Hachisaku~sama part 3

Your grandmother and grandfather won't talk to you or call you until then. Remember, do not leave the room for any reason until 7 am. I'll let your parents know what's going on."

He spoke in a serious tone so all I could do was nod my head calmly.

"You should follow K-san's orders," my grandfather told me. "And never let go of the parchment he gave you. And if anything happens, pray with Buddha. And make sure you lock the bedroom door while we're gone."

They went to walk into the hallway and after I said goodbye to them, I closed the bedroom door and locked it. I turned on the TV and tried to watch, but I was so nervous, my stomach hurt. My grandmother had left me some food, but I couldn't eat it. I felt like I was in prison, I was also very depressed and scared. I lay in bed and waited. Before I knew it, I was asleep.

When I wake up, it's only 1 in the morning. Suddenly, I realized something was knocking on the window.

"Tok, tock, tock, tock ..."

I felt the blood flowing from my face and my heart pounding. I desperately tried to calm myself down, telling myself that it was just the wind or maybe a tree branch. I raise the volume of the TV to drown out that knocking sound. Eventually, the sound stopped altogether.

That's when I heard Grandpa calling me.

"Are you okay there?" Ask. "If you're afraid you don't have to be there alone. I can come in and accompany you. "

I smiled and rushed to the door to open the door, but then, I stopped in front of the door. I was shivering all over my body. Sounds like my Grandpa's voice, but somehow, it's different. I don't know what it is, but I just know ...

"What are you doing?" Grandfather asked. "You can open the door now."

I'm backing out of the door. My whole body was trembling in fear. I knelt before the Buddha statue and gripped the piece of parchment tightly in my hand. I started praying for help.

"Please save me from Hachishakusama" I wailed.

Then I heard a voice outside the door saying:

"Ro ... Po ... Po ... Po ... Po ... Po ... Po ..."

Knock on the window start again. I was scared and I crouched down in front of the statue, half crying and half praying all night. I felt like that night would never end, but it was finally morning. The salt in all 4 bowls was pitch black.

I'm checking my watch now at 7:30 in the morning. I carefully opened the door. My grandmother and K-san were standing outside waiting for me. When I saw my face, my grandmother cried.

"I'm glad you're alive" he said.

I went downstairs and was surprised to see my father and mother sitting in the kitchen. My grandfather came in and said, "Hurry up! We have to go."

We went to the front door and there was a big black van waiting in the front yard. A few men from the village stood around him, pointing at me and whispering, "That's his son."

The van was a 9-seater and they put me in the middle, surrounded by eight people. K-san is in the driver's seat.
