pak Wahyu, the results of their decision will be carried out even forty days.
For three days in a row, Pak Wahyu's children stayed in the house with their mother.
During the three days that Irwan was also in charge of taking care of his three children, the man replaced the role of his wife for a while because of Novia's condition is not okay.
Riska came to Irwan with her three children in the back garden, not much different from Novia the three children also felt very lost the figure of Pak Wahyu who accompanied them every day.
"Wan, how's Novia doing?" ask Riska
"Still the same brother, not yet willing to talk and still crying."
Irwan began to worry about the condition of his wife, Novia refused to be invited to communicate even worse sometimes suddenly screamed hysterically.
"I put my sister to you, take good care of her Wan" Pinta Riska
Riska was concerned about her sister's situation, as strong as Novia finally could not survive when she lost her father figure.
Irwan nodded, his sister-in-law signaling to him as if knowing Irwan's behavior all along.
"Yes, my brother, I will Novia with all my soul" Irwan said
"Thank you, don't waste my trust in you" Riska replied
After saying his request, Riska went back into the house to meet the other family.
"Where from?" Mrs Ratih asked Riska as they passed each other in the living room.
"From behind me, talk to Irwan."
"Your sister hasn't come out of her room yet, so she's worried about her."
"I'm also worried about you, but let Novia calm herself down and the sadness goes away." Riska comforts her mother by saying that Novia will be fine.
"Pity of his children."
"Relax mah, there is Irwan who will take care of them," Riska replied again.
"Mama wants to meet him" said Mrs Ratih and walked to Novia's room.
The door of Novia's room was tightly closed, Mrs Ratih stood in front of the door and knocked on it.
"Vi, open the door mama wants to enter," shouted Bu Ratih from outside.
Hearing her mother's voice, Novia got up from her sleep coming down from the bed.
"Yes, for a minute, ma'am" he said from the inside.
Ratih rubbed his chest feeling relieved, finally Novia wanted to talk after three days locked herself in the room.
Novia appeared behind the door, and Ratih stepped in and closed the door to her mother, who was walking towards the bed.
"Vi, sit here by my mom." Madam Ratih patted the empty space beside her while sitting on Novia's bed.
Novia then stepped in at her mother's request, the two sitting next to each other.
Hygiene ....
"Eat already?" ask Bu Ratih
"It."
"Mama understands how you feel right now, but please don't get too late in the grief."
Novia turned to her mother, her gaze was blank and hard to interpret even Novia was still silent.
Madam Ratih grabbed Novia's hand, pulled and clasped tightly to her fingers, drawing strength to her youngest child.
"Papa needs prayer from us, not weak cries and tears that will burden papa," continued Bu Ratih again
"I really lost papa."
Finally a line of words slid from Novia's lips, the young woman felt her world had completely shattered and she wanted to give up.
Ratih squeezed his hand, channeled the power back to Novia and cupped Novia's face with both hands.
"Vi, listen to mama, you're a strong and tough woman. Mom and dad are proud of you."
Novia sobbed then poured into her mother's arms, a mother's embrace was able to relieve the storm.
Mrs Ratih gently rubbed Novia's back while saying, "death is absolute, no one can resist and avoid it including us."
"It wasn't you who always encouraged your husband when he grieved, then why are you the weak now?"
Mrs Ratih continued to try to encourage Novia, no one knew her own heart was also rumbling to miss her husband.
"Yes, Vi, pity your children they need attention." Mrs Ratih unraveled her embrace then got up and walked out leaving Novia in the room.
Novia pondered, thinking about all her mother's words and then she remembered her three children. Novia moved from her place to seek where her son and husband were.
"Where is camillah?" novia asked Riska as she exited the room.
"Your kids are with their papa, they play in the back" Riska replied.
Novia rushed to the back garden, apparently Irwan was accompanying her three children who played in the gazebo.
Irwan is not yet aware of his wife's presence, as Novia's position is behind Irwan's.
Novia cleared her throat, suddenly making Irwan surprised and turned around.
"Gosh Vi, you startled me" said irwan as he stroked his chest.
"Sorry, your end is too engrossed to see my arrival" Novia said.
"Mamaa here!" camillah called out to her mother while patting the gazebo floor.
Novia's smile expanded, slowly she walked around and then well up the gazebo.
"What are you doing, hmm?" tanya Novia was making small talk
"Main mah, this is Diba Deck, this is Emir Deck" Camillah said, showing some toys to his mother.
"This is a new car, where do you get it?" Novia squinted her eyes in curiosity
"Papa who bought mah" replied Camillah
"Oh, this is Emir's, right?"
"Yes." the boy replied while jumping in excitement.
Irwan looked at his wife with such a deep gaze, his gratitude could not be expressed in words.
"Finally, you've come back Vi, we miss you."
Irwan was so moved to see the changes that happened to his wife, Irwan had thought Novia would no longer care about him and their three children.
"That's ruined is it you lost Vi's father? For days we were neglected" Irwan murmured.
Meanwhile, Novia's smile continued to expand hearing her children's innocent and funny babble.
For a moment Novia could forget her sadness, her innocence and her son's playful behavior made her a little amused.
