Old Memories of Elsa and Rudi

The sun sets in the western horizon, emitting orange and red colored light, creating a dramatic twilight sky. Tanti sat on the terrace of her house, enjoying the beauty of nature that captivated her heart. The house is located on the edge of a small lake, where the twilight light is beautifully reflected on the calm water surface. In the distance, shady trees provide cool with their shimmering leaves.

"Wait, there's a call for you!" the voice of Tanto, his brother, came from inside the house.

Tanti distracts her from the stunning twilight and into the house. When he picked up the phone, he felt awkward because he rarely received calls at home.

"Yes, hello?" Tanti replied doubtfully.

"Good night, Tanti. This is Doctor Hasan from the hospital" said the voice across the phone.

Tanti immediately felt confused. "Doctor Hasan? Can I help you?"

"There's sudden news. The head of the surgical department needs you immediately in the hospital. There are important patients you need to deal with."

Tanti felt her heart beating fast. "What's going on? Is the patient okay?"

"The famous "diplomat, Mr. Farid, suddenly had a serious medical problem. The case is very complex, and the department head feels you are the most appropriate person to handle it. We need you right away in the hospital."

Tanti tried to overcome her panic. "I'll be here soon."

After hanging up the phone, Tanti felt heavy breathing. He had never faced a case this complex before. Mr. Farid is a well-known diplomat known throughout the country. The responsibility is huge, and Tanti feels tremendous pressure.

Tanto approached her with a worried face. "What's going on, Tanti?"

Tanti explained all the information she got from the phone. "I need to get to the hospital. It's an urgent case, and I'm the doctor appointed to handle it."

Tanto nodded with understanding. "I'll take you. We don't have much time."

Tanti immediately got ready, put on her white coat and patted her long hair. The two of them got out of the house quickly and slid towards the hospital in the midst of the darkening twilight. An urgent life-saving mission has begun, and Tanti feels that she must be prepared for all her challenges.

Tanti and Tanto arrived at the hospital in a relatively quick time. They headed straight for the intensive care room where Mr Farid was being treated. Doctor Hasan, the head of the surgical department, was already waiting for them.

"Doctor Tanti, I am very grateful that you can come quickly," Doctor Hasan said as he gave Tanti a hand.

"I'm always ready to help patients, Doctor Hasan. What happened to Mr Farid?"

Doctor Hasan explained the situation in detail. Mr. Farid had a sudden heart attack and suffered serious damage to his heart valve. The case is particularly complicated because Mr Farid also has a complex medical history. He had had several heart surgeries before.

Tanto, who is also an experienced paramedic, provided moral support to Tanti. The two of them then headed to Tanti's office to begin intensive research and planning.

After the meeting was over, Tanti and Tanto returned to Mr. Farid's room. They explain the operation plan to the patient and his family in detail. The patient and his family highly value their transparency and professionalism.

Tanti then began performing simulated operations in the surgical laboratory. He practiced each movement meticulously, focusing on prudence and accuracy. Tanto acts as an assistant, providing the tools needed and overseeing the simulation process.

Over the next few days, Tanti continued to prepare herself intensively. She does a lot of exercises, reads similar case studies, and makes sure she has a backup plan for any possible complications that may occur during surgery.

Tanto provides much-needed moral and practical support. He became Tanti's right-hand man in every way, taking care of details such as the operating schedule, the equipment needed, and the patient's preparation.

On the night before the operation, Tanti sat on the porch of her home again, wearing her white coat, and looking at the sparkling stars in the night sky. He mused about the great responsibility he was carrying and prayed for the operation to go smoothly. Tanto sat next to him, giving wordless support.

Rudi smiled too. "I remember that time. I was so nervous writing it."

They sat cross-legged on the floor and started reading other love letters. Each letter expresses their feelings of love, longing, and hope for each other. The letters take them back to their good times as a young couple newly in love.

"We've really been through so much together, huh?" elsa said softly.

Rudi nodded in agreement. "We have gone through many trials and joys together. And now, we have two beautiful children."

Elsa looked at Rudi with an affectionate look. "I'm so lucky to have you, Rudi."

Rudi smiled and grabbed Elsa's hand. "And I'm also very lucky to have you, baby."

The two of them continue on a journey of reminiscing about their past, laughing, sharing stories, and feeling the love that has endured for years. Renovating a room may have to be put on hold for a while, but they know that reminiscing about shared memories is a more important task of the time.
