And now that Nathan's talking to Francoise himself about this, he wants Sara Adams to have a back up, because he and Thomas can't show up, then there must be one person who is strong enough to back up Sara.
"Brother, what are you inviting me to eat like this."
"I want to talk about Sara Adams, you're her boyfriend, right?"
"I consider him a friend, not a lover." Nathan is somewhat confused with Franco's definition of friend. He knew Franco, the many women around him, maybe he meant just one of his female friends, if so he might not care about Sara's fate.
Then it seems that she can't arrange protection through Franco. But he thought about the girl not going to jail. It's a bit confusing, he has to rack his brain looking for someone else.
"Friends.you mean like your many girlfriends." Nathan gives a guess on the term friend he called.
"No, he's a good friend, a friend, our relationship really doesn't involve a romantic story. I trust him. So I consider him my important friend." Nathan digested those words, but only slightly understood.
"You have a strange definition. I'm kind of confused, if that girl's in danger do you care?" Now he is testing it more clearly.
"Obviously I care! What's wrong with her." Well now this is becoming clearer to Nathan.
"Ehm like this.." Nathan recounted emails they intercepted at two Russian agents who were in the US about the possibility they would be involved in the US election, they wanted to threaten them to switch sides, using all the data we have now." There are several detailed explanations of what is expected to happen.
"Hmm.okay, what are you asking of me."
"It's a dangerous task, I want you to act as his protector. We can't bring ourselves up, take this from you, your strength, consider him someone close to you, we'll provide all the support for him."
"We will provide all support. But we need people strong enough to move forward with him. We can't be seen in this operation."
"All right, you can count on me." Nathan is relieved Francoise can be counted on to help in the meantime.
"Then it is decided, in two weeks Nicholai Manturov comes here, we will make a meeting with him. My men will intercept him as soon as he lands. And you'll talk to him, I'll help you talk from behind."
"Well, how long are you going to hold Sara in as a freelance agent?" Francoise suddenly asked.
"Three years and he agreed."
"Make it two after he completes this negotiating assignment and it's my pay." Nathan smiled, it seems that Francoise cares about Sara's fate. She'll be the protector of the woman who doesn't seem to have that power.
"agree. It seems that he really is someone you consider a friend." Nathan laughs.
"He's my friend." Francoise replied firmly. The girl was intending to protect her only mother so that she got into this state, she could not let the girl wretch. So now he's gonna stand with her.
"alright. I'll arrange everything, including having Thomas explain how he should talk. Thomas can't be seen with you guys. As for me, I can disguise my position because I am the director of the company.
"Okay, set it up."
They will take care of this overly brave Russia together.
