Chapter 16's

Riyan woke up the next morning with a dull feeling and pain all over her body, especially around her shoulders and arms.

"Good morning, Riyan," said Lila not even waiting for Riyan to open her eyes perfectly.

"Ah .. I haven't felt this bad since I first started practicing .." said Riyan groaning, trying to pinch his own nape. Already tried to do a little stretching, but did not succeed in relieving the feeling of peg.

"It may hurt, but if you don't wake up soon, you'll be late for the academy" Lila recalled with a smile.

"What time is it?" riyan asked who instantly became panicked. He checks the clock.

"At 7 hours less" said Lila.

Riyan sighed, spent a few seconds to calm down, then got out of bed and went to wash his face. Well, he didn't shower first.

Five minutes later, he dressed neatly and immediately left the dormitory.

"Riyan, last night you kept delirious, you know? Do you often?" said Lila who floated in front of Riyan, she displayed a mocking smile.

"really? I usually don't. Then, what am I muttering?" asked the curious Riyan.

"Hmm... essentially your dream must not be far from using magic, right? You always yell 'Black bullet!' and 'Black flame!' Keep on sounding all night," said Lila chuckled.

"Well, I really wish I could use magic in public. Huh, until carried away to the dream."

Moments later, Riyan arrived at the third grade minutes before the first lesson hour began.

"Good morning, Riyan!" His classmates welcomed his arrival with a gentle smile.

"Good morning," Riyan replied with a stiff smile, he was confused as to how to respond. He in his world had never received such treatment. Even a miracle if someone asks him to talk first for a good thing.

"Did you sleep well last night?" One of the students asked him.

"Yes, I slept well." Riyan nodded.

"good. Well, if it were me .. sleeping well would have been a boon, knowing that I would fight Thaya within a month of preparation."

'Damn, why do you have to bring up such an unpleasant topic so early in the morning? ' inner Riyan growled. The mood has fallen first.

"You're going to duel with Thaya next month? Very surprising, why didn't you tell me earlier? Lila said after hearing the fact that Riyan dueled with Thaya.

"I know you're talented, but even with your talent .. you have to train really hard if you want to beat someone like Thaya in just a month. He was a person with great combat and magic experience. While you even started yesterday," said Lila, saying the inequality between Riyan and Thaya.

"I don't have a choice, I'll keep fighting it. It doesn't matter if I accept the challenge or not. If I refuse, she will definitely stay against me, the difference is fair, or a brutal fight without rules" whispered Riyan sighing.

"Don't worry. As long as you have me as your teacher, you can definitely defeat that person!" lila said puffing her chest with confidence.

'Even though you taught me magic, but still cannot use magic in public? ' Riyan shook his head carefully.

When the first lesson begins, a teacher named Mina starts the class.

"Riyan, can you finish this?" Mina chose Riyan for their first question today.

"I can."

Riyan stood up and walked to the blackboard. He returned to his seat a short while later after giving the perfect answer there.

'As I thought .. means yesterday wasn't just a coincidence! He had somehow suddenly become a genius! ' mina's inner being looked at Riyan seriously.

Despite not being smart in the classroom, the original Riyan still managed to become his favorite student. Now that he had turned smart, Mina's impression of Riyan would increase by several folds.

Time passed very quickly, and before Riyan could notice it, it was time to go home.

"The weekend starts tomorrow. If you are planning to exit the academy area, be sure to notify the academy party and do a check at the entrance gate. Have fun." Mina said to the students before leaving the class.

"What are you going to do for the weekend, Riyan?" The students asked him.

"You want to hang out? I know a good place and close to the academy."

"Sorry, but I already have a plan with Kamila's sister" said Riyan with a regretful smile

"Huh? An academy nurse? Why?"

"He's the one responsible for my recovery" Riyan replied giving a random, yet reasonable excuse. "And I also have to prepare for my fight with Thaya."

Riyan did not linger in class and immediately headed for the training center, where Kamila was waiting for him.

"How are you feeling?" kamila asked as soon as Riyan reached the infirmary

"Just be good."

"Alright, that means you're ready to practice again."

Riyan followed him into the private training room shortly after making small talk.

"Because we trained the upper body yesterday. Now we're going to train your lower body today. I want you to run around this room until you can't lift a leg anymore. This will help you quickly gain more endurance."

"I understand," said Riyan without complaining and following Kamila's direction.

"Before you start, wear this around your wrists and ankles." Kamila handed him 4 metallic green bracelets.

"What's this?" ask Riyan.

"They are F-Rank magic artifacts that will increase your endurance and stamina, allowing you to train longer" Kamila explained.

"Isn't this cheating? I had to independently raise my stamina, after all," said Riyan raising his eyebrows, staring at the green bracelet that was the magic artifact.

"No, not at all! it's complicated to explain, so I won't bother." Kamila shook her head. "However, I would say that this is a very common training method used by everyone who can afford these artifacts."

"How much?" Ryan suddenly asked.

"20 thousand Yor per unit," Kamila told him a little indifferently. Meanwhile, Riyan instantly opened his mouth wide

"A-a-pa?! So I will train with an item worth 80 thousand Yor?! If I accidentally break it during practice, I really won't be able to replace it." Riyan could only shake his head. He refused Kamila's gift.

However, Riyan forgot something. "Eh? Waita minute! Yor? The currency from which it was, I had never heard of it," said Riyan frowning.

"Well, just a few years ago. All currencies of different countries are equated. That's Yor, the value is the same as the American dollar." Kamila explained.

"D-dollar America .. If one of those magic artifacts is damaged, maybe I should sell my kidneys and other organs."

"Huh, listen, huh? It's not mine personally. It's an academy facility. And the students are free to use it."

"That's not the case .." Riyan replied snorting.

As someone who was born in an ordinary family, even including the lower classes. 80,000 dollars is a huge amount of money. It took him years of work to gather, yet he would use such crazy valuable equipment for training. The big jump for Riyan, made him feel inferior.

"If you don't want to use it and make things harder for yourself, that's up to you" Kamila said, gesturing to return the artifact.

"Who said anything about not using it?" Riyan quickly put on all four artifacts, one on his legs and arms, and he started running around the room at full speed.

An hour later, Riyan was surprised to learn that he could still run without being out of breath.

Normally, Riyan would be out of breath after a few minutes of running at his full speed, but now he could do it for longer.

'This magic artifact is amazing! I feel like I can run around the world as long as I wear it!' Riyan became more motivated to train because of his new toy.

After running two hours later, Riyan finally collapsed on the floor because it had consumed a lot of stamina.

"Three hours, huh? Not bad for the first try" Kamila slowly approached the sprawling Riyan.

He took something from the storage space and placed it in front of Riyan.

"What's this?" riyan was puzzled to see Kamila's gift, which was a transparent colored glass bottle with a hint of green liquid inside.

"This is stamina potion. That will improve your stamina recovery. You should return to your full stamina within 15 minutes of drinking it" Kamila explained.

"This world is amazing! No wonder everyone is so strong! As long as I have the stamina of this potion, I can train all day and won't be out of breath!"

However, Kamila shook her head and said, "Your body is too weak right now, so you can only drink one every 12 hours."

"Although that's the case, it's still three extra hours of every day!" Riyan immediately drank the stamina potion and waited for his stamina to recover.

A quarter of an hour later, he again ran around the room for three hours.

Meanwhile, Kamila went back to reading her book near the door to wait for Riyan to finish.
