The Artificially Genius Doctor
The Beginning of Entering the Campus World

Rudi set his foot on the sprawling and majestic medical campus. As far as the eye could see, shady trees lined up neatly, keeping students busy discussing. The dried leaves fall in the morning breeze, adding to the romantic impression in the autumn. On the other side of the city, the tall glass buildings of the IT faculty building appear glittering, reflecting the spirit of young Elsa who is starting her adventure.

At noon, in a cafeteria of the medical campus, Rudi sat beside a large window while biting on a sandwich. He pondered, looking at the expanse of the park with a fountain in the middle. The birds chirped merrily, flying low grabbing the crumbs on the edge of the park.

Rudi's phone vibrated. "Elsa sends a photo," a notification appears on the screen. Rudi smiled broadly. The photo features Elsa with her hair disheveled, sitting in front of a computer against the background of the windows of city buildings.

"Hey, Doc! See the view from the 15th floor! How are you doing there?" write Elsa.

Rudi replied immediately, "It's so pretty! I'm doing fine. But I miss our discussion at night."

"me too. Unfortunately, we can't meet often. But, how about we set up a special schedule each week for video calls?" Elsa offers.

"Agreed! How's tonight?" Rudi looked at the sky that was beginning to dim, his expectations of a virtual meeting with Elsa made his heart flutter.

"Sure! I'll take you around my campus via video call" Elsa replied enthusiastically.

Rudi finished his lunch with joy. As he went home, he was surprised to see someone sitting on the front steps of the library. A woman with long blonde hair who looks like Elsa. Rudi approached, but as the woman turned her head, she realized that it was not Elsa. His face was red.

"Damn it, I really miss him" muttered Rudi. He continued his steps with a slightly mixed feeling.

Later that night, after hours of surfing in medical textbooks, Rudi's phone rang. Elsa called in a video call. Rudi lifted her up and Elsa's face appeared on the screen, illuminated by the light of the computer screen and the city outside the window.

"Hey, Elsa! How was your first day?" asked Rudi with shining eyes.

Elsa sighed, "It's exhausting. But I'm glad I got to start. Look at this," Elsa is moving her phone, exposing a state-of-the-art laboratory with many computers lined up. "This is my new world" he said proudly.

Rudi smiled, "I'm proud of you. Don't forget to rest, yeah. You look tired."

Elsa nodded, her eyes slightly teary. "I miss you, Rudi. But we have to stay strong, yes. For our future."

Rudi looked at Elsa with emotion, "Sure. We're gonna get through this together."

They talked late, sharing stories, laughter, and hope. Despite being far apart, their bond grows stronger, promising to support each other in their respective journeys.

Rudi walked towards the campus library with his head bowed and lethargic steps. The dry leaves shifted under his shoes, forming a monotonous rhythm amidst the quiet atmosphere of the campus. A voice broke his silence, "Hey, Rudi! What are you waiting for here?" Said Bryan, a classmate at the medical school, while brandishing the same textbook as Rudi's.

In a corner of the cafe, Elsa sits beside a large window. Aulia, her colleague in computer science, sits opposite her, her laptop and notes scattered across their desks. "Elsa, you should see this code. It's revolution!" Aulia said excitedly.

A new email arrives at Elsa's inbox, containing an internship interview invitation from NeuralTech. Her eyes grew bigger, "Aulia, I. I got it!"

Aulia read the email and hugged Elsa tightly, "Congratulations! But...how about Rudi?"

Elsa bit her lip, "I'm worried about her."

Rudi, meanwhile, shares her heart's doubts with Bryan while walking home. "Bryan, I feel like I'm in the wrong world."

Rudi's phone vibrated. A message from Elsa: "Hey, Rudi. Can we talk tonight? There's something I want to share." Rudi replies, telling Elsa that she will come with Bryan.

That night, in the gazebo of the city park, the four gathered. Elsa introduces Aulia, and soon the four are immersed in discussions about the future, technology, and medicine. Elsa and Aulia share the IT world, while Rudi and Bryan talk about the pressures of the medical world.

"I got an internship offer at NeuralTech," Elsa revealed. Rudi turned his head with a mixed expression, but Bryan looked enthusiastic, "That's amazing! But what about Rudi?"

Elsa and Rudi exchanged looks. Rudi spoke in a quivering voice, "I feel overwhelmed by the medical lecture, El. Did I choose wrong?"

Aulia patted Elsa on the shoulder, "I'm sure you'll find your way." Bryan added, "We're all here to support each other."

The four of them continue the night with laughter and stories, celebrating success and supporting each other through uncertainty. Despite being at a crossroads, they know that friendship and support are the keys to dealing with it.

The next afternoon, it rained heavily. At the medical campus, Rudi faces his most challenging anatomical practicum so far. The rain water that soaked his window was like describing the doubt that was dripping in his heart. On the other side of town, on the top floor of a skyscraper, Elsa is in her first interview for an internship at NeuralTech. Nervousness was clearly visible on his face.

"Why did you choose NeuralTech?" ask interviewer.

"I want to contribute to developing technologies that can change the world" Elsa replied steadily.

Meanwhile, Rudi talked to Bryan after the practicum. "I really don't feel right here" he said with a grim face.

Bryan looked at her seriously, "Rudi, what do you really want? Medical or IT world?"

Rudi fell silent. That was the question that had haunted his mind.

In the cafeteria, Elsa meets Aulia, her face red with enthusiasm. "They offered me an internship! But I'm worried about Rudi."

Aulia took a deep breath, "Sometimes, Elsa, we have to make a decision for ourselves."

That night, in Elsa's apartment, Rudi and Elsa sit on the balcony with a cup of tea in hand. The city shone with its lights, and the sky seemed so close.

Elsa started the conversation, "I'm welcome at NeuralTech."

Rudi smiled weakly, "Congratulations, El. I'm really proud of you."

But Elsa could feel something was up, "What about you, Rudi? How does it feel in medical school?"

Rudi stared at his teacup, "I feel trapped. I miss the days when we learned hacking together."

Elsa put her hand on Rudi's hand, "Perhaps, Rudi, you should decide for yourself, not for anyone else."

Rudi looked at Elsa, her eyes watering. Both of them feel trapped by their choices. However, in the confusion, they know one thing: they will always support each other, no matter what decisions they make.
