Tanto felt a cold gust of wind as he exited the fire station. He had been working hard all day, and although he knew that there were many things to do, there was one thing he did not want to miss. It was the anniversary of the engagement of his old friend, Lisa.
Lisa was one of Tanto's closest friends during his college years. The two of them have many memories together, and although their relationship has changed since then, Tanto still deeply values their friendship.
Tanto went to a nearby flower shop and picked out a beautiful bouquet of flowers. She knew that Lisa had always loved flowers, and she wanted to give them as a token of appreciation for their friendship that had lasted so long.
As she walked back to her car with the flower, she felt warm in her heart. It is true that his job as a firefighter is a dangerous and stressful job, but he also knows that there are many good things in life that are worth being grateful for.
Meanwhile, in the hospital, Tanti was working on a patient file when she heard someone calling her name. He turned his head and saw a familiar-looking woman standing in front of him.
The woman smiled widely. "How coincidental are we to meet here!"
I recognized the woman's face. It was Mia, his classmate when he was in college. The two of them had attended the same medical education program, and although they rarely met after graduation, they always had good memories of each other.
"Of course, Mia!" Tanti smiled as she raised her hand to shake hands with Mia. "How are you? It's been a long time since we've met."
Mia replied, "I know, right? I just moved to this city because of work. I now work at this hospital as an orthopedic surgeon."
I was surprised to hear the good news. "Wow, so amazing! Congratulations, Mia. I also work here as a surgeon."
Mia smiled back. "We've both accomplished a lot since graduating, huh?"
Tanti nodded in agreement. "really so. What about your family and personal life?"
Mia began to tell about her life since graduation, about her professional journey, and how she finally decided to move to this city. Tanti also tells of her journey that is no less interesting, including her experience in the operating room at this time.
The two of them continued to talk enthusiastically, sharing stories about the past and present. It was an unexpected encounter, but it was also a wonderful opportunity to reflect on their life journey since they first met in college.
As the two of them spoke, they felt that despite the many things that had changed in their lives, their friendship remained unchanged. They were two people who had once dreamt big and had now turned that dream into reality.
Tanti and Mia plan to meet again for dinner together and pursue more memories together. After this unexpected encounter, they feel even more grateful for their friendship and all they have achieved in their lives.
Tanto and his team fought hard to extinguish the growing fire inside the building. They had managed to evacuate most of the trapped people, but some people were still trapped inside. The water source that was normally used to extinguish the fire was running low, and Tanto felt the pressure increase.
"Darn, the water source is running out" he told his colleague, Satria, who was next to him.
Satria turned towards Tanto with a worried face. "What should we do, Tanto? The fire's getting bigger, and we need more water."
Tanto thought for a while, then made up his mind. "Come, we're trying to find another way to get water. We might be able to find a hydrant closer."
On the other side of the city, Tanti is dealing with a problem that is no less serious. A new patient has been taken into the hospital with serious injuries and requires immediate blood transfusion. However, after talking to the patient's family, Tanti realized that they refused to give consent for the blood transfusion.
"We apologize, Doctor Tanti," the patient's father said in a stern tone. "But it violates our religious beliefs to receive blood transfusions."
Tanti understood the importance of religious beliefs, but she also knew that patients' lives were in danger if they did not immediately perform blood transfusions. He felt a dilemma and tried to explain the situation to the patient's family.
"I understand how important your religious beliefs are" he said attentively. "But the life of this patient is very much in danger. Without a blood transfusion, we might not be able to save him."
The patient's mother was crying, while her father looked confused. They all felt pressured by this situation, and Tanti felt a great responsibility rested on her shoulders. He knew he had to find the right solution, but time passed, and the patient grew weaker.
Tanto and Satria managed to find a closer hydrant and returned to the building with more water. They immediately resumed fire suppression efforts in hopes of controlling the fires. Inside the building, several people were successfully evacuated, but they still did not find several other victims.
Tanti kept talking to the patient's family, trying to convince them of the importance of blood transfusions. He tried to find information about their religious beliefs and find a solution that was acceptable to all parties. There was no time to argue, and he had to make a decision immediately.
Tanto and Tanti are both in a difficult situation, where they have to make decisions that can affect the lives of others. They feel great pressure and responsibility, but they also know that they must act quickly to save lives.
After hours of struggle, the blazing fire in the building was finally extinguished. Tanto and his team, along with other firefighters, took a breath of relief as they watched the flames recede. They immediately inspected the building to make sure that there were no more flames left.
In the operating room, Tanti and her medical team were also relieved. Survivors of the building have been given immediate medical care and are now in recovery. Tanti examined the little boy with severe burns she had operated on, and a small smile flashed across her face when she saw signs of recovery.
After all the patients get the care they need, Tanti joins Tanto outside the building. The two looked at each other with a smile of relief. They know that they have done their best in this difficult situation.
Tanto rubbed his dusty face with the back of his hand. "It was one of the biggest fires I've ever had" he told Tanti.
Tanti nodded in agreement. "I feel it too. But most importantly, we managed to save countless lives."
Tanto looked at his brother with pride. "You're right, Tanti. And you've also done an amazing job here."
The two of them sat in the garden located in front of the hospital. The sky was getting dark, and the street lights were starting to light up. They are relieved and grateful that they have successfully carried out their duties as firefighters and doctors.
Tanto leaned against the garden chair and looked up at the night sky. "This reminds me of the importance of life and family, Tanti. Sometimes we forget how fragile life is."
Tanti nodded. "That's right, Tanto. And we should always be prepared to deal with an emergency situation like this."
As they sat together under the stars, they reflected on their experiences today. They know that their job is not always easy, but they both feel proud to be able to help others in emergency situations.
