Chapter 14: The necromancer

"Look over there! That's Spellsword."

"Have you heard it? He accepted the challenge from Thaya, and they will duel next month."

"Thaya? He always challenged Riyan to fight as long as he had the chance. And he always loses. This time it should be the same, Thaya won't have a chance to win."

Riyan quickly finished his meal and immediately left the canteen.

On the way back to the dorm, Lila suddenly said, "Riyan, don't stop walking and don't turn around, there's someone following you."

"What's? Who'sis that? What do they want from me?" said Riyan who was upset.

"It was a student of a magic class when viewed from his uniform."

"Huh? Is that a female student? Then I don't have to worry too much about it. He may be a fan of the real Riyan" said Riyan lightly, it's normal for anyone to admire the real Riyan.

Lila then went from the side of Riyan to check the identity of the stalker.

When Lila returned to Riyan's side, she said, "I don't think she's a fan of yours."

"How did you come to that conclusion?"

"Because the stalker is Selena, and she's a Magia" Lilia replied.

"So what? Huh, the real Riyan can date a person like Araya, she can definitely attract other Magia as well" Riyan muttered. Being envious of him who was in the other world was useless.

"Actually, Selena is also known as a Necromancer. Don't you think it's too much of a coincidence that someone seems to be suspected as soon as you return from the dead? Maybe he thinks you were resurrected with magic or something, so he spied on you." Lila expressed her hypothesis.

"Sounds bad. Can he raise the dead with his magic or something? And most importantly, is he dangerous?" Riyan asked.

'Selena .. I didn't know there was a student with that name in my world, ' thought Riyan trying to remember the name.

"No, he can't raise the dead. I don't know if he's dangerous or not, but he has a bad reputation in the academy."

"Rumors say that he likes to experiment on corpses and other things related to the dead," Lila told the publication.

"Isn't there some kind of law that prevents people from tinkering with corpses in this world?" riyan asked raising her eyebrows next to her.

"Well, it depends on what he does with the corpse, but for the most part, what he does is not illegal. And he might just try to practice his magic, which is pretty normal for someone who studies Necromancy" Lila said.

"Hmm? Is Necromancy considered a dark magic?" Ryan then asked.

"Yes." Yeah."

"I understand, so he also——"

"What?"

However, before Riyan could react, two hands emerged from the ground below and grabbed onto the ankles, preventing them from moving.

"What does this mean?!" Riyan shouted out loudly.

"Calm down, he's just limiting your movement" Lila said

A person with a small figure approached him from the shadows a moment later.

"Please calm down, I won't hurt you" Selena said immediately.

"You ...." Riyan was shocked when she saw Selena's appearance.

Selena has a tiny body and a gentle face, so it looks as if she is 12 years old. He had long black hair that reached behind his knees, and his eyes were dark as night.

When Riyan saw Selena, he subconsciously muttered, "A child?"

Selena's eyebrows twitched upon hearing his words.

"Who are you calling a child?! I'm 19 years old, I'm an adult!" He shouted out loud before kicking Riyan on the knee with his black shoes.

"Damn it! It hurts!" riyan said in pain holding her knee.

"I thought you said that wouldn't hurt me!" said Riyan grimacingly holding his knee.

"That was before you insulted me." Selena grunts inadmissive.

"It's against the academy's rules to use magic outside official matches and training centers! You'll get into a lot of trouble if the academy finds out about your actions!" snapping Riyan. But Selena doesn't seem to care about it.

"This is just a level 1 magic spell. I won't be punished for something so small as long as I don't kill you" Selena lightly shrugged her shoulders.

"You missed a few words there! That should be 'As long as I don't hurt you'!" Riyan exclaimed.

"Don't be naive, Riyan, she's Magia. He can hit other students in front of the teachers and will not be punished" Lila laughed.

Riyan gritted his teeth after hearing such words.

'So it's like in my world, where the rich and influential can get away with all the trouble. What the fuck?' He sighed.

"What do you want from me?" riyan asked not to mince words.

"I want to look at your body and see if you were resurrected by magic," he said with a foolish expression.

"What's? That's bonkers. Of course I wasn't resurrected by magic!" riyan denied.

"Then, why can I feel the dark magic from your body?"

"Dark magic? I don't know what you're talking about." Riyan frowned.

Lila flew in front of him and explained to Riyan, "Black Bullet. When you use magic, the rest of the Mana will be left around you for some time before disappearing. And people with the same magic affinity will be able to sense it, if it comes from your body."

'What ?! Why didn't you tell me something so important this before?! My secret is now exposed! And it hasn't even been a full day since I came to this world! ' Riyan was crying in his heart.

"Why didn't you respond?" Selena asked him with narrowed eyes, clearly suspecting his behavior.

"I-I don't know what you're talking about, but I wasn't resurrected by magic! This is a misunderstanding!" sangkal Riyan's.

"Because you're sure that you're not a revived corpse, you don't mind that I can examine your body, do you? I'll leave you alone soon after. If this is indeed a misunderstanding." Hearing her words, Riyan stared at Lila.

"Let her," Lila nodded with a smile on her face.

Although Riyan did not believe it, it was not as if he had any other choice.

"Well, I'll let you check my body. You have to go and don't bother me anymore!" persemat Riyan's.

"Thank you for your cooperation" Selena nodded.

'What cooperation! You're basically forcing me! ' Riyan cursed it in his heart.
