Chapter 27: What kind of healer is this?

Riyan nervously waited for his new magic affinity to rise.

Ding!

[You have awakened the wind magic affinity]

[Wind magic affinity: F]

"Wind magic affinity?" Riyan muttered at the System notification.

He was neither happy nor disappointed with the result, as he did not know much about wind magic.

'Wind magic ... will it make me fly like in a fantasy novel?' Riyan wondered to himself, as this was the first thing that occurred to him.

If he could fly in the sky using magic, it would make the journey much more comfortable.

Riyan browsed the Magic Shop after the purchase.

{Magic Shop}

[Shop Level: 1]

[Magic affinity generator at random: 300 MP]

[Increase Mana capacity: 5 MP] [Increase Magic Power: 5 MP] [Increase magic affinity:?]

[Total MP: 1]

[Shop Experience: 10/100]

Riyan's eyes widened upon seeing the new price to awaken a new magic affinity.

'300 Magic Points?! What an incredible hike! Hundreds of times.'

Although he understood why the price had increased, he was still confused.

'Fortunately, the reward I get for completing a quest seems to be getting higher every time I complete it. Whereas 300 Magic Points might be too expensive for me right now. I shouldn't have any problem paying for it in the future.'

Since it was too expensive to awaken the affinity of other magic for now, Riyan had decided to focus on other options, such as improving Magic Power and increasing his Mana capacity.

After coming out of the bathroom, Riyan asked, "Hey, Lila, since you don't want to teach me a level 2 magic spell, why don't you teach me some level 1 spells? I want to learn wind magic?"

"Huh? Why do you suddenly want to learn wind magic? If you don't have wind magic affinity, you won't be able to use magic wind."

"Actually, I also have an affinity for wind magic, but this is an F rank. I found out about it recently." said Riyan.

"Seriously? You have an affinity for darkness and wind?"

"Is that surprising?" asked Riyan raising her eyebrows.

"of course. It was unusual for one to have more than one magic affinity. Actually, only one in a million magicians has two different magic affinities" Lila said with a serious face.

"Well, so .. do you have any wind magic that you can teach me?"

Lila thought for a moment before nodding, "This one will benefit you greatly." He stuck out his hand at Riyan, then a green magic circle appeared.

Riyan stared at the green magic circle in Lila's palm and memorized it in a split second.

[You have learned a magic spell: Feather Step]

[Father Step]

[Affinity: Wind]

[Level: 1]

[Mana: 5]

[Master's Rank: F]

"Feather Step? What can be done with that?" Riyan tilted his head.

"It basically makes your body feel light as a feather, allowing you to travel faster and with more efficiency on stamina" Lila explained.

"Oh, that's pretty good" said Riyan.

And he continued, "Hmm .. Now that I think about it, I don't know much about magic affinity. Every element should have advantages and disadvantages, right? Then, how much magic affinity is there?"

"Yes, that's right. Each magic affinity has its own advantages and disadvantages. For example, dark magic excels in destruction but requires more Mana than any other affinity, while wind excels in support and speed but lacks great destructive power. Well, the exception to high-level spells."

"It was quite interesting .." said Riyan as he absorbed the information in his head.

Lila continued, "Magic affinities are many, some are rare and very rare. So, I'll explain the general ones."

"Magic affinity is divided into two main and advanced—— categories. For example, the water magic affinity is considered the main affinity while the ice magic affinity is the advanced affinity which is the superior version of the water magic affinity."

"If you have an ice magic affinity, you can use ice and water magic. However if you have the affinity of water magic, you can still use ice magic, but it will not be as powerful. And it will also be much more difficult to use as it requires more Mana."

"Water, fire, wind, and land are all major affinities. Only 1% of witches were born with an advanced affinity, so they were extremely rare." Lila explained at length. He paused for a moment to give Riyan a chance to digest everything.

"What about light and darkness? Are both versions advanced?" ask Riyan.

"It was included in Holy Magic and Chaos Magic. There were also other magic affinities such as lightning, space, and gravity. However, not all magic affinities have a stronger version." Lila replied.

"I understand .. magic turns out to be more complex than I thought ... How interesting That was" Riyan muttered to himself.

"Yes, that includes." Lila nodded.

"So Kamila also has two magic affinities. Well, he's so cool."

"I don't think so. There were magic artifacts that allowed one to use certain magic, so not everyone could use such magic. In fact, most of them must have used magic artifacts since it was quite common in this world."

"That's it, huh?"

A while later, Riyan asked again, "By the way, how did you know wind magic as well? Do you also have an affinity for wind magic?"

"yeah. I just enjoy learning all sorts of magic even if I can't use it. This is my hobby."

"Yep, your hobby is very useful" said Riyan.

Lila rubbed her nose arrogantly. "Hehe."

"With that, you can teach me more wind magic, right? Is there any wind magic that allows me to fly?"

"Fly off? There was flying magic, but it was a level 4 spell." said Lila in surprise.

"Level 4? Teach that! Although I can't learn it now, but, I feel satisfied, even if only knowing it!" riyan said excitedly.

A week after training with Kroni walking.

In the Adventure Guild, Kroni said, "Reon, it's been a week since our first meeting. All this time, you've managed to master 20 different combos, and you even managed to land a clean wound on my body yesterday. I'm sure it's time we start your stage 3 practice."

"Is there a stage 3?" Riyan raised his eyebrows. This was the first time he heard that.

"of course. While you are quite decent in close combat, you have no experience with fighting an opponent who can attack you from a distance like a witch. Therefore, you will start fighting the witches for the last week of your training."

"Oh, it just so happens that I also want to fight against witches!" Ryan said excitedly.

"Who am I going to fight with?" ask her nervously.

"I." A familiar voice responded to Riyan's question.

Riyan turned to look at Kamila who was standing behind him.

"S-seriously?" Riyan looked at him with widened eyes.

"Totally serious." Kroni nodded with a serious face.

"Are you not one of the strongest adventurers?! Even though Kamila's sister held back a little, it would have been enough to kill me!" Riyan exclaimed.

"Don't worry, I know how to control my powers. You won't die even if I directly attack you with my magic. But it would definitely hurt more than being struck by a wooden sword" Kamila said with a gentle smile, but Riyan did not take it that way.

"That doesn't make me feel better!" Riyan smiled wryly.

Kamila suddenly stuck out her arm and summoned two beautiful golden spears.

"H-Hey! Waita minute! At least let me get ready!" yelled out Ryan who was panicking.

"Hopefully it works, Reon!" Kroni laughed out loud as he sat at the end of the room, turning into a spectator.

Meanwhile, Kamila threw one of her lances of light at Riyan.

The spear shot out rapidly, but not at a speed that Riyan could not see.

"Whoa!"

After evading it, Riyan immediately ran towards Kamila.

"I got you!" Riyan swung his sword as he got close enough to Kamila.

"Oh, I forgot to tell you, but most witches know how to fight melee fighters!" The crony suddenly shouted.

Kamila blocked the sword of Riyan with her golden spear easily. Then using his other hand, he stuck out his palm onto Riyan's face before releasing a magic spell.

Riyan was unable to react to the attack and was immediately thrown to the edge of the room.

"Damn it! It hurts so much!" Riyan touched his face in panic, as he was worried that his face was going on after the attack, not to mention the burning sensation he felt.

"Never lose focus when you're fighting a witch!" Kamila warned him before he sent the last golden spear.

"Damn!"

Riyan subconsciously moved the sword in front of his body.

Although he could almost block the spear with his sword, it still threw it against the wall.

"Are you really a Healer?!" Riyan shouted while taking pains to stand up and prepare for Kamila's next attack.

And for the next few hours, Kamila would spam magic to attack Riyan without rest, almost as if she had infinite Mana.
