The Part 89
Two months later ....
Novia returned to her usual activities, the difference was that she had to bring Adiba and Emir to work because it was impossible to leave the two children to her mother at home.
Mrs Ratih gets lonely when her son and granddaughter are not home, the only thing that can accompany her days when lonely is her husband's prayer beads.
The afternoon ....
"Mama why?" Novia panicked when she saw her mother's face pale.
"Head dizzy Vi."
Madam Ratih sat leaning against the chair, a tired look emanating from her pale face.
"We're going to the hospital now!"
Novia is still very traumatized to lose her father, this time she does not want the same thing to happen to her mother.
Mrs Ratih shook her head to reject Novia's invitation, "Mama here, son, you feel uncomfortable in the hospital."
"Not a comfortable problem or not mah, but the handling in the hospital is much better."
"I'm not a doctor who can diagnose your complaint, we're there now yes" Novia said gently.
"Mama is not strong if you ride an angkot and crammed inside" said Mrs Ratih
"We wait for Irwan to come home, mama still survives right?" ask Novia to her mother
"Yes, but you're lying in your room waiting for your husband to come home."
Novia let her mother into the room, the body of Ms. Ratih was so weak that Novia had a little trouble.
While in the room, Novia did not want to move from beside her mother even afraid to leave her mother alone in the room.
"Kids where's Vi?"
"Sleeping mah, after lunch Diba whines for a drink" replied Novia.
"Please get me some warm water, your throat feels dry" said Mrs Ratih.
"Mom it's okay to stay alone?"
Novia hesitates to leave her mother alone, but she also has to get her mother some drinking water. With a heavy heart Novia came out and rushed into the kitchen.
Arriving at the room, Novia thrust a glass of warm water on her mother, Bu Ratih grabbed a glass in Novia's hand and then drank the water.
"Just take a break, I'm going to get some clothes and necessities in the hospital."
Novia opened the wardrobe, the woman was stunned staring at her father's pair of clothes hanging neatly.
"Papa, look now I'm taking your place to accompany a sick mama. Don't worry pah, I promise I will take good care of mama" Novia murmured inwardly.
Clear thread dripped on Novia's cheeks, her father's shady face reflected back all the memories of her father were still perfectly recorded.
Novia immediately wiped her tears, lest her mother see and make her mother sad again.
Some sheets of clothes belonging to his mother Novia put in a bag, not to forget also the sarong and the interior of his mother.
"Vi, also enter the book that you often read." Mr. Ratih pointed towards the nightstand which above is composed of several reading books belonging to Mr. Revelation.
"Which book is mah?"
"Majmu Sharif, the cover is silver."
Novia then took the book that her mother mentioned, a prayer group book that her father always read in his spare time during his life.
"Mama misses papa? I'm just like mom, too" inner Novia as she holds the book.
"This is mah?" Novia showed the book to her mother and answered Bu Ratih's nod.
After everything was ready, Novia approached her mother to make sure her mother was lying on the bed.
Mrs Ratih looked closed her eyes, muffling the sadness of remembering her husband. Novia thought her mother was asleep she went out of the room to take care of other needs.
Afternoon ....
Novia came out to greet her husband, standing on the terrace waiting for Irwan to get off the car after parking him in the garage
Irwan walked while carrying a black crackle in his hand, Irwan's steps stopped right beside his wife.
"What did you bring that?"
"Fish, I stopped by the market on purpose" Irwan replied as he thrust his carry-on bag.
Novia grabs the bag and turns to follow her husband, both of whom walk in. Novia heads to the kitchen while Irwan goes into the room.
After storing the fish in the refrigerator, Novia returned to the room to meet her husband.
"Come, take a shower we will take you to the hospital" said Novia.
Irwan gasped in surprise, "Mama why? It was fine this morning I left."
"She was dizzy, but I saw my mother pale and very limp I was afraid of anything happening to her" replied Novia
"What about Vi's kids?"
"That's what I think Wan is, but what else? Mom's health is important too."
"Yes, already, let me accompany the children at home you just focus on caring for your mother," said Irwan.
"All right, I'll take a shower first. You guys get ready while you wait for me to finish my bath."
Novia rushed to change her clothes, then took care of Emir and Adiba while Camillah had finished changing her own clothes.
After finishing taking care of her child, Novia went into her mother's room and asked Ms. Ratih to get ready.
"Come, mah, Irwan has come" said Novia.
"The kids are with Vi?" ask Bu Ratih
"Yes, but I'll be back home. There is Irwan who will take care of them" said Novia.
"Emir is still a little Vi, pity to be away from you." Madam Ratih thought of her grandson.
"Don't worry mah, Irwan can definitely handle it."
Novia reassured her mother, because she did not want her mother to refuse to go to the hospital.
Irwan had finished bathing, then checked all the doors and windows lest anyone not be locked after that following Novia, Bu Ratih, and his three children out.
"A ready? We leave now," said Irwan then lifted a bag containing clothes and needs Mother-in-law and put in the car.
"Come on, boys, get in the car mama's gonna get in." Irwan asked his three children to go up first.
Novia had her mother ride into the car in aid of Irwan, both of whom had a bit of difficulty because Bu Ratih's body was large and taller than Novia.
Mrs Ratih was already in the car leaning on Novia, while Camillah and her sisters sat in front with Irwan.
Irwan starts the engine, the car slowly moves away from home on the road to the hospital.
Throughout the journey Bu Ratih was silent, only the babble of Novia children who sounded simple to each other sometimes interspersed with laughter and jokes typical of small children.
Irwan focused on his steering wheel, occasionally looking back to ascertain the state of his Mother-in-law.
"Sstt, don't be noisy, this is sick." Irwan reminded his children to shrink their voices.
"Where will I take Pah?" ask Adiba
"To the hospital, this will be treated there," replied Irwan
"We stayed here too pah?"
"No, you go home with papa."
"Diba and Emir?"
"Ikut went home too, small children are prohibited from staying at the hospital," Irwan said again.
He nodded his head, a child his age could understand what his father said.
