The American In Another World
Chapter 19: The Gra Valkas Empire

August 8, 1639

The Gra Valka Empire

At the top of the tower overlooking the beautiful industrial cityscape of the Gra Valkan capital, Ragna, a man in an authoritative trench coat stands by the window, admiring the view. He raised the cup to his mouth, sipped his coffee while taking a short break. After a while, he sighed, returning to work. He exits his office, pops into a chaotic but organized workspace filled with huge radios, electronic equipment, and busy technicians.

"Vice Director," a technician saluted in front of him, holding a telegram report.

"What do you have for me, Mr Brisch?" Deputy Director Akkan asked.

“Master, we have received a report from our spies in the easternmost continent of Rodenius. A few hours ago, they sent out a data packet containing information about a new country that had turned the tables against Lourian forces. Since these spies were in the capital and were subjected to an information quarantine and a local Lourian propaganda campaign, we were not able to find out about these newcomers sooner.

Director Akkan took another sip from his cup while pondering over the news. "Hmm, it's okay," he waved his hand. “Important information until. Who is this newcomer?”

Brisch read the report on his hand, “The newcomers identified as the country being moved known as the United States. They claim to be a mechanical state, but the reports from our spies are quite.

Akkan put down his cup and leaned his back on the table while taking the report from Brisch's hand. "Science fiction?" He started reading the battle reports.

“Yes, Sir,” Brisch put his hands behind his back as he recited information from memory, a skill that reflected the talent of the Gra Valka Intelligence Bureau. “These Americans have a technology similar to ours, though a little different. Their fleet consists mostly of what we assume to be light cruisers, with several heavy cruisers and aircraft carriers on board. The main armament of their naval vessels consisted of large cannons, with calibers of about four to six inches. It seems that they mainly rely on their carrier-based aircraft for offensive and defensive missions, considering their cannons are peashooter.”

Akkan placed the paper on the table and looked at the ceiling, deep in thought. "Remote. I've heard rumors about the incredible effectiveness of naval aircraft... Of course, this was only a simulation of a battle against the Holy Kingdom of Cain, and not an actual battle. How exactly do their planes justify such drastic differences in naval doctrine?”

“Their plane is able to break through the sound barrier. They used a swept-wing design and relied on some sort of propulsion at the rear, rather than propellers at the front of the aircraft. These planes can be equipped with — bombs which implies that Americans are most likely familiar with the use of bombs during the — sea battle or magical weapons. Locals call it the 'pointing light arrow', along with several other variations. This arrow is able to follow enemy targets and destroy them through internal charge.”

I'll sigh, “I wonder when magic will trouble us. Things like this make me a little afraid of the people in this world, ” he said while shaking his head. “Send this information to Information Technology Department. Let them handle this shit..”.

"Yes sir." Brisch turned around, preparing to go to her desk and retrieve a copy of her report.

“Ah, wait. Do we have an update on the barbarians called... Paganda?”

“Master, the analysis of their troops has been completed and the national supervisory army is ready to provide punishment. We have a task force of warships and aircraft carriers heading to Paganda as we speak.”

“It sounds a bit exaggerated considering the primitive nature of this barbarian,” Akkan's lips curved upwards, “But they deserve it. If only I could have witnessed their deaths.”.

The Gra Valkas National Supervisory Army

On the way to the Kingdom of Paganda

A skinny veteran saw a wyvern coming in from his ship's bridge. Captain Luxtal of the GVS Class Atlastar rubs his shell and adjusts his hat as the wyvern begins to split. Overhead, the Antares fighters roared past the fleet. The iconic sound of their propellers reverberated throughout the once calm waters, engendering a fear of the primitive and instilling a sense of pride in the Gra Valkas champions.

Wyverns spat out their relative fireballs to the Antares fighters, proving the accuracy of their intelligence reports. Incoming projectiles are easily avoided by fast fighters, whose pilots incur no additional cost other than a slight upward swerve. In what could be called a one-sided exchange — is almost laughable —, a proud monoplane swept through the fleeing wyvern knights and panicked. Streams of light were emitted from the plane, producing a hail of blood hitherto unknown to Paganda residents.

Sailing ships begin to appear, forming a blockade. Luxtal scoffs at the sight, “What a pity... They still employ sailing ships, yet they have the courage to call us barbarians? Tsk, we should never have sent a sailing ship to make first contact. Some idiots we have in the State Department.”.

“Stupid indeed, Sir. How do you want us to get involved? An officer asked.

Luxtal responded with metallic certainty in his voice, reflecting his cold and unforgiving demeanor. “Catch them. Give the order to empty the deck, ”he said. After a short pause, he explained, “Pouring bullets behind them, primitive canoes are not needed. Save ammunition for bombing. The destroyer can eliminate the survivors, ” he said with a wave of his hand.

The officer was surprised by his captain's decision, standing still for two seconds before issuing a response. “It will be done, sir. Glory to the Kingdom of Gra Valkas!” He saluted then went to relay Luxtal's orders.

Grade Atlastar continued forward, followed by its destroyer escort and an aircraft carrier at the rear. Meanwhile, the Antares fighters move towards the coast, trying to eliminate the remaining air units. Lines of light were fired in various directions as tracking bullets marked the start of the battle in the capital Paganda.

——

Even without the support of wyverns, persistent defenders held out on the high seas. The terrible castle of a ship approached them, and they prepared balistas and fire arrows. Admiral Laro of Pagandan's Royal Navy trembled where he stood, amazed by the metal giants that sailed quickly towards them.

Dozens of balista bolts and thousands of arrows were released from Pagandan's fleet of 50 sailing ships. Some cannon shots even join — this is a weapon obtained from their mighty benefactor, the superpower Leifor. Admiral Laro now felt confident in the strength of his fleet, no longer faced with doubts a few minutes ago.

The combined weapon fire impacted the huge metal giant, bouncing off the armor. Most of the balista and cannon fire missed from the upper deck of the ship, only hitting the armored hull along its bow. After seeing that his attack had not damaged the metal ship, Laro felt his heart fall. His fear returned tenfold after an additional realization that the alien ship, despite devastating damage to the ship, was advancing at full speed. "They don't - no... They're not slowing down!" Admiral Laro stepped back as the shadow of the great ship began to swallow his own ship. “They will hit us; quickly, move!”

“Master, we can't! The other ships in the blockade have trapped us, and our rowers cannot move us in time!” Captain shouts.

"What the fuck is this ?!" He shouted at the captain.

"Sorry sir, but we— ack!"

Admiral Laro's ship, along with several others in the vicinity, was destroyed by the force of a 70,000-tonne ship that broke through the blockade. Wood chips flew from the broken board, piercing dozens of Pagandan sailors who were desperately trying to jump into the water. The few who managed to jump into the sea before the terrifying warship crashed into them found themselves in another unfortunate scenario. The 70,000-ton displacement at 27 knots is a painful experience for those stuck in the path of the ship. Blood and wood rose from the depths, along with the shredded remains of those who had a personal encounter with a Grade Atlastar propeller .

The 47 surviving blockade ships were then destroyed by the destroyer Gra Valkan, which waited until Grade Atlastar was at a safe distance. After the near-instantaneous destruction of the blockade, a fleet of metal vessels pierced through the watery grave to rejoin the main ship. Two destroyers were set aside to aid in the rescue operation, many angry officers wanting to ignore their old war rules - rules no longer applied in this barbaric world.

——

Captain Luxtal lit a cigar while cannon fire echoed in the background. Enjoying the sound of war, he inhaled smoke before removing the cigar from his mouth, holding it with his right hand. He smiled as he exhaled smoke, his eyes sparkling in anticipation of Paganda's punishment.

“Master, the blockade has been removed. What's your order?”

Luxtal sucked his cigar again. "Hmm," he stopped dramatically as he let out more smoke. “Considering that they show no mercy to our royal diplomats His eyes drifted into the castle in the distance. “Truly spoil the view. You see that castle over there?” He pointed his finger.

"Yes sir."

“I don't want to see it again.”

“Understanding, Sir. Even the foundation should not be allowed to stand.”

Captain Luxtal smiled as he saw the main weapon of the Grade Atlastar being fired, swallowing the Royal Castle of Pagandan with the vengeance of the Gra Valkas Empire.

Leifor Offshore

On top of LES Holly, a man wearing a Napoleon-era uniform holds binoculars into his eyes. He tracked the single ship as it crossed the waves, steadfast and unaffected by the fleet of 43 ships rushing to meet him. From what he could see, despite being large, the ship had about a dozen cannons. By comparison, its flagship has a hundred cannons: 50 for each flyer. The other ships in his command had an equally staggering number, with most of them being 80-armed-row-ships. He almost felt pity for the single ship that dared to provoke the emperor.

"General," a voice called out from behind him.

General Bal put down his binoculars and turned around, twirling his mustache as he did so. "Yes, captain?"

“Our wyvern knights did not find any other ships around the metal ship. It travels alone!”

"Ha" General Bal smiled. “They have become arrogant because of their victory against the Kingdom of Paganda. Do they not know who they are dealing with? We are one of the great superpowers! Let's send these fools right away.”

"Master," said the captain with a worried look, "It looks a lot like Mu's ship ..."

General Bal pondered the appearance of the ship and its mechanical elements. “Hm, yes. Given the design, I think it is safe to assume this ship is similar to yours, so we should be careful. We might expect casualties, but we should be able to defeat them with numbers and firepower. I don't know how the barbarians could use such a sophisticated ship, but even Mu's mechanized navy was invincible. Have all the ships move forward and launch a combined naval and air raid with the wyvern knights. Have them coordinate with Knight Captain Dirk.”

The wyvern knights flew in circles over Holly while the other ships sailed forward, propelled to 12 knots by the domestic production Tears of Leifor. After a few minutes, the wyvern knights flew over to join their comrades at sea who were now ten kilometers away from the enemy. At a distance of fifteen kilometers from the metal ship, the wyvern knights expected to arrive a little earlier, but this was not important. Considering the history of Elysian warfare, 40 wyvern rulers were more than enough to crush a single enemy, even without the support of a fleet.

However, the flash of light and smoke from the ship's weapons shattered their ancient perception. A new reality now befalls this world, born of thunder in the distance from a ship to be recorded in history: The legendary Atlastar Grade .
