System: Parallel World

System: Parallel World
Chapter 9: System activated

After leaving the UKS, Riyan followed Kamila. They walked for about ten minutes until they arrived at a large building.

"This is a training center. This is where academy students can practice magic and other skills" Kamila said, explaining the function of large buildings, such as football stadiums before them.

In Riyan's world, the training center was a multipurpose building.

They entered the building shortly after Kamila finished speaking. Once inside, Kamila led Riyan into a private room. The interior of the room was made of steel, and the breadth was exactly that of the classroom in the academy.

"What kind of training will I do?" riyan asked while looking at the room.

"still asking? Huh, of course To keep your disguise, you have to learn how to use the sword, just like the real Riyan," Kamila said as she closed the room, not forgetting to lock it.

Riyan was alone with Kamila in the room was quite spacious, there was no other object. Empty room.

"I don't see a sword in here" said Riyan scratching his head as he looked around.

"Here."

Riyan turned around, looking at Kamila who had suddenly held the sword in her hand. The young man widened his eyes.

"What's? Where'd you get it?" riyan asked who pointed at the sword that Kamila had brought.

Kamila turned her palm and said, "Spatial magic."

Riyan then saw Kamila insert the sword into a small hole that suddenly appeared above her palm.

The sword disappeared into the hole.

"With this spatial magic, I can open a dimensional space and store dead things into it that can only be accessed by me" Kamila explained as she retrieved her sword from the dimensional storage.

"That's amazing!" said Riyan whose eyes twinkled. Understandably, he had never seen magic.

What he was witnessing now looked like this was a fantasy novel or a movie.

"Instead of learning swordsmanship, what if I just learn magic?! Thaya is a witch, isn't she? It would make sense if I fought him with magic, not a sword!" riyan said giving a suggestion, Kamila was just a head bobble.

Kamila frowned "Have you forgotten? Real Riyan can't use magic! If you could suddenly use magic, everyone would become suspicious of your identity. And we don't even know if you can use magic or not."

Riyan sighed, "I remember well, but I really wanted to try using magic, that's all." He put on a face.

Kamila tried not to let down on the childish attitude displayed by Riyan. Well, if it was the real Riyan he knew.

Kamila finally gave up.

"If you can reach a certain level of swordsmanship in a timely manner, I will teach you how to use magic." Kamila persuaded me to make an offer.

Of course, Kamila's original goal was to motivate Riyan into learning swordsmanship.

"This is a promise! So, what level do I have to reach, on swordsmanship, and how long do I have?!" Riyan immediately asked.

"You don't need to know, I'll tell you when you've reached that level .. if you can even reach it."

"Alright, agreed. I hold your word, brother Kamila!"

"I must have kept my promise."

Kamila then handed the iron sword to Riyan, "We'll start with the basics. Swing his sword straight in front of you a few times."

Riyan grabbed the sword that weighed about 2 kg and immediately started swinging it with all the power he had.

Although Kamila saw many mistakes that Riyan made about her swinging technique, Kamila did not stop Riyan until she swung the sword a dozen times.

"Well, you can stop now."

"Damn, it's exhausting ..." Riyan gasped afterwards.

"I'm not surprised, because you swung the sword with all your strength" Kamila said..

And he continued, "You used too much power. You wear a sword, not a blunt object. The most important thing when it comes to swords is speed and accuracy."

"Let me exemplify it to you." Kamila took out another sword with spatial magic and then started swinging the sword.

"Wow ... great!" Riyan was completely amazed by every move Kamila made, looking graceful.

Each swing of his sword felt light, and he could feel the sharpness of his blade even though he was far from there. Furthermore, his movements felt natural like flowing water.

There was no wasted movement, and it seemed like he did it without difficulty.

"Can you see the difference between my sword swing and yours?" ask Kamila after she finishes giving an example.

"Yes, your sword swing feels light as running water, while I feel heavy. Your movements are fast and agile, while I'm stiff and awkward."

Kamila narrowed her eyes at Riyan, and she thought to herself, 'if she could see the difference so quickly, she would not be so desperate. Actually he has sharp eyes.'

"Very good, because you know his mistake. So, please fix it. I'm not going to stop you this time, so keep swinging the sword until you're satisfied" said Kamila who moved to the edge of the room.

Riyan nodded his head, and without asking any more questions, he began to swing his sword back.

This time, he did not put all his strength into the swing, and he tried to imitate Kamila's movements,

A few minutes later, Kamila said, "Don't just copy my movements. You need to understand the reason behind the move first, or you'll never really fix it.

Tighten your grip on the handle of the sword and don't just use your shoulder to swing the sword. Use your whole arm and body as well. You can swing the sword longer and spend less energy."

"Yes!" Riyan listened to his suggestion and adjusted his movements according to Kamila's direction.

Half an hour later.

'This guy .. he's someone who learns fast. The way he swung the sword was now greatly improved compared to before. At this rate, she might have completely surpassed my expectations.

'Or he just pretended to be a beginner to lower my guard. Who are you, could it be that the parallel world's terrors are real? And where did it come from?'

The more thought out, the more it makes the dizzy.

Although Kamila was the one who told Riyan that she was from a parallel world. However, Kamila did not believe in such a theory at all.

In fact, Kamila guessed that Riyan was created by some kind of forbidden magic for some reason. However, to investigate her true origins, without making her suspicious, Kamila decides to give her a bullshit tale from a parallel world.

After all, too many coincidences for Riyan, who had mysteriously died without his corpse to be found, suddenly returned like nothing had happened.

'Until I can find your true background, I have to take care of you by my side .. It would be great if you were really the real Riyan, even if you were from another world ...' Kamila sighed inwardly.

The training lasted for two hours until Riyan could no longer move his body.

"S-come here! I'm done! I can't raise my arm anymore!" Riyan collapsed on the floor with his body soaked in sweat.

"Two hours? You're not very athletic apparently ..." Kamila looked at Riyan's body.

"What?! How am I not athletic? I have swung that iron sword without a break for two hours! I even practice very often because I often fight back against bullies in my world!" Riyan exclaimed, feeling slightly offended by Kamila's words.

In addition to his academic skills, there was one other thing that Riyan was very proud of——and it was a powerful body, which had been trained and refined so that he could fight against the bullies.

"Your stamina may be impressive in your world, but here, it's just below average" Kamila said.

And he continued, "However, since this practice ended earlier than I expected, and your progress surpassed my expectations, I guess I can teach you a little——"

"Magic ?!" Riyan suddenly rose up in excitement.

"..."

Kamila looked at him with narrowed eyes. "Are you really tired?"

"of course! But I won't miss the chance to learn magic even if all the bones in my body are destroyed!" riyan said confidently.

"Whatever it is, but before we start, I need to see if you have a Magic Talent and if there are any specific abilities you have. This way I'll know how to train you properly."

Kamila took out a clear-colored crystal ball, which was slightly larger than a round ball with spatial magic and gave it to Riyan.

"Hand hold that crystal!" Kamila's Edit.

Riyan nodded and held the crystal ball with his right hand.

Kamila then pressed her palm against her chest and closed her eyes.

The next moment, Riyan could see something emerging from within the crystal ball.

It appears as a small black dot in the center of the crystal ball at first, but it begins to enlarge until the entire crystal ball turns black. Kamila's eyes widened in surprise after seeing the results.

"What does this mean? It didn't look good ..." asked Riyan frowning.

However, Kamila was stunned for a moment.

"You have a magical affinity for dark magic and it's quite powerful," Kamila responded a moment later.

"Dark magic? That doesn't sound very good ..."

"A lot of people will agree with you since dark magic is related to Vampires."

Riyan gulped his saliva nervously, "A-does that mean I'm actually a Vampire?!"

"No, humans can also use dark magic, but it is very rare for humans to have it. Because of this, people called the dark magic user 'Cursed'."

"Oh, shit! If people knew that I could use dark magic, I would definitely be ostracized for the rest of my life here!" whining Riyan.

"That's not true, what really matters in this world is your power, not your magic affinity. As long as you are strong enough, no one will dare to bother you.

In fact, there were magicians in this academy who also had a magic affinity for dark magic, and no one dared to disturb him."

"And judging from the results, the Magic Talent you have is at least in the A-Rank range. Hmm ... I need other equipment to ascertain the true level of your Magic Talent. Moreover, you can be part of Elite Class if this information is spread.

"As if I could do something like that!" riyan sighed. It's free to have great talent if you can't show it to others. The talent you hold for yourself is useless

"So what do you want to do? Do you want to learn dark magic even if you can't use it in front of others?" kamila asked, looking seriously at Riyan.

"Do you need to ask such a question? Of course, I'll do it! I want to learn magic, no matter what kind of magic I can do, even if I use only one kind of magic!" riyan said with a serious expression, showing her sincerity.

Ding!

A voice suddenly resounded in Riyan's head.
