TALES OF RUNETERRA: IONIAN

TALES OF RUNETERRA: IONIAN
AHRI THE NINE - TAILED FOX

Ahri is a Vastasya nation who can turn magic into an energy ball.He likes to toy with his enemies by manipulating his opponent's emotions. Not only beautiful and charming Ahri is known for its merciless predators. Devouring the soul of his enemy, Ahri felt empathy because he saw the memory of his prey. Ahri so mastered his knowledge because he had a hidden relationship with Runneterra.

Deserted in a snowy wilderness in Northern Ionia, Ahri was still very small when she was left with a pair of diamond stones there alone. At that time, she was picked up by a group of ice foxes who were hunting for breakfast, before they finally adopted Ahri to be a part of them. With no one to teach her about witchcraft, Ahri can absorb it all from the world around her, and reshape it into a force that helps her move faster when hunting prey. If she gets close enough, she can even win over the panicked deer despite Ahri's canine teeth being pierced into her neck.

Ahri first encounters a human when a horde of soldiers gather near his lair. Their behavior was so strange to Ahri. Curious, Ahri observed them from a distance. His attention was very much on the figure of the leader, who unlike the others, had several limbs of animals like him. It made him think of his fox family.

When the leader is injured by an arrow, Ahri feels that his soul will soon disappear. He then instinctively took that soul and left his body just like that. With the memory of the man, Ahri sees that his lover died in a war. All were dead, both his children and his hometown. For some reason, Ahri felt a sensation that was so frightening but on the other hand pleasant.

With the soul of the hunter figure that was taken earlier, Ahri felt his body become more alive than the one before. Starting from there, Ahri began to explore Ionia in search of prey. Ahri enjoys playing with his prey, controlling their emotions before sucking their souls. She has that good way of showing her beauty, she also has the ability to make them hallucinate, or even give nightmares.

Ahri is shocked when she sees the memory that brought her to know about the legend of the demon fox figure. As she sucks more souls, Ahri digs slowly about the legend. Until finally, the thing he feared from this myth turned out to be true. He was nothing more than a cruel monster. Slowly, after Ahri spends a lot of his time searching for prey over time, he senses that his strength is starting to fade, and everything is not as it once was.

Ahri tested himself by starting to consume the souls of his prey with lower amounts, enough to take memory but not enough to kill. He was successful, for a moment, but the hunger within him grew more and more unbearable.

Tormented by the wrongs she made, Ahri cannot forgive herself and feels a sadness that forces her to question the meaning of her life. Ahri escapes to a cave in the forest, isolating himself in a hope of controlling himself. Years later, determined to live the life of what she saw before her eyes, Ahri promises never to take anyone's life again. Armed with a pair of gemstones that become a true revealer of her identity, Ahri searches for a figure out there who is the same as her. He will never again borrow memories and dreams that do not belong to him.
