The Billionaire Mafia

The Billionaire Mafia
Have I Wrongly Judged It?

Helena's gaze was fixed on the Thames River which stretched widely below. The look on her face did not show the sadness as before, the woman looked freer as if she had no more burdens.

"If you want to be angry, get angry. I'll listen to everything." Helena's voice broke the silence that happened for a while. Both himself and the man he knew named Arthur just kept silent staring at the expanse of the river.

When there was no word from Arthur, Helena then turned her head, she grieved because the man was so cold and did not want to say his words. Helena then turned her attention away from Arthur and looked back at the River Thames and circulated it until it stopped at Tower Bridge.

"I hate him. Do you know, I hate him because so many people love him. His friends, Mikel and even." Helena turned her head, looking at the face of the man who was still staring straight ahead. Until that moment Arthur turned his head, making their views now meet each other. For a moment the two looked at each other, before Arthur broke eye contact first.

"I don't know your relationship with a woman named Elie, so you're always watching me for her."

Yes, Helena already knew everything, she even had to hire someone to know who had always followed her wherever she went. And he was quite surprised because they were men who were men named Arthur Kennard Romanov, a man who was quite influential in Europe. Despite not getting a response from Arthur, Helena remained vocal. Whether he heard it or not, he did not care because right now he just wanted to let out what he felt.

"I really had no ill intentions on him, let alone harm him. At that time I was angry so I always tried to find trouble with him. But Mikel." Helena smiled bitterly as she recalled Mikel's words that so struck her heart.

Not feeling his tears again shed, but it was as strong as he could hold it. Helena hastily wiped away the tears in the corner of her eyes before Arthur noticed. But the assumption was wrong because Arthur had realized it since.

Arthur clucked, still straightening the view towards the expanse of the Thames River. "I don't know anything about love because I've never felt it. But all I know is, if that guy loves you, he won't let you lower yourself." Arthur then turned his body toward Helena. "Look, you look pathetic for wanting a man who never saw you" he added. Arthur's words sounded so piercing, that it left Helena flabbergasted in disbelief.

"You?" Helena shook her head with a tongue. "You're really spicy mouth. You should have comforted me with sweet words, but you did...." Ck, Helena is not even able to continue her sentence. He is completely out of thought with Arthur because his attitude is even more annoying than Mikel.

Arthur maintained a flat countenance, even remaining indifferent as the woman protested. "You're wrong to think I'll comfort you with sweet words" he said.

Helena did not answer, but the woman took a deep breath. As if he was exhaling a burden that always clenched tightly to make it so tight.

"I'm a bitch like they say." Helena's memory revolves around past events, where she always tries to find trouble just to get Mikel's attention. But the man still ignored himself.

"But I'm only human. And I bleed when I fall down... I'm only human (But I'm just an ordinary human being. And I bleed when I fall. I'm just a human being)."

Arthur frowned when he heard Helena singing. But he did not bother her, but let her continue her song.

And I crash and I break down (and I crumble and crumble)

Your words in my head (your words ring in my head)

Knives in my heart (knife in my heart)

You build me up and then I fall apart (you strengthen me and then I break to pieces)

Cause I'm only human (because I'm just a regular human being)

Helena's head looked up, letting the wind blow her face. Memories of the past few years have come to mind, when the Mommy was alive. He had to strengthen his Mommy when he was hurt, but....

"Mom, don't leave Helen alone. Why would Mommy do this? Why would Mommy leave Helen?"

In her memory at that time Helena clutched her lifeless Mommy. And he could do nothing, just cry and blame himself for not being strong enough to strengthen his Mommy due to the affair committed by his Daddy.

As soon as Helena opened her eyes, her breathing was a little breathless as if the incident had just happened yesterday. Three years had passed, but he could not forget it.

Arthur watched in surprise when he found Helena's face stiffening. He wanted to ask but I don't know, he felt it was none of his business.

"Have you ever seen someone you love end their life in front of you?" Not knowing what she was thinking, Helena suddenly raised such a question to Arthur.

The deeper the frown on Arthur's forehead. The question became more and more vague and confused. "Never," he said. Arthur answered despite not understanding the woman's question.

"Then you don't feel it. Because it's gonna hurt a lot." Helena's clear eyes looked innocent, as if telling her something so painful that she was natural. "And if money could return a man who was gone, I would exchange all the possessions I had for him."

Arthur was completely astonished, the woman beside him was always showing a fickle facial expression.

"Yeahhhh......" There was a breath coming from Helena's lips. The woman looked better because someone was willing to accompany her, even though she knew that the man next to her hated her. "Then I'll go first. Thanks for comforting me." Helena smiled as she attached the bag to her shoulder. I don't know what's on her mind, she's pinning her sweetest smile to Arthur

As her steps drew further away, Helena pulled the corner of her lips. But a moment later his tears were shed again and by god he could not hold it back any longer. Helena sobbed in silence, until at last the sound of a cell phone ringing her ear. And make him have to reach the phone in his bag, but when looking at the name listed on the phone screen and shopping seems reluctant to answer it.

But Helena scrolls the green button. He had to answer, because he had repeatedly ignored the call from someone.

"What's wrong?" helena asked as soon as she put the phone on her earlobe.

"You're completely ignoring my calls?" The baritone sound was so low.

"Sorry, since yesterday I was busy" said Helena.

"Alright I understand, after all I just want to remind you not to forget about your medicine. You know not if you forget to drink it one day, you'll-"

"I know." Helena interrupted. "Because I'm your obedient patient, I take my medicine every day, so don't worry about me."

"Good."

"Hem, it's a long time ago." Helena then decided on the phone unilaterally, she did not want to linger on answering the call. Because according to him, the doctor who handled it can always know when he lied.

****

"Because he humiliated me. He's also been making my fiancee not care about me lately. My fiancee is her ex-lover and I want to teach her a lesson for daring to play around with the daughter of the Born family."

"Hows it? Do you want to work with me to get rid of him?" tanyanya back.

"An interesting offer but unfortunately I had to turn it down."

"But why? Don't you hate him as much as I do?"

"True, I do hate him but that doesn't mean I'll work with you. I have my own way, so I don't want to get involved with your plans."

"You'll regret refusing to cooperate with me." Carmela's voice sounded angry and unacceptable.

"Maybe but at least I wouldn't be so hated by Mikel. You better stop it too, aren't you tired of bothering that woman?" Helena suggests that Carmela stop her plan because she thinks it will be a waste.

"You don't have to rest me!"

"Ck, it's up to you. I'm leaving first, it's good to meet you."

When he arrived at the hospital parking lot, Arthur did not rush into it. He grasps a recording device that he has repeatedly listened to the contents of the recording, the recording when Helena and Carmela meet. At that time his men who always watch over Helena tell him if the two women meet each other. So Arthur ordered his men to ask the waiter to put a recording object similar to a magnet so that it can stick to any object, including under the table. And the waiter attached an object capable of recording Helena's conversation with Carmela under the table while delivering orders for the two women.

Arthur was stunned and just stared at the small object intently. I don't know what she thought, only she knew.

"Have I misjudged it?" muttered.

To be continue
