The next morning, Riyan woke up earlier than usual for breakfast before heading to her classroom.
"Good morning, Riyan!" His classmates greeted him with bright smiles.
"Morning." Riyan returned their greeting with a smile as well.
"Is it just me or Riyan feeling different at the moment? He no longer looks weak." His classmates muttered to each other.
"His recovery might be going well, so he's getting some of his strength."
"Riyan, how does your body feel?" One of the students decided to ask Riyan.
"My condition is much better than it was three weeks ago, that's for sure." He smiles.
"That's great, especially since your fight with Thaya is only a week away."
"Do you think you can beat Thaya in your current state?" Other students ask.
Riyan thought for a moment before speaking, "I won't know until I fight him, but I should be fine."
However, to his surprise, all the students started laughing.
"W-Did I say something funny?" astonished Riyan raised his eyebrows next to his.
"You always say that, but when the fight starts, you destroy your opponent before they can even cast a second magic spell. Even without your memory, you're as low as ever!"
"W-Was that..." Riyan did not know how to respond to such words so he just kept quiet.
Mina entered the room shortly after and started the class. Seven boring hours will last.
"Happy weekend." Mina disbanded the class afterwards.
Riyan quickly tidied up her school equipment before leaving the classroom.
However, on his way outside the academy building, Riyan was stopped in the hallway by someone.
"Hey, Riyan! I hope you don't forget about our duel next week!"
It was Thaya, and he was there to remind her of their duel and provoke Riyan.
"Don't worry, I remember." said Riyan calmly. Thaya suddenly started walking towards him.
Riyan did not retreat even when Thaya was right in front of him.
"I can't wait to break your bones and humiliate you before the entire academy's students."
Riyan smiled and said, "And I can't wait to let you down."
"Preserve your actions and enjoy your peaceful last week, Riyan. See you in a week, bajin9an."
Thaya turned around and walked away afterwards.
Riyan took a deep breath before moving his legs again.
'Is it because of all the training I did with Kroni and Kamila's brother? I could no longer feel the fear of Thaya. His presence is too weak.' Riyan wondered to himself as he returned to the dormitory to change clothes.
Some time later, he meets Kamila in the parking lot where he usually parks his car.
Once they left school and were halfway to the Adventurers Guild, Riyan wore a necklace that changed her appearance, turning into Reon.
"Can you tell me a little bit about the exam so I can be better prepared?" Ryan suddenly asked.
"The test is very easy, so I won't bother to explain it. If you can't pass the exam easily after all the training you've done, I'll cut all ties with you."
Riyan turned his eyes. "I-I will pass the exam even if I have to risk my life!" He said in a nervous voice.
Some time later, they entered the Adventurers Guild.
"Reon, right? I've prepared everything for your Adventurer Exam. Please, follow me."
The receptionist took Riyan and Kamila to another room on the fourth floor.
Upon entering the room, Riyan could see an old man sitting at the table. However, this old man had an extremely large body. His muscles were so thick that it made his clothes look like they were too small in size.
If not for his long white beard and wrinkled face, Riyan would have thought of him as a middle-aged bodybuilder.
"It's been a long time, Kamila." The old man greeted him with a gentle smile.
"Good morning, Guildmaster Bearnold." Kamila slightly lowered her head.
"So this is the boy that made you step foot inside the Adventurer Guild again. At first glance I can tell that he is no ordinary person."
The old man who happened to be a Guildmaster of the Adventurers Guild approached Riyan with a sharp look. Riyan gulped nervously.
"Hello, I'm Reon."
"Because I want to be stronger."
"That's all? Very simple answer. Actually, this is exactly the same reason you gave me 15 years ago when I asked you." He glanced towards Kamila.
"I don't give him a script if that's what you're asking" he said calmly.
"Haha! I don't care about that!"
"After all, allow me to properly introduce myself. I am the Guildmaster of this Adventurer Guild. Most people call me Guildmaster Bearnold, so you can also call me that."
"Next, I will be watching over your Adventurer Exam today."
"Although this is usually done by others, I just took over after hearing that you were sponsored by Kamila."
"You're not going to make the exam harder than usual because you're a Guildmaster, are you? My life is at stake here!" riyan asked nervously.
"Of course not! I would never do such a thing as a Guildmaster!" he said with a big smile on his face.
Riyan let out a sigh of relief after hearing it.
"After all, I've wasted enough of your time. Let's start the test."
Guildmaster Bearnold took Riyan to the center of the room, where a large square-shaped object was located.
"This tool will test your Magic Talent. Ranging from rank F to rank S. Put your hand on the crystal ball there."
Riyan followed the instructions and placed his hand on the crystal ball.
"Give me a minute." Guildmaster Bearnold went to press a few buttons.
A while later, Riyan could feel his Mana being sucked in by the machine.
"Your Magic Talent is... S!" Guildmaster Bearnold spoke in a surprised voice.
Kamila did not seem surprised at all. In fact, his facial expression remained flat.
'Rank S... Magic System says that I have Magic Talent EX+. This confirms that the EX Rank is above the S Rank, but how high?' Ryan wondered to himself.
"Congratulations, you have S rank Magic Talent, even though you probably already know that. To put into perspective how lucky you are, there are over 7 billion people in this world, but less than ten thousand people who have Magic Talent rank S."
"Let's turn to your Magic Affinity now. Put your hands on the crystal ball again." Guildmaster Bearnold instructed.
A few moments later.
"You have two magic sfinities. Darkness and wind."
"Huh? The wind?" shock Kamila.
He was surprised this time, as he did not expect Riyan to have a second affinity.
"The Dark Magic Affinity is Rank S while your wind Magic Affinity is Rank F."
'Rank F? That's why it didn't show up when I tested it. Dark Magic's affinity has most likely been hindering Kamila's inner self.
"Alright, just one more test before we move on to the next exam." Guildmaster Bearnold.
"We're going to test your Mana capacity now, and it requires a tool to absorb almost all of your Mana, so you're going to experience Mana Fatigue. Don't worry, I'll give you Mana potion after."
"When you're ready."
"I'm ready." Riyan nodded.
The next moment, Riyan could feel that the tool was absorbing all of his Mana quickly.
A few seconds later, Riyan fell to his knees from experiencing Mana Fatigue.
"Here we go." Guildmaster Bearnold gave him the Mana Potion immediately after, while Riyan waited for his Mana to recover, Guildmaster Bearnold saw the results.
Guildmaster Borus frowned, "Your Mana Capacity is only slightly above 900!? How come? Even a magician who only studied magic for one to two years would have this much mana! This is very low for someone with talent like you! What have you been doing all your life?!"
He actually started yelling at Riyan, as he believed that Riyan had wasted his magic talent. Most people started learning magic even before the age of 10, so when Riyan was already 18 years old, it only had a capacity of 900 Mana, it could only mean one thing——that he almost never learned magic!
Anyone would be frustrated at Riyan if they saw the Mana and Magic Talent capacities going against each other, let alone a Guildmaster.
"Damn it! I didn't expect I could still be this conflicted at my old age! You really have a knack for pissing me off, like your sponsor!"
"Calm down, Guildmaster Bearnold." said Kamila.
"Because there was a slight problem, Reon only started learning magic about three weeks ago. To increase his Mana capacity in such a short amount of time, it could be considered a miracle."
"What?! Three weeks?! It makes me even more angry!" The face of Guildmaster Bearnold flushed in frustration.
After all, if Riyan started learning magic at the right age, he could have become one of the strongest magicians if not the strongest in the country by now.
