I don't know how many men have expressed love for Erna, but there is none that he received. Even during High School, she never received a man's love and it was sustained until college. It was proven that some students who were interested and expressed love for him, always rejected.
It's no secret to me, because my position is not far from the place of love statement, Erna always threw a question before rejecting the love of a man:
“Is there still love?”
Every time the question came out of Erna's mouth, there was always a feeling of pity in my heart for the man who expressed love for her. Because I know after the question is thrown, then the rejection of love occurs, both with a subtle language like “We just make friends ya”, as well as with a fulgar language like “Sorry, I can not accept your love”.
Just like this time, Erna threw the question at the man sitting in front of her, who had expressed love for her.
“Is there still love?”
The man nodded.
“What does love look like if it still exists?” ask Erna back.
“Hmm, maybe dating?” the man replied hesitatingly.
“We are friends, yes,” said Erna to the man.
“Why?” asked the man curious.
“Because we still do not know if the love is still there or not,” Erna replied with a smile.
The man with his head bowed from before Erna.
I who had been watching from a distance, immediately came to Erna who had been alone sitting in the campus garden where we were studying.
Erna smiled looking at my figure that was coming closer.
“Until when will you be like this, Erna?” ask me while sitting in front of him.
Erna smiled and replied, “Until I find my true love.”
“Not like it, Man, but those two words are indeed beautiful and in meaning,” refutes Erna.
“Hmm,” mumbled as I nodded my head, then said as to myself, “A happy step of the one who has gained true love.”
“Yes, must be very happy,” said Erna with a smile full of happiness.
I was happy to see that smile. But a few moments later I saw the smile disappear and his face turned grim.
“Why?” manyworry.
“True love will indeed make anyone happy who gets it,” Erna said in a soft voice saying, “but many women are fooled by wrong assumptions about true love. The result is not happiness, but misery and suffering. That's because..due..”.
Erna did not continue her words. I saw her eyes glazed over and her lips twitched like she was holding back the turmoil inside her chest.
“They assume if the man she loves and has a boyfriend status is her true love,” continued Erna with a slightly vibrating voice, “so they so forget the norms and out of control in living her love. As a result they are swept up in a love disaster. They were not aware of having been a delicious meal by the man whom he considered to be his true “love”. They let their bodies become the man's soul mate, until fate determines the end of his love story. Yes, there may be married, but not a few who suffer and some who commit suicide. Ah...”
Erna's words stopped again. I saw him trying to hold back his crying not to explode. Her hands seemed busy wiping away her tears and snot.
I quickly picked up a handkerchief and thrust it at him.
Erna received my handkerchief and immediately wiped her eyes and nose.
“Have you ever experienced anything bad about love, Erna?” ask me after seeing he was able to master his feelings.
Erna shook her head.
“Then why do you always think negatively about love?”
“I don't think negatively about love, Man,” says Erna firmly, “I just don't accept because of the love of many women so victims.”
“You mean, love that makes women victims?” I don't understand.
